yep need for speed and do we see a diffrence ..well i don't..still sooo much LAG about. 300 pvpers in a system and you still get 2-5 mins loading time.... into your pod
so much more wrong with eve as well ..you disco from the net emegency warp don't work and 3 little cruisers kill you ..GM's say tuff sh*t.
in 4 1/2 yrs of game play i myself would say at this moment eve/ccp need to inject some of the ú700k-1mil they make each month back into the game and fast ...
you can only lie to the NOOB's for so long they promise so much and give so little ..
now will they block or remove this thread .. or will it get smacked to death by some gm in a player disguise

They did.
CCP hired an economist with a PHD, bought-up a U.S. company that makes pen & paper and card games, launched another server farm in China, and spent 100 man years creating lots of new shiny artwork and new ships.
Next, you will be able to walk around in stations so you won't have to ever be distracted by lag or undocking unless you want to go and hang out in another station in yet another giant chat room.
Maybe it's the "need for greed" initiative I am thinking about here, or perhaps the "speed" CCP is talking about is the crystal methamphetamine kind.

One thing have changed though: The EVE-O Average Population number. Not sure, but I think the number have been jacked up by... 10.000 new concurrent players since the start of Need for Speed?

That number is conservative i believe the pop has doubled since the initiative had begun and i CAN see differences from when i first started playing to now. There are changes but its not something thats easily noticed unless you know what you are looking for. I figure once my new computer is up and running that the changes made will be even more visible. Its never going to be perfect but its a lot better than it was.

If you're unhappy with what you're getting you should either (1) make some constructive criticism or (2) stop paying; paying for something you're unhappy with makes no sense.
Making terribly uninformed whines does little to help you get (your idea of) your money's worth.

Its not an uninformed whine, we must deal with this lag in virtually every battle. |

Players or multiple accounts?
I suggest the later, with older players mainly reactivating, with very few "new" players joining.
The whole nfs thing is kinda moot anyway, unfortunately ccp decides to turn 0.0 isk making opportunities into longer grinds (exploration ect, a turn off to most), couple that with the increases in the hardcore players that stick with eve, that have increased the populations in 0.0 space, aka their competing for static resources to fund their activity that could barely support the population of 2 years ago.
Sadly the easy/ier answers for most is to create new accounts for highsec alt mission running
Easy isk ofcourse (and people wonder why ccp keep it that way )
Sadly being the word, as it's those multiples that turn the game into an unplayable mess every evening and weekend.
Populations in high sec mission running areas have doubled.
With that in mind, how is the great 'need for speed' ever going to work out
You could point the finger at ccp, they encourage multiple accounts through promotions, gtc's, and slack 'out of whack' unbalanced game fetaures

need for speed was actually the need for speed bumps all along to combat lag. what this need for speed of theirs actually did was slow down our gameplay. the need for speed initiative is an oxymoron.
-delayed wallet transaction when ratting -delayed eve mail to new corp members upon joining -reduced the number of scanable objects in space -elimiated belts in certain high sec areas -re-routed paths in certain "congested" routes near jita -delayed kill mail -worsen the quality of game logs, information dissapears after you dock. -delayed chat boxes and invites -delayed common chat boxes during log in while in game -deletion and shuffeling of corp mail does not auto-update to all online members anymore. -market transactions delay and browsing.
there are probably more need for speed "features" but i cannot think of nothing else now. now, you tell me, where do you see the speed in all of this?

I'll highlight the most noticable.
Lag.
-was horrible when I started. -They did some tweaks and warp to 0. the lack of need of eleventy gagillion bookmarks was removed, and the people copying bookmarks for sale ended was a good day. lag got a lot better. -Further Tweaks made it even better -Lag got worse not sure why -desyncs were introduced as a game mechanic -trinity hit things got better, then worse -don't go to jita expanded to dodixie and oseleart on weekends
Drones -were stupid -were fixed and actually did what you told them. -are now stupid again, with the added bonus of getting to see when they go stupid. Sentry drones can now be as idiotic as their counterparts.

The lag is much improved for the 90% of us who don't engage in 300+ fleet battles. I mean **** dude, that is half the number of people in jita, what do you expect?

Difference? well ccp got the speed right, unless ur not fitted in a speed ship or a speed countering ship, don't bother with smallscale pvp.

That used to be 100 instead of 300... The diffrence is small, and people will always bring more untill it lags.. Originally by: flearider in 4 1/2 yrs of game play i myself would say at this moment eve/ccp need to inject some of the ú700k-1mil they make each month back into the game and fast ...

There is still more work to be done, but there is a noticeable difference. While sitting in Jita it used to take me forever to drag and drop equipment in and out of my ship hardpoints, but after Trinity I am able to slide them in and out with very little lag.
I think they have done a good job so far, and things are only going to get better from here.

i lagg less in jita on this alt then on my main doing a 8/10... Thank god there's a remote shieldrep running on the tank that will run to infinity without going out of cap. It's currently enough to knock out the incomming damage. Drones are ripping through the BS's while the cruisemissiles wont do jack **** as they aren't fiering...

Players or multiple accounts? [...]
TBH that does not matter.
What does matter is the game seems to be less laggy and that is taken place with even more people online at the same time then when the Need for speed started.
Some of the gained CPU resources of the "need for speed" process, have been "eaten up" by the additional 10.000 concurrent players upping it to a total of 40.000 concurrent players on a sunday night, and the weekly concurrent average on 30.000 players! The remaining gained CPU though have still eased the lag a little. But as long people throw more and more people into fleet battles, lagg will be ever persistent.
Computers have its limits. This is just something we have to accept. Particularily if we wants to keep the "one server - one game" rule.
