Hmm, faction warfare?

That would hang together pretty nicely
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

I was wandering around the NASA website after seeing tonight's lunar eclipse when I found something interesting that I'd forgotten about.
In 2002, the star V838 Monocerotis suddenly became the brightest star in all the Milky Way, overshadowing all others. NASA's site says that V838 is 20,000 lightyears away from our sun, and that it's probably a young binary star; but aside from that, they have no idea why it might have suddenly become so bright.
The website also says that the star's light will continue to expand across the V838 solar system for at least the remainder of the decade.
How cool is that?
Maybe the white star in our EvE sky is a tribute to that? |

Whatever the new star is, I think it is really cool. Added a bit of mystery to the game, which peaked my interest. Hasn't happened in a long time.
I hope something comes of it.

Very interesting. At this point, considering how little we know about wormhole phenomenon, I'm going to guess that this is the early formation of one.
It will be interesting to see where this leads, if anywhere at all.

Edited by: Calimor on 21/02/2008 14:28:06 Here's my two cents:
I think it is somehow related to The Order. Only they seems to be powerful enough (or crazy) to create something that would so much defy the laws of physics.
Jovians were kinda supposed to be a playable race. If something went bad and it was the Jovian's fault, it wouldn't make much sense to be able to play with them. Besides, The Order is supposed to be the big villain of EVE.
So I think it will be the first public revelation of The Order, the Jovians will open their stargates back to the Empire, and will join us as a playable race (or not).
Quote: We, the pod pilots, could be ruining their plans for controlling Eve, so they may be preparing a new plan.
Yea, for all that's worth it, that may as well have been the Jovian plan all along when they decided to release the Pod technology. In truth we may be being just weapons in their war all along.

I suspect it will turn out to be a wormhole, which can be a gateway to a new region of space, wherever that is. When current galaxy becomes too populated CCP may add new places to be.

I'm actually a big supporter of this happening. Although, I think due to Chinese law, it won't be.
Franga likes to touch other people's wormholes.

Its the Vogons. They are on the way to remove the EVE cluster to make room for a new intergalactic super-highway.
