I just made my 1st eve toon and I have my med turrets , cruiser2 and drone med and about to train Drone heavy. I really like the Vexor and I like the drones but not sure how a basic PvE set would look like. I'm really happy but kinda anxious that I'll screw it up. I got my calculator out but just can't seem to get it right (I just dont know what is right). Can you cut through the miasma of my mind and give me some BASIC examples of PvE vexor for the noobest of the noobs to cruisers. Thank you in advance.

It works best with an armour tank, so you need Hull Upgrades trained to at least 3. Try fitting a Medium Armor Repairer (the best one you can get), 2-3 rat-specific energized membranes/energized adaptive nano membranes (or hardeners when you have Hull Upgrades 4), and maybe a Damage Control or Capacitor Power Relay. In the mids fit an Afterburner and Cap Rechargers. The highs are really your choice - you might get medium guns (probably Dual 150mm railguns) or if they don't fit, use small railguns with medium-range ammo to help your drones. The main damage comes from drones in any case.
For the actual drones you can use a mix for the highest theoretical damage (2x Heavy, 2x Medium, 1x Light), or use only mediums and carry a bunch of spares (in l1-2 missions you're mostly only fighting frigates anyway, and spares are always handy in missions). -- It's a pity your ship was solar powered! |

Give it another 6 full months of training support/drones/t2tanks and vexor would be a great addition to your arsenal, m8.

I'd say jump right in even if you have to use energised platings, just make sure you get platings that correspond with the NPC dmg type. Use your rail guns first to draw aggro and let lose the drones, you dont need to perma run your tank, just control when you need to activate your repper. It will be more than sufficient to tackle all level2 missions even with poor skills as long as you get the correct resistance platings. But you will likely need a myrmidon for level 3 missions and a domi for 4.

Wow, this has got to be the most blatantly stupid 'helpful suggestion' I've seen on these boards yet.
Unless it was meant sarcastically, in which case well done _______________________________________________

ok fitting for a vexor (and it is a really good ship)
now most of the stuff earlier i cant imagine being too helpful, my personal fitting would be:
highs: 2 x Salvager I 2 x Small Tractor Beam I 1 x 250mm Railgun I (for agro)
Meds: 2 x Cap Recharger I 1 x 10MN Afterburner I
Lows: 1 x Medium Armour Repairer I 1 x Armour Explosive Hardener I 1 x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I 1 x Damage Control I
Drones: 5 x Hammerhead I
now i don't know your skills so you may need a few skills for different modules, specifically hull upgrades 4, if you don't have this skill consider dropping the Explosive Hardener down to an Energized Reactive Membrane I
dont worry too much about the salvagers and tractor beams, those will increase your income a lot but concentrate on tanking and capacitor skills first imo
this fitting will get better with time as your skills improve, test it on level 1 missions and be damned careful going into level 2 missions lol
