Just think, More then 300 Pilots in goon fleet.. A good 80% of them in BS T2, And then they would be scary. Haha.. But wait? What am i thinking, When I was in Rise, they would jump more people then we had in And we would lose 4 ship and they would lose like what..20..25? I lost count :) But if goon did start bring better ship to the fight, They could be the best alliance out there, since they have that many people online.

Put back ontopic - The goons are what they are, alas they tend to be perceived by the last member to join who posts on the forums, which can be many and of varying insight into the game and indeed life in general. There are many good goons out there, alas mainly drowned in the new more learning players. That covers the forums and local aspect. Also factor in if you call somebody a fool alot then they will act one just to press your button ;0.
Now the real aspect is the fleet battles and lag, but thats CCP's problem and they know it. Perish the thought we have a super fleet capable node  , take Jita, they day Jita is solid playable 23/7 is the day fleet battles become fun, at least in the scale that get played out upon the forums :\.
As for goons being able to do anything sole without lots of aids is debatable, eventualy they will have to do that and currently there POS base/ownage needs the support of aid's due to the spread, they could learn alot from BOB, if not already.
But bottom line they are were they are due to there aid's and as such we still have a brickwall they have hit since christmas time. The day they take NOL is the day goons start to die and lose aid's. But i dont see that happening soon, nor do I forsee them growing more aid's and if anything seeing what aid's they do have diluted thru many avenues be it boredom, change of direction or simple fact that they tire of such laglustre events.
But who cares if there having fun, they certainly dont :). Though here is another question for you to ponder:- Would the goons be were they are now without GTC's, personaly I believe the game would be a whole lot different in respect to 0.0. But CCP do need a way to track `farmers` and indeed make money of them thru indirect fines (payed GTC's that get written of at abUSER level), which I would love to see some stats on, indeed offer player rewards for locating farmers thru a cut of there loss's perhaps or weekly lottery :).
Oh and remember - the goons are what YOU make of them, and they certainly dont care what you think, nuff said realy

instead of blobs use subtlety.
if you build.
1. strip club with stadium seating
2. an on site brewery and hash bar.
3. a couple greasy fast food joints.
4. a flea market
5. AND offer a free lapdance coupon with a triple cheeseburger combo.

- LAG for the enemy.
CONS
====
- Easy targets, almost free kills for the enemy, even with 2 GS vs 1 enemy, they still lose due to Noobish battle leadership, lack of skill points, lack of output damage.
- With every ship lost (or even pod lost), you will have to invest some time to get back to the field.
- LAG for yourself and for the allies!
I have looked through some of the threats in here and I saw this one from a Goon member:

How did all that work out for RISE? I haven't heard much from them lately.

Im neither goonswarm or BoB. But i must say that this thread is started by a BoB alt which has a bum which has been kicked. And dont forget its not about beeing able to use t2 or not. It's about beeing not cheap about using them. Not to mention BoB is loosing so i dont think you can exactly **** over the alliances beating your ass!
