So, RA and their pets gloated and crowed for months about giving us the 'mother of all victories' against BoB, and had all the firepower you could wish for at their disposal in the assault of Delve.
Yet it's been weeks now, and there have been no decisive victories at all from the Crowalition.
BoB, on the other hand, have destroyed their Titans and supercaps against incredible odds and have utterly cemented their place in our history as the most impressive alliance this game has ever known.
Momentum and morale is slipping daily on the Coalition side, with alliances like MM giving up and moving out. Goons are getting more and more angry and have stooped to an all time low in metagaming. Sumilarly, participation on the coalition side is also at an all time low.
What happend to the crushing defeat of BoB? Why, even with overwhelming numbers, are the weeks dragging on with no sign of an end?

If you didn't notice they have take QY6... The fighting is still on going in NOL, we are making it very costly for them but nothing is decided yet.

And if the game could actually support fleets this entire war would be completely different.
Everything that has been accomplished by anyone is tainted by lag because of how it completely affects all aspects of planning and execution of objectives.
LV might not have been defeated in JV1V, F-T would be a completely different story, and so on.
BoB is a very competent entity they know how to fight in lag as well or better then anyone else. Its not surprising really what they are doing in delve.

I would think when the victory comes it will be crushing regardless. I can't imagine BOB being "pleasantly surprised" if they lose but lose and it takes an extra 3 weeks.

I don't know man, we managed to push BoB out of ten regions in eight months. That's an average of one region every three weeks, and BoB already lost sov 4 in their supercapital production constellation.
We aren't stripping space from BoB fast enough. :(

The dude's a BoB fan... true enought they are giving a good resistance and stuff but you can't start stating about "mother of all victory" and "the most impressive alliance ever". Lots have happened since EVE portal has closed.
Saying that Red Alliance can't put the assets and the strenght to defeat BoB is wrong. It's in their advantage that everybody thinks they are dumb.
BoB are playing a frontline war with the odds of numbers, it's a dangerous game to play and that is probly why they lost so many Regions.
Coalition (south) pulled some REALLY impressive maneuvers i would say, I can state some:
- S******dly's Defeat in Curse as goons wer still just RA/TCF support fleets.
- The first LV Doomsday trap that killed about 280 goons, LV lost the system anyways.
- The Fall of Veritas Immortalis
- The Fall of ISS
- The fall of LV
- The surprise capital attack on BoB's Titan factory (Major losses but still a successful operation)
- The siege of 9-9/77s8
- The Invasion of feythabolis leading to a complete victory in the south and 2 Titans blowing up (wich has never been achieved if im not mistaken.)
- The siege of FAT
Even before the Goonswarm phenomenon
Remember RA, beaten up from 3 fronts fighting ERA, The Five, Chimp, LV, -V-, Ghost and god knows how many more alliances.
Remember RA, Stranded in this Single Constellation in Cache, living in forcefields for weeks.
Remember them Annihilating almost the whole of ERA's Capital fleet in 7 minutes and a half.
I think Red Alliance Leadership knows exactly how it is to be in BoB's shoes. It would be dumb to do the same mistake as their forgotten ennemy did, Taste of your own medicine I would call it.

Since then only the odds have turned in the coalitions favor. I was there for the first attacks on Feythabolis and i would say that it was a major failure for the coalition. When BoB invaded 9-9 everybody really thought they would eat Ragoon alive you could feel it in the air. Orange species would refuel his Levy in curse 8 jumps from TCF's Capital system.
I'm a BoB fan as well but you have to be realistic and stop the flames... The coalition are the ones who have totally beaten the Odds and Band of brothers is feeling the consequences of it now (not that they don't enjoy it)
If Delve ever falls, the list of possibilities are numerous and I'm pretty sure Disbanding is not even on Sir Molle's list. Delve could become the new hell of guerilla Warfare, who knows... BoB could probly take and hold any Region they choose, they still have Friends you know... Spies and Maul's.
If i was a northern coalition pilot, i'd feel much safer with BoB winning the war against goon, at least it keeps them occupied and they wont think about invading our weakly defended regions.
Many powerful alliances are still afraid of BoB even if they are being bashed hard... a tip from a fan to another; don't love BoB pilots, they don't wan't you to love them.

TBH given the stupendous numerical advantage that the Coalition has at the moment it would be ludicrous to think that you can't dislodge them from Delve. I don't think it's possible to have more assets at your disposal than the Coalition have within the current constraints of the game. What beggars belief is what hard work you're making of it, and the scale of the losses for the coalition when you have every possible advantage on your side.

I hope not as i spent a considerable amount of time in delve with my main popping bobs ships long before goons or the other blobby alliances decided to turn up and my alliance left cos we wont work with blobbers.
Plus my alliance is set up perfectly for when bob loses all its stations and we can get into smaller battles with them based on skill not numbers.

It's obvious really. They couldn't stand the heat of the Delve kitchens.
Coalition are putting more and more pressure on bob and will win in time. Fewer bob are logging on, its only a matter of time.
Its sad to see other lesser groups riding coalition coattails. Only to bail out when its their turn to do some work.

These threads are really doing my head in, why do i keep reading them? Apart from anything else the coallition took qy6, the fact things haven't gone their way for a couple of weeks since then really doesn't deserve a thread. Maybe if we in the GBC took QY6 back there should be a thread like this ...until something like that happens the war is at best stalemated. Similarly the "all-time low in metagaming" doesn't really impress anyone who has been involved in this war for any length of time.
