MDW is opinion looking in from the outside and giving a rough summary to the 98% of uninvolved, and otherwise uninterested pilots, who aren't ever involved in alliance wars etc.
Its dramatic content for the masses who dont give a hoot about the 600 individual opinions that try to get represented in these 20 page threads (which they wont read anyway).
We just want folks to remember that before saying "Oh but they never aksed jom jones about the day he whacked gill in CFD and..." Sorry - the audience doesn't care... and, sorry, but you aren't the audience.
If you want your more "opinionated" picture portrayed then give out more info.
Alternatively feel free to write a 600 word summary of 8 months of SA v CA history including every detail and opinion of 3000+ pilots. It easy to do as every single person who complains about the news has shown by doing just that on every single occaision.
What your corps do is no more interesting to the 98% of other players than what my corp does is to you...we add dramatic content for those people, we dont do it for you guys.
Sorry but thats the bottom line - entertianment for the masses, if you really care a hoot about that start getting involved, otherwise, wel.. otherwise, quit whining about it so much.
Its a game, its supposed to be FUN your stories can be fun and interesting to others.. for about the 3 minutes it takes to read them. After that nobody cares. You've got to all learn to get involved in that 3 minutes or not.
Choice is yours.

Quote: Catch was a mistake for c4 cause it was to close to stain. You could not hold the stations, and u would not fight for them because everytime u did u lost ships. The only reason why you decided to take over paragon soul is because no one can really be bothered to come all the way down there to kick your asses out of the region

Ok, let me clear some things. I will start up with a quick history. i wont bother with anything that happened in the beginning of IF. Just what happened in the last 3 weeks.
XETIC/IF cancelled the NAP after SA pilots together with M0o and Evolution attacked us on 19-03-04. Those pilots were Grizwold (SWC) and Zeal Dragon (MASS).
I demanded an explanation and i was told that: "Zeal Dragon was drunk, he was told that the fleet (M0o and Evolution ) was attacking CA." (!)
We let SA know, that we cancelled the NAP as a warning adn that we were expecting some statement of SA whether they are still interested in peace or not. That was on March, 20th.
The next day, 31.¯3.04, SA forces (~15 BS) invade XETIC/IF territory. That was some kinda reply imo.
Some days later, 24-03-04, after some skirmishes SA and Xetic/IF agree on a ceasefire. We tried to contact SA several times, but got no reply form SA leadership.
Then ConÆMal (CoP), Claveman (CoP) and Greenhornet Everlasting Vendetta) attack D2EZ station in Omist on 28-¯3-04. They are also attacking XETIC/IF pilots. And two days later the 5 COL ships enter our space and attack our ships. On April 1st another fleet another force of SA enters our regions.
And now we are fighting back.
If i may add a comment on the COL incident. We have asked for the name of the XETIC/IF pilot that killed your ship. We got no reply. We used to pay compensation for ships destroyed as SA used to. We did never send a fleet to destroy your ships after you shot down one of our ships. We contacted Trigger, told him, who shot on us and he told us thta he'd deal with it. After this proved to be pointless (see above) we try another way.
Imo it is obvious that SA is not interested in a good relationship with its neighbours.

Grizwold was with us because he had applied to the corp and was flying with us for few days b4 he got in.
Zeal was abused by me after I gave him drugs and manipulated him and made him think he was really in a bathtub playing with ducks so he didnt know what was happening.
But it was fun, we killed I think it was 18 Xetic battleships that day.
So its basicly all Xetic¦s fault. Spawn of the Devil

I would like to know how/why XETIC got all involved though - that still intrigues me as they spent so long and so hard being anonymous.

Well so far the topic is just going back and forth just like most confrontations in this game. One holds out long enough for the other to get bored and leave and the other side call if victory.
Fact remain the Same as MY LADY stated earier, CCP play GOD is a bit much for this game and will prove to be the reason for lost of more memberships to this game.
Great if they take High End or out of Curse or Stain...so be it but stop trying to evolve the game (GODS), leave the game along. If ore is found in a location leave it there, this will work itself out.
I don't see the War over by far, I don't see nor understand How you are giving yourself VICTORY when you are still fighting and being blown up. The war Continue. I only hope C4 and CA believe their own Propaganda and fall into a careless act.
If this War is over, retract it, We have not gotten a message telling Us you have retracted and I know you didn't get a retraction from SA and you never will. So this War isn't over my friends. My advice to everyone stop believing Omega/C4 Propaganda which they don't do well at either. So if this war is over C4/CA/Xetic Bounce your happy azzes into Stain.

I rember cause i used to be in OC who was in SA in the old days and I also sepnt stints of time living in CA territory back then doing guirilla raids in my tempest I wasnt very successful but I tried. SO form the look of this OMEGA is the one to jump ship to the other side where the pickins are good. That don't say much for Omega, when it run dry again you will jump to another alliance as usal. C4 Members better watch there backs, You might be looking at an Omega Dagger.

You see us in O5Y. Well we sat there, we decided not to come assist ATUK as we know how scarce you guys are and any overwhelming force would never see a fight. So we know u wanted a fight, and ATUK wanted a fight - so why ruin it? :)
Hope u lot had fun, before you going on about not losing anything - you lost 3 battleships to ATUK as far as i know - which granted is second hand info - but i think it's quite hard mistakes 1 kill and 3 . Anyways - the northern fleet of stain is surrounded, the remenants of the southern fleet is either trapped in Estoria and Paragon Soul or moving back to empire. So i can only ever expect you to fight viciousley towards the end of your existance ;) Reverend Necrona |

Ok, look here: C4 (or OC rather) are BORING to fight. So we simple let you guys blob blob blob in o5y for some time, while we were moving around, killing.
I wasn't going to post any kill lists, as it's impossible to get 100% sure, but thanks to you I'll do it anyway. While you had your blob there, MASS/COL/IGS killed:
Grenoville [STV]- Megatron POPQV [-HC-] - Tempest r3po - Cruiser Luc Picard [ATUK] - Apoc Vaniz [ATUK] - Arma Fire Hawk [ATUK] - Scorpion Harkan Ramientes [AESC] - Scorpion Dober [AESC] - Apoc JimmySav [ATUK]- Scorpion Primer Xenius[-HC-]-Scorp Jedi[SNRA] - Typhoon defa [STK-S] - Thorax Cartiff[TFD] - Raven Cartiff[TFD] - Rifter Aimwarlock [-HC-] - battleship Morthar [3-I] - Raven? Shadow Knight [3-I] -
while we lost: 1 blackbird, 1 interceptor and 1 frigate.

Correct, not many fights with C4.
Some fights in V2-, maybe some in u-q.
But always, when it's fleet battle, you guys keep at very long range, and with at least half of your fleet being scorps. Neither being jammed all the time or wasting missiles from 80km range is my idea of interesting fights (and unlike others, you guys are experienced enough to avoid all our attempts to get in close). And the battles usually end with very small losses.
Remember one fight in V2- for example, you lossed a [BSC] (or if it was TTI) BS while we lost none. That's it. I made like 25 jumps to v2-, got to spend some missiles to kill one ship, spend some ammo on retaking a station, which you immediately took back once we had logged (everyone in our fleet was european, you've got quite a US wing).
You guys are very good at what you do and your strategies are working, but if I can choose between fighting you or fighting ATUK and Xetic, it's much more fun to fight the last two.

Our strategies revolve arond our amount of income. We rarely EVER make money (since we spend so much time looking for targets), thus we cannot really afford to lose ships. So we fight accordingly.
All the people in C9n that fought us know our tactic works very well and can inflict lots of losses on the enemy while not even risking anything (killing 5 SA in one battle, killing 4 in another, withing 5 minutes of eachother everytime.) -----------------------------------

The only time i managed to fight c4 in a large battle (20+ bs's) was when u were all in scorps/ravens/tempests and fought us at 100km+ range. the scorps were using ew/boosters/missiles, the ravens were missile spamming, and the tempests were using boosters with longrange ammo. NO ships were killed because no one could inflict the amount of damage required to kill a bs. I myself just sat there bored stiff activating my shield booster every now and again while 10 of your BS's fired on me.
That might be your way of fighting, but alot of the pvp guys in SA like to get stuck in and kill/get killed, therefor we chose to try to fight ca/xetic when the numbers are even(ish) instead of comming 30+ jumps to try to fight c4 which will only fight at 100km+ or when u have 99% chance of winning the battle

Quote: first of all i have to say u really are stupid to post such an announcment. When u were trying to take FAT-6P and the other station in catch you took heavy losses because that was alliance vs alliance wars. Your losses were to such an extent that all we ever saw was ex BS pilots in kestrels. Where is your ship kill/lost list from there???. -[MASS]Majin Buu
You are woefully mistaken. It was COL that requested a cease fire form us as they claimed they would leave the area and SA. We granted it and moved on to the next campaign in esoteria.
The kill list in the Catch Campaign was roughly 5-20 our favor. So I do not know what you're claiming as heavy losses.
The simple fact is that SA has never had the attention span it takes to combat us. I find it hilarious that they claim we only attack when we have numbers (which is utter nonsense as we often fight outnumbered) however they sit in DSS (formerly in C9N) and WILL NOT MOVE from their blob. If they do become outnumbered they safespot it. This is an easy fact for anyone that uses a map to confirm.
Victory For those that cannot read the victory was in the Esoteria campaign which only a fool would deny. We did not claim SA was completely defeated. That announcement will be reserved for a future time. Most likely not to distant future

And there you have the reason for many ppl not staying to "fight" you. I left after some days, because there isn't a chance to win such a "battle" unless you buy/find the safespot locations. Your tactics arent especially new, they work very nicely to stirr up trouble and inflict some losses (though naturally not severe losses unless the enemy stays and fights on your terms). The major part/effect of that whole strategy is just to out-bore the enemy, which is basically the same i did while fighting at the same un-even odds in curse.
Now all this is fine and well and can make a lot trouble - up to the point of making a region mostly unusable for mining/npc hunting.
But now we come to the second stage of your plan - actually using the region(s) yourself.
Many times in the past there where postings and claims from CA ppl who said they "pwn SA/stain" because they managed to move a group through it or hold a system for an hour and they claimed they "own" the region therefore. Fact is - i never saw them pull off a mining op in the region while we did that all the time - i regularly did hours a day of afk hauling while they claimed their "pwnage" of the whole region. Obviously i wouldnt survive that in curse for example.
To do some effective mining/hauling, you need a rather peaceful environment and you cant run to other systems/safespots every 30 minutes or it simply isnt worth it. Not to talk about losing a fully equipped mining/npc-hunting BS every once in a while.
Me and others eagerly wait(ed) till you try to make use of the region(s) and then whoever tries to mine or npc hunt in that region and who isnt SA, will find out that that simply doesnt work from a safespot. So i personally hope that a lot corps follow your invitation and try to mine down there - it will be lots of fun for SA and C4, less fun for the miners though

Star's Muppet: yes we hold the stations 23/7 at this point otherwise the post would not have been made. Occasionaly an off hour SA will take a station IF there is nobody around but it's rare and retaken quickly. We could do the same to most stations in Eve however that would not mean we control the FA stations for example.
Quote: And there you have the reason for many ppl not staying to "fight" you. I left after some days, because there isn't a chance to win such a "battle" unless you buy/find the safespot locations. -Sosona
Simply because you cannot win those battles does not mean it cannot be done. SA rarely fights even battles which is common practice by many. (there are a few SA warriors that will and I salute them). The major difference between SA and C4 is that we are freakin relentless. While SA fades off into the woodwork unwilling to pursue an elusive enemy the C4 has been in your face every day. We do not say "bah, why bother we cant catch them" or whatever the excuse of the day is. No, we hound you and move fast to catch you off gaurd and we do it very well. It's about persistance and determination, which SA lacks.
Quote: Many times in the past there where postings and claims from CA ppl who said they "pwn SA/stain" because they managed to move a group through it or hold a system for an hour and they claimed they "own" the region therefore. FYI, we hold mining ops and we spawn npc's as well both in the regions we have taken from SA and within Stain itself. The difference is that we dont do it for long before we're off hunting SA again.
The State of Stain The fact is that we have military dominance in everything south of DSS for the vast majority of time zones. If you think the DSS last blob stronghold will stand think again. The bell is tolling for the SA and it's deafening.

At least your way of saying "ha! out-bored you!" made me smile
Quote: I find it hilarious that they claim we only attack when we have numbers (which is utter nonsense as we often fight outnumbered) however they sit in DSS (formerly in C9N) and WILL NOT MOVE from their blob.
Please post screenshots. While we have seen a lot screenshots from C4 posted which all showed the contrary (as i pointed out in your first kill-list thread) and we know lot of unposted ones which also show the contrary, please point to the place where you keep the screenshots of fights where you fought outnumbered. Preferably with a scanner open which shows the distances of the different ships
Please note that i am not saying you never did it - but i certainly think you are regularly trying to give the impression this often happens, while it is a rather (very) "rare" thing. Beside if you mean using 7 scorps from 100km distance to fight 10 hostile ships resulting maybe in a cruiser loss but nothing more - mostly pointless to inflict losses that way.
Quote: If they do become outnumbered they safespot it.
I don't know many factions in this game who aren't doing that. Several OC/C4 member posts already said that it is a wise thing to do.
Quote: This is an easy fact for anyone that uses a map to confirm.
Please explain how that works?
AFAIK the map is inaccurate, not up-to-date, not showing full numbers beyond a certain limit, not showing which faction/corp/ally is in a system (unless you are a member of it and then it also was totally inaccurate and useless in the past), not indicating where in a system a corp/faction/ally is (safespotting outside the system).

Geez, this has really become a stupid thread. Interesting for the first page and a bit but since then there have been countless posts of "you are sadly mistaken", "totally incorrect", "well I was there and we destroyed all of you" - "no you didn't we destroyed you" etc etc etc. Might as well lock this thread now as neither side is going to agree and its rapidly going the way of every other CA/C4 v SA thread.....flame wars.
PS For what its worth I don't recognise anything like a C4 'victory' (if there can even be such a thing)
