Its really pathetic how former EV guys are bad mouthing SA. And for what? for their personal failures?

I hate to say it but when Stain had really good ore there were plenty of pilots/corps. willing to throw themselves in front of CA bullets to defend the region but only as long as it didn't interrupt their mining schedule.
Now that Stain Region is no longer producing vast amounts of ark/bis you can see the effects - corporations can't really be arsed to defend a region that won't pay for itself.
In my brief stint as a officer for [EVER] responsible for Empire actions, I came to realise that SA's tactical policy consisted of never moving north of DSS unless the entirety of Catch was clear. A group TS server was arranged and used for about 2 weeks but the only corps. who seemed to use it were [EVER] and [MASS] - that's why I always hated fighting alongside other SA corps. You had to communicate in gang chat and that makes life difficult.
Quite often you'd have 9 or 10 pilots in a system and you'd call for help and get 2 responses. Quite unlike Curse, I'm sure.
There were exceptions of course: Several [EVER] pilots (Abram and greenhornet in particular stood out as class acts), [COL], [MASS] ,[TYR] and [SWI] grouped together and worked away inside Curse but, without the backup from Stain, their efforts proved ultimately futile.
I think SA are better off letting C4 having what they claim and be done with it - it's nothing more than an empty trophy and I doubt C4 will consider it anything more than a pyrric victory in the coming months ahead.
That's partly the reason I left [EVER] and SA - don't like fighting with people I can't trust and communicate with fully especially in 50 vs 50 situations
I think SA need to look long and hard at what they are fighting for. I don't think it's about territory anymore - I think it's about the old dog showing his teeth and letting the snotty youngsters know there's still bite left in him.

Would have been nice if you actually prevented that there was a mess and leave them alone to fight before you have to claim to 'clean' up their mess. Some of them fought bravely, in which case none of them were MASS. __________________________

There are no tools currently in the game to declare a victory. If C4 starts trying to do any sort of regular mining ops in the area, they are going to get hit and hit hard.
I've seen all this before, back when CA was under siege right before Castor. SA, Evol and the few remaining CC fighters at the time swarmed all over the region hitting haulers and mining ops on a nightly basis. Of course, CA put a good face on it here on the boards and tried to deny that any such actions were taking place. However there are plenty of people around who were playing at the time who will tell you that it was hardly an ideal environment to conduct business. For C4 to believe they will be able to actually guarentee the safety of any of their so-called client corps is simply an invitation to every SA pilot in a Rifter or a Blackbird to make their lives hell.
The Duke is being presumptuous if he thinks his group of friends are "in control" of anything. With regards to Stain itself, the SA corps will never let their rents lapse on the 'full-service' stations in the area. As to the new stations in Estoria and Paragon, thanks to CCP, there are no static defenses. Any medium sized corp in the game could put together a dozen BS, or even four or five, waltz into Estoria and proudly stamp their name on C4's 'property'.
Is that is control? Is that 'victory'? I think not.
Having said that, I do salute most of the Omega pilots. Despite a few bad apples, they are at least more mature than the average EVE PvPer and I've had a lot of fun. Tyrell came into the SA after Omega's 'ejection' and I've never really felt like they were true enemies because I used to fight with those guys during my CC days. Too bad Omega can't let go of their hatred for EV and move on.
Anyway, I stayed with it as long as I could, but some real life responsibilities (new baby) and the idiotic ping-pong ball matches in C9N were just getting too silly for me; too much time wasted for something of questionable value that can't be properly defended because there is no game mechanic for it. On top of that, I've been fighting this war, in one form or another, since last August. Maybe when Shiva hits, and there is a way to protect your property (assuming the property itself is not bugged!), I'll jump back into the fight. Until then, it all seems kind of pointless to me. _____ CLS Civil Affairs Bureau

Well you claim your victory, versus civil...
We fought we are fighting and we will fight for our liberty, its a defeat for SA for me for my corp and our member its what do you want heard?? We dont send too many post on the forum, but dont mean we arent exist.
I dont come back on the last month, but we will come back... Cause i think you your alliance CA / C4 are despotique and only based on weapon without other goal, you are just the dark side in EVE.

We have mined, and we didn't get hit. Talk about what you know.
These regions are barren aside from stragglers atm, and most stations are being held 23/7 as Duke has stated.

Edited by: Abram on 05/04/2004 21:53:22 Dalman I honestly have NO idea what you are talking about. I left Ever right before the mobile disruptors came out so obviously this some bitter petty revenge post for calling your pathetic Alliance out on the carpet. It's this kind of finger pointing that lead to the demise of your alliance. Notice I didn't single anybody out but addressed the alliance as a whole. I worked hard for the Stain Alliance for MONTHS. I know it how it works and its failure to take responsabilty for itself and constantly blame others is its greatest weakness. It's dysfunctional culture lead to its end. Thank you for proving my point with all your stupid whining, crying posts.

From my point of view the regions south of Stain and west of Feythabolis (forget their names ) are controlled by C4 alliance.
Stain is putting up skirmish resistance, and are reclaiming stations now and then, but C4 is quick to take them back.
Although Stain forces have not been routed, victory befalls C4 in those regions. It cannot be doubted. That resistance still exist is a completely different matter.
Whether Stain was royally pwned or not I cannot say anything about, nor does it matter, nor should I. Fact remain Stain has lost those southern regions. It will be intresting to see what they do to try and take them back. --

Deepest apologies for my outburst, Abram.
Went back and checked my logs, and it wasn't you. It was Alpha[EVER]. And the fight was about the same time you joined evol. Sry for confusing your names, deleted my previous post.
