"This week we're going to take nol." - KIATolon / Suas of GoonSwarm @ 2008.2.17.
*ROLEPLAY MODE AKTIVATE*
The siege of NOL-M9 started on the 14th of Februari. A coalition fleet including 120 battleships started attacking our cyno jammer. We destroyed half of our their battleships but they were succesful in taking down our jammer. They brought in a capital fleet shortly after and started sieging and reinforcing our POS. All of our POS have been saved. The coalition dropped 9 large towers in the system. Yesterday, more than a week later, all hostile POS have been destroyed. We have regained control of the system.
We have won this battle, but the war is far from over. There will, undoubtedly, be another attack from the coalition on our home systems. And we will be here, waiting.
I would like to thank our allies who have supported us. Also the coalition for bringing the fight to us even though I don't like their motivation and some of their actions. Also the people in Band Of Brothers, I have not seen this participation and dedication in our alliance for a long time.
Statistics (ship kills / losses):
Battleship 554 / 170
Carrier 13 / 1
Dreadnought 10 / 0
Mothership 1 / 0
Titan 1 / 0
Not completely accurate as it misses a few kill / loss mails and allied losses. Although don't expect it to be more than 25% off at most. K/D is of course less relevant to territorial warfare, its about who (still) holds the system. I think its still interesting from a PvP combat perspective.

Hell hath no fury like a factioned out deathstar with a cynojammer mounted. Out of curiousity, do your BS kill numbers include the POS's kills as well? If so, they're as to be expected. If not, we need to stop giving you guys turkey shoots. Regardless, mad props for hanging on to NOL; I'm curious how the next few months are going to play out.

I do believe that the epic content provided by all parties concerned negates your belief regarding the experience. It has been a hoot, I for one love logging into a fleet battle whenever I feel like it.
We just wish those who can sling more content towards us would do so.

There's no heart lost, I just wanted this war wrapped up in 3 weeks, it might take a little longer (better firehawk?)
