New in Castor:
Tech Level 2 (TL2)
Tech Level 2 (TL2) introduces new possibilities into the world of EVE for manufacturing and researching. A variety of new TL2 blueprints are available for creating these new items. TL2 goods are generally more complex than their TL1 predecessors and, as such, contain different ingredients than minerals alone. The blueprints are available via Research Agents, another feature added in the T2 expansion.
TL2 blueprints may also have extra requirements for manufacturing, copying, or research. The requirements can be investigated by using the Info window. In order to manufacture using a TL2 blueprint, additional skills or tools may be necessary. Tools are items now needed to complete a manufacturing or research activity. These tools can be damaged when used in a research or manufacturing job and, subsequently, may need to be repaired from time to time. These component changes will also be reflected during recycling of T2 items.
An additional point of interest to manufacturers is that the minerals needed to build standard afterburners and micro-warp drives (MWD's) have been decreased. They are now cheaper than ever to create.
New In Exodus:
With the introduction of player owned Starbases, EVE will become a game of true territorial conquest, even more so than the introduction of Player Conquerable Stations.
So, you were pretty wrong there. Nice try though.

1) Its incredibly clear that you have no idea what this thread is about (even though you managed to keep the theme thanks to the nicely descriptive title).
2) No one has commmented on your idea
3) Considering you didnt get the rifter + civ shield booster joke you probably don't actually know much about the stereotypes surrounding the larger alliances

In fact, its soooooo Troll that you have managed to make a BoB member and a goon take the same side against you. epic

For an internerd claiming to have a fuzzy memory you sure got good digging tools.
Does it matter for anything else than an academic footnote?
POS' were generally initially used to mine moons, given static complexes and the ability to grind out insane amount of money via this and other broken features untold riches brought about POS spamming with mining as a possible side order.
Lose the spam by having any spammage draw massive NPC capital fleets with some loot and no bounties on them and you'll have some increased hardship asked for.
You see I'm a real boy, no string attached but plenty of ideas.

I'm no internerd as you apparently think that everyone must be, knowing and chuckling endlessly about the goons velator armada.
Do I need the approval of you or anyone on this thread to post my ideas? No, I've been posting great ideas for going on 5 years now and usually I tend to use the correct forum for it too and actually have an opening idea of my own to start off with.
If you 'get' the thread do tell so that we can be clear beyond the shadow of a doubt, since the OP wasn't all that crystal.

Right now things are too cheap in EVE in my opinion. People throw BS around like crazy. Even starting to see a LOT more faction BS in pvp not to mention the capital ships being thrown around.
Things are just very cheap right now. Used to be really hard to get enough to buy a BS and fit it etc. Now I can **** out a fully t2 fit BS in a heartbeat. ---

So if you don't have any comments as to why my ideas wouldn't work or be undesirable other than it being the wrong kind of hardship that would not cater to you you might as well hang a post on the thread stating 'only known quantities need reply' and add a list to it too of who gets in so we can all stand outside and gaze in in awe.
Otherwise I'm done here, I've posted two ideas yet the OP fail to deliver, so yeah, bad thread, misplaced thread.

Yep Eve is easier, making money is easier, and as a result we have more ships than ever before, and it is possible because of rigs and insurance for ANYONE to PVP in anything, and not want to leave Eve when they lose their ship.
Eve has never been better. Stop waving your 'omg its so ezmode, i'm liek ywnlol' in my face.
If its so easy why am I faced by such idiocy every day in eve?

Talking about your next employer, it's plain for everyone to see where most of the 'winners' will go once BoB falls.
Like I said you've yet to discredit any of my ideas other than with the always handy troll brush in a vague and sketchy thread to begin with.
Turn on the Rocky theme and start those victory laps I'm done here, nothing good will come out of a thread whose OP makes a generalized assumption yet no specific case for herself and cherrypick amongst the ideas presented.
I'll be in the correct forums if you do have an idea sometime. Nothing to do with it.

Actually, I just assumed that since you were making a bold statement about an Alliance stereotype (the part about no one taking the thread seriously since it was started by a member of BoB) that you would be aware of the other well known stereotypes.... an unreasonable assumption obviously...
Yep, that will help me get into.... oh did you mean BoB or Goons, because I was commenting on both, but since they're allies I'm just propping them both up in hopes of getting an invite from either, right?
I also made no comment about whether you should be able to post your ideas or not, you just made a claim that someone had commented on yours, my point was no one even noticed them.
My point was: You sir are a troll, you jumped into this thread for the soul purpose of saying that (here is a nice biasless abstract version): "Since you Player X are in Alliance Y, your views are irrelevant and/or stupid and not worth being taken seriously"
You aren't going to win a lot of arguments starting from that position.....
Also, for someone who has been "posting great ideas for 5 years" I've sure never heard of you.

Never seen you once on the correct forum either. I don't run with the in crowd.
It's pretty evident what I said, Roxanna opted to play the easy mode joining one of the powerhouses, if she wants it to be more hardcore then just join someone smaller. It's all up to herself really, I provided two ideas that would make life harder for the powerhouses yet as I suspected that's not the hardship she was looking for.
I sure hope that ties up all loose ends and people can get back to whatever constructive can come from this thread and stop replying to my posts or my forum fu senses will pick up on it and force me back here to defend myself, it...

Want to make eve hard again? Turn off the 0.0 isk faucets. No million isk belt rats, make expensive belts 100x rarer, and make moon mining spit up 1/10th the supplies.
Oh, I'm sorry, you meant "How do you make eve harder for everyone else except me?"
Sure, in that case keep nerfing mission runners, that's cool too.

While new to the game (just getting off the trial), it does seem too easy to make isk to me.
Starting from scratch and playing about every other day, I was still able to make around 30mil isk. Now most of this was sunk into skills, ships, and general newbie mistakes I'll admit. However after I get into the swing of things, making 9 digits a week doesn't sound out of the question at all.
How to fix it? Personally I'm in favor of scalable money sinks. For example: Insurance costing more and paying less the more you lose ships. Crazy I know, an insurance company keeping track of its customers and adjusting rates accordingly.
Another idea, non-modal repairable wear and tear on ships. Seems to make sense that after so much action your ship would need a tuneup (this could of course scale with time operated/cost of ship). Maybe even have ships start running slower or act funny if you don't maintain it properly. Personally I'd love to see a ship stall out and start smoking/on fire after an attempt at jumping to warp.
While these ideas might not make the game "harder" per say, I think they would make it so isk was more scarce. In turn there would be (hopefully) less capital ships, and more incentive to raid perpetual money sources like POS's.
PS: I'm a total newb so feel free to shoot these ideas down and/or make fun of me. |

I just looked you up and you have been playing the game ages. From what I hear from others in this thread then u are in a very rich alliance where u can get help when u need it. I also only have 1 account and I am a complete noob playing fairly casually.
From where I am standing the game is plenty hard. I see 4 year old characters around flying big ass expensive ships with assets laying around everywhere and hear rumours of ways of making billions of isk without much effort. I make a little money here and there and am generally comfortable. Do you want the upper reaches of the game to become completely unattractive and inaccesable?
For older characters to start complaining about the lost toughness in eve is completely hypocritical. PVP has always been easier for the older characters due to having more skillpoints than anyone else, industry has always been easy for older players since new markets and opportunities are easier to establish in. If people are able to function relatively easily and progression is generally pretty linear then whats the issue? This means that the game is functioning as it should. A Game.
In all seriousness, if the game seems easy and uninteresting to people then they have probably been playing to hard for too long with too many accounts with a big group of people in the same boat and have now run out of challenges. Look for a new one in another game tbh.
