I know lots of spots in the EVE universe, but UK I have never heard about. Unless you mean Ushra Khan have made a earthquake?
Maybe you would get better responce here though. Its for those who have other world experiences.

I have it on good authority that it wasn't an earthquake....just a bit of desynch... As the latter does not exist...then...there was no earthquake!

My secret sources have passed some disturbing information to me, the earthquake was in fact caused by a secret ISK farming device that was intended to tunnel under the EVE server cluster in london to attempt to hack the hardlines.
It appears they miscalculated and broke ground a significant distance away from their objectives.

Yes but not often and usually they are not powerful enough for people to even notice, so one that shakes your stuff in the house English people get a bit excited.

Only a 4.7, no big deal. I lived threw a lot of ones close (if not stronger) to that when I lived in California.

Its still a big deal here because we are not used to them, first thing through everyone's mind is stuff like bombs, car crashed into the house, poltergeists and all sorts of other things.

Further proof British people are pansies. I live like 10 miles from the San Andreas fault, 4.7 isnt even worth page 9 on the daily paper, let alone "OMG EARTHQUAKE ALERT".

We had a tiny one on the east coast about 15 years ago, it was pretty scary.
I have alot of family out in California, they say quakes are so common that it doesnt even make the news unless it's a big one.

Of course a 4.7 (now a 5.3 by the way) isn't news in a city BUILT TO WITHSTAND EARTHQUAKES.

Hey just because the Americans where dumb enough to build a city on one of the most active faults in the world that doesnt give you any rights to call British people out.

Ya cause we really knew about earthquakes and faults in the 19th century.

Plate Tectonics might not have been understood but only an American would say "Hey guys there are lots of earthquakes here, lets build a series of humongous cities and then build sky scrapers to!!"

Who remembers Northridge? It happened the first night I spent on my new self-designed and built loft bed, so I could put my desk underneath. I was off that thing faster than you can "holy****!" I knew it would hold me, but I wasn't so sure about it's earthquake integrity. It served me well until I sold it senior year.
My dormmate from Georgia said, "Wow, that was really loud!" To which I replied, "Well, it's a big planet after all."
On a related note, I had an RA years later who was in the bay area visiting when the big World Series quake hit. He was from Northridge, so he got the full blunt of both of them. I determined that staying near him wasn't a safe idea.
