MAYBE it had something to do with that you cancelled the NAP. So we went there and hit you hard.

Why did we canceled a long time NAP ? becouse some SA corps went in IF and fired uppon IF ships... why holding a NAP when one party is not respecting that same NAP ??

And also mayB talk 2 Trigger. Would be mayB also a good idea. He was aware of what happened for quite a few weeks.

That is not true.
It was the first battle I have been in with equal numbers we lost.
omg the first, ofcourse that would have been on the message boards.
We were not fitted for engagements, shows that they caught us offguard.
I have been in battles were everything was almost perfect. our intel was good, the battles with equal numbers lasted for about 2 minutes resulting in half of their battleships destroyed.
This one, was crap and totally unorganized compared to that. It has put us back on our feet.
but hey cant we loose too sometimes? ;)

You were caught offguard? How can that cancel their victory? And that such a loss would come on the forums, you shouldn't take bad. It just means that the respect/fear your combat abilities and find it remarkable when you are beaten at your own game.
Don't worry mate, I still respect/fear you, even if you lost.

Why? It's developing into a little flame war ;)
Edit: With the above comment, why am I writing a long paragraph which could do nothing but start flames? Everyone knows XIF are peace-loving cuddly little lambs, why should we break a NAP without reason? --

Edited by: Saladin on 05/04/2004 23:44:55 The bistot in Curse was depleted by the end of june. The roids that Akath referred to were baby roids.
I would like someone from SA to show me a single system in the Curse Region that has bistot or arkanor. A single one. We didn't have much choice in the region we settled. All the pirate nation regions had been taken, and Curse was settled by corporations who were fed up with other regional alliances. It was the worst spot, any minable amounts of rares were 15+ jumps away, you couldn't defend the area by camping a single system. It is like living in the town square, your enemies can approach from any and every direction. The Curse region is connected to at least 4 other regions.
As for SA, the selected the region connected only to 2 others. Insta jumps all the way down from empire (remember that folks?) and easy as hell to defend.
We at Curse thought large and expanded our claims, we worked hard to secure what is an insecurable area. You want to know the real reason SA got the shaft? They chose to live in the bottle while we lived in the town sqaure.
We claim 8 regions. You claim 3 and lost 2 (Estoria & Paragon Soul from what I gather from Duke). You want our 8 regions (about 1/4 of the 0.0 map) to be devoid of any rares while your single region gets it all? Is this what will satisfy you? You lost because you did not have our will to persevere, not because we have more money.
Edit: One more thing, when SA conquerable stations were captured, in several instances we found large amounts of rare ores in people's personal hangars. So obviously some of you guys have no problems mining --------------------------- (c) Copyright Saladin, 2005. Would like to add Ark doesn't regenerate, at least from our studies. So mine it till it's gone, it won't make a difference. If someone can tell me otherwise, would like to know, but if it does it must take a week to regenerate 1 unit of ark in a riod

Quite honestly, Stain got shafted at the outset of Castor, but then again, I dont care too much.
It hurts to have such a huge change happen over night, but we all have to adapt to a changing game world and even though things may look bleak now, that is in no way the case for the future. CCP needs to make all regions valuable in some respect, Stain lucked out at the begining, so things needed to be changed, in the future, Stain will have its pros and cons just like any other region.
Taken from the May 29th 2003 Devchat at EveGate . <Muaddid> Q: When will sentry gun and station and similar construction pods be introduced on the market? <Hellmar> we have various player owned entities already implemented. Sentry guns, power/shield generators, field repair mini-stations, mobile refineries. We are still working out the last tidbits of how they can be over taken, what is the penalty of having a sentry gun kill a n00b etc. and we have been a bit busy with plugging the holes that people have found.I would say that you'd start to see these items on the market in about 2-3 weeks, very expensive to begin with |

I Like Kalki's outlook on things, I agree, Stain may well have gotten a hit on the hard side from the nerf bat, but it's going too get balanced back when the time comes, and that's that. "Game experience may change during gameplay" remember these lines when you start whining, they have a disclaimer for this.
Have you for one second stopped too think of the pro's and con's of Stain, from what I gather, it has been turned into the prime npc hunting region. I think that you guys should try too think of a way too deal with that, your region got changed from prime mining too prime npc hunting.. what can be done. rent out "hunting tours" too outside corps, hunt the npc's yourselves, plenty cash in ramping npc bs spawns, and plenty cash in the loot they drop + the crap can be refined for minerals :D think about this for a second ------------
Noone is safe from my shots, I like shooting at stuff, If you don't want too get shot at, you better stay the hell out of my sight |

In the Forsaken Empire Alliance we had bistot 12 jumps from a station, since castor it became 16 jumps. "Life is hard". Empire you can mine all base in the same system with hardly any support, maybe some heavy drones. What some Cheese with your Whine?

Quote: Just one question...
Why do you think SA claimed stain, as the first regional alliance, instead of picking curse as a home???
Because you didn't wanna fight m0o which they started out in curse way back then an still traveled the region before an after SA was formed.
Member of the Curse Alliance before the Corruption Leader of The Black Plague.

Edited by: Jagang on 06/04/2004 22:53:58 Dear all!
You have been terribly misinformed! Stain has not been nerfed! Indeed!
It is well known throughout the galaxy the kernite of Stain is the most rare kernite in all of Eve. It is the only source of the most wanted 99% pure isogen!
Our most talented alchemists were enlightened with a special refining technique while staring endless hours at the kernite rocks, praying at the gods of Eve to mutate them back into our long lost bistot stones.
In time, we've learned that this Stain isogen is even more valuable than the tainted megacyte of Curse. It is very hard to come by these days, as I heard it spoken that it is heavily guarded by ruthless and mindless pirates, bend only on destroying any who dares even to look at their precious stones.
I have customers willing to pay 1M for each unit of this Stain isogen. Who dares say that Stain is worthless now?!

I hope u enjoyed .

Edited by: SlightlyMad on 06/04/2004 23:00:11 I think ALL arguments concerning the comparison about regions are right down stupid. If you don't like one place, go to another. If someone is protecting a great spot with larger guns than yours, tough luck.
Why should the areas be "equal"?
Just because you live there?
Just because you are mortal enemies and having a war that noone remembers how it started?
I hope many don't see this as a problem and that it is very few thinking its something to care about.
