Tends to ruin the whole thing. I'm trying to play the game so I can't be watching TV every second. Take away the sound and what's the point?
Oh well. It's free. We can only hope they eventually fix it properly -- (Sarcastic mission running veteran)

I would love a sound fix as well. And a bit of microphone control would be lovely. Sometimes the commentators are too far away and sometimes the studio-guys are peaking. It's annoying

If the mic isn't properly placed, no matter the encoding, you will never get good sound. And with a properly placed mic, you won't need to enhance the sound all that much, making the whole sound-processing a LOT easier.
I have a thing for mics and proper placement. Worked with radio for 12 years and have experienced a lot of bad placings. Though I haven't done any radio for a couple of years now, it still bugs me when I hear something like this, that can easily be fixed by MOVING THE DAMN MIC CLOSER TO THE MOUTH!!!

Sounded to me like they wernt useing a limiter and were driveing a DAC somewhere to zero dBFS, brb, cleaning blood out of ears... -

Yeah, limiter should always be used, unless you know what you're doing and want the clean sound. Could help here, though, but I still say better mic-control is needed.
CCP, next tourney, just drag me to Iceland and I'll make sure everyone got their mics right all the time
