Needless to say i didnt modify on it because that was specified to take out the "supposedly" undefeatable setup in the last tournament. Reguardless... anyone who thinks a thorax can take my rupture is mentally challenged. Thats just the way it is. The rupture is the most stacked ship in the game, with reguards to class. now since the question was brought up as to how is it better than thorax's, I suppose I can do some basic explaning :-D! Rupture fit = 4x 425mm II (running barrage ofc) This enables the autos to hit from 18km with max skills! 2x either HAML or HML (running EM missiles [I prefer HAML]) 10mn MWD II... that enables the rupture to go approx 2.5km/s 2x LSE II... which with the lows put you at about 9800 shield DC II thus you tank 2x gyro II (how would a thorax out damage it???) 2x PDS II run hammerhead II and 4x hobgoblin II Now why is that better than a thorax? 1) Your speed is good, plus you have very good agility and your cap is 100% endless so you can close on your targets quite easily 2) your range is significantly better than the range on a thorax 3) with reguards to tank, you have more dps than a thorax 4) nos/neut doesnt effect the ship at all 5) You effectively do rainbow damage (no easy way to tank against all 4 damage types) Those are the reasons for the rupture being better... guns take less pg and allow for more damage which is not dependant on cap... range tends to be very helpful too. Yes, I fly this exact setup, and im happy to take on anyone elses cruiser fitted, even faction cruisers! The setup has taken out BC's and id willingly put it up against any BC with exception to the way OP myrmi and the hurricane!

LOL, I should probably state here that I do all my math in my head, and despise EFT and Quickfit... anyone who knows me can tell you that much because of people like you... probably sit back and find a setup in EFT and then claim it can't do what I prove all the time it does! But, keep posting, since you have no structural support to your claims, ideas, and arguements, it just makes my posts look more hrmm... "presentable" to put it delicately!

In a contest where stealth bombers reign supreme I can't imagine I'd really want to take part in the first place ;p But as far as smashing someones ideas, lets be realistic people at one point in this game until someone made it work nano'd battleships were lawlsworthy. If ya got nothing better to do than try and be a Rank V Eve TV and Alliance Tournament Poster (yeah, I'm lookin at you guys who feel the need to be "that guy" in every post) perhaps you should log into game and be uber there, eh?

You seem to be hell bent on comparing your setup to 10 Raxes. Not everyone flies 10 Raxes. Funnily, though, there is a setup similar to yours that is pretty decent, although not top tier - if you send me 500 mil, I'll explain how to improve your setups :P

LOL either way the whole reason i posted the setup is so someone could TRY to prove me wrong. its good against a setup of stealth bombers too! The whole reason i made it, is because it can get in range quick while tanking to do it, is immune to nos teams, has 10 ships (which no team could perma jam) which all do great damage. Either way, nice try for the 500 mil LOL :-P
Meerlix Naughty 40 Triumvirate.	Posted - 2008.03.01 19:42:00 - [59] Well it is a pretty nice setup: 10x ruptures that's about 4550dps with hail and hml and then 50 ecm drones on top of that. With the ruptures doing 2km/s and 9000hp shield buffer this would be a fun match to watch indeed.
