So Bruce is not going against Bob as many thought before. It seems they have thier own plans now ...

BRUCE has been looking into building a powerbloc of its own to provide greater security to BRUCE and the area.
Black Core Alliance approached us today, regarding terms for surrender & withdrawal from Cloud Ring. In our initial discussions, we demanded their 4 unreinforced Domination POSes, which they agreed to.
As a little back history, originally Black Core Alliance was in discussions on being blue with BRUCE, but RECON offered them an outpost in Cloud Ring (where they live), so in the end they chose to be friendly with RECON rather than BRUCE who was in the next region over, a choice that BRUCE might have made in a similar situation.
Black Core Alliance [-BCA-] was never really our primary target, RECON is, but 9-4RP2 is a strategically important system that lets us box bisect the other two station systems and lock-in XZH, hence it being the first strike.
Upon further discussion we suggested to Black Core Alliance that they might want to join our 'western league' as it were, siding with us rather than Reckoning. After some discussion, -BCA- accepted and will be one of a few groups sponsored by BRUCE in Cloud Ring. We hope in time these groups will be able to grow and become strong, mutually supporting, equal allies.
-BCA- will still be turning over 4 fitted Domination POSes to us which will be put to good use by our FCs. -BCA- has been set to blue to BRUCE and vice versa. We now have docking rights in 9-4RP2 and RECON docking rights have been revoked. (Please don't park ships in the station though, just to be on safe side).
-BCA- requested that they not be asked to shoot RECON during this war, so as not to be put in the position of backstabbing their former allies. We agreed and this shows some signs of good character on their part. At a future date they will fully participate in defense against all hostiles (including RECON etc.).
Meanwhile, this lets us push further and harder against RECON directly, while picking up about 5B worth of POS towers, mods, etc.
Additionally, BRUCE down the road will be able to setup a jumpbridge to F7C-H0, providing a route to low-sec Placid, only a few jumps from high sec.

Bruce does not have pets. Also from what I've read by the few Bruces who ever post here (getting them to post in CAOD is like pulling teeth) they consider the word 'pet' to be a derogatory BoB invention. |

So let's see here. You've told people:
1- That BRUCE has a spy in its ranks. With almost 3000 members, that's a given.
2- That we don't intend to screw BCA over, and we're happy that they also want to act honorably.
3- That we intend to build a power bloc of safety and security in our own area, with our own agenda. (If this surprises you, read the COAD more.)
4- That the kind of folks we're looking for are reasonable, intelligent, and honest.
5- That while we have strong connections, we're independent and no one's flunkie.
 Thanks for the positive press release!
Just one thing, though: You'll note we never use the word "pets" and indeed, in that thread you're quoting from, the word pet is deliberately targeted as a "no-no." BRUCE doesn't believe in pets; it believes in equal members who work together out of a mutual friendship and respect. We believe that even calling someone a "pet" is in itself derogatory and rank-claiming. We've never been about that, past or present.
But hey - thanks for the recruiting blip. 
I can confirm that the above post is 100% true!

Only thing i can say is that recon has no problem shooting BCA, even if they don't shoot back. Oh, and don't worry, we have plans for down the road already in place.

Bruce, you talk about honor, yet we have some people signing in on our vent with names of our alts and on call if their name they exit, it's not kinda a meaning of an honorable war, isn't it)
BCA, well I do get their point, their system got invaded, some poses got shot out due to no stront in them, crap defence on cyno jammer pos and station full of bpos and such camped by hostiles, yes, this move towards bruce is the most loss minimizing move. But, they did it silently, didn't even speak with their allies about it. About bca not willing to attack recon, they've been trying to keep that will the whole evening yesterday, they've failed) I do believe that there are people in bca that are not happy about move to bruce and are not willing to fight against recon, I know couple of guys who really don't want to shoot me and the same can be said about me shooting them, but the fact that some people are means that they've not been told by the leadership otherwise. Leadership represent the alliance, so, overall bca really are to be called backstabbers as an alliance, and not because they have bruce blue, but because of how they did it. Bruces, good luck with them as allies)))
About pets, representing ranking in powerblock - ranking has to exist, otherwise it's an anarchy and the powerblock is vulnerable. So, meaning "pets" maybe is not in the past or present of bruce, but it's in the future)))

We allways honor our word. We agreed to not activly shoot recon out of respect, one they dont honor but neither the less.
As for the backstabbing comments alot of recon have been mentioning, final convos with recon ended as: "BCA have done well by us, you do whats best for your alliance". This was expressed by recon HC, (to all those recks who have nothing better to do). As soon as recon was informed that our alliances best interested was to join a western force, is when certain members of recon took this as a personal "backstabbing" movement, when bascially we are just looking out for out best interests.
Everything else is history and present.

You know what those exact words were said, we sort of understood your position. Were we dissapointed, YES, but only because people we treated as friends turned within hours of hard times.
Now the calling you worthless pieces of Sh*t and backstabbers came after BCA members started spying for Bruce and doing stuff OUTSIDE of the scope of the normal game. For example going as far as to use one of the admin accounts of the vent server we gave you in good faith (when we were friends fighting side by side so your leaders could help) and right before hostilities started in G8 , Kicked everybody out of a passworded channel (You were ****ed we did that in order to prevent spies) and banned all the admins.... Really crappy. It didn't hurt us in the end as we had the overall admin account to fix it relatively soon but still it really shows how far Bruce/BCA will go. I had respect, lots of respect for both parties, till this sh*t happened. Now i have none.
When that type of crap happens we say F-U

Thank God we dont fight on the forums, because this crap is unbearable. Metagaming - it happens. Its part of Eve, just like "blobbing", just like backstabbing.
The facts are simple BCA - in less than 24 hours after being seiged you handed over your faction POSs and control of a station we gave to you, and allowed our enemies to start docking there - one jump from our two stations. You are just really, really pathetic. BRUCE leaves you there because you are weak, and in no way a threat. I harbor no ill will towards BRUCE. In fact, we have never even spoken with BRUCE. Hard to be angry with someone for PVPing with us when that is what we enjoy. They see a chance to take space and they are taking it, albiet with the help of Pure., DMC, and now, BCA. The 250-350 people seiging a system in CR is just funny, but we are proud that BRUCE has learned to respect us enough to bring that many pilots to take us on.
The part where a BCA guy logs into our vent and starts kicking people made me laugh. Seriously. Its just funny. I enjoy every bit if this game, this situation, this backstabbing. Its what is great about EVE.
But know this, BCA, if you think for one second that you are going to have a "snowballs chance" of enjoying Cloud Ring in peace as a BRUCE pet, think again.  We'll be seeing you, mmkay?

I think it is time some issues here are addressed and corrected.
it was not till 48 hours into the siege that talks with bruce started.
At this time Recon had offered not support, sat in xzh and seeing how fast the pos's have come down must have been preparing there own evacuation without telling us.
Monk convo'd us 10 mins after the talks with bruce and before the agreement was in effect. He was understandably upset and angry with BCA but at the same time he didn't seem to care to listen to reason.
as stated already we did not wish to fire upon recon but within 10 mins of our discussion with monk one of our pilots was shot down in a hulk. and yet Still at the time of this post the standing order is not to hunt recon. I'm not sure considering this forum thread how long that order will stay in effect.
I'd also like to add that on the Recon vent server BCA was given 1 main chat channel and 2 gang channels, we asked for more channel or admin rights to make more but that never happened so where this story of a BCA member kicking people came from i'm not sure, to my knowledge no one in BCA had admin rights to the recon vent server.
I wish Recon all the best in there future plans and will end this post with one word of advice, do yerselves a favour and stop argueing amongst yourselfs and start to respect eachother.

Just for info - PURE is not "specifically" attacked Recon - the pilots over there are just raiding, like they have been doing with you guys for some 2 months"ish" now, most of my guys are elsewhere or should be LOL

I just wanna say I've had some fun fights out of this, despite how massively outnumbered we are. The battle we had a couple weeks ago in xzh was great, after the initial lag (was lagged for both sides), we killed something like 90 battleships in that fight, also took some losses including a carrier. I play this game for the pvp so props to BRUCE for bringing it. Like Monk said, I think it says something about RECON that the enemy brings 250man gangs to take our space. We've also had a couple of good engagements with DMC, although we won decisively on both occasions.
BCA, you are backstabbers and cowards, I've never seen anyone surrender so fast. You are fitting candidates as pets in the great western napfest. I look forward to blowing up your ships in the future.
As for the vent thing...meh **** happens. It's all part of the game, and also part of what's great about it. Disrupting your enemies communications can have a devastating effect in RL, and also in eve, although in this case it was poorly timed, and only caused a slight delay :)

Seems to me that BCA were RECON pets, but RECON mistook them for allies. Allies fight along side each other, pets look to their masters for protection.
BCA is whining that RECON didn't save them, when BCA and RECON both say it was only 1 or 2 days before BCA submitted to BRUCE and became their pet. That means that a POS didn't even come out of reinforce before BCA surrendered, right? Correct me on that if I am wrong. What would BCA want RECON to do, build a time machine to take the POSs out of reinforce for them? BCA had no intention of fighting, and surrendered before the fight began. Now BCA are on here complaining that RECON didnt save them. BCA and RECON are similar in size, right? Why is it RECON's job to save them? BCA should have developed a defense plan and asked RECON to help implement it. Instead, BCA takes the cowards way out by bending over for BRUCE and friends and embarks on a forum campaign to save face. The fact is that you never put up a fight at all, BCA, and never intended to.
Face it RECON, BCA were your pets - not allies. Now they have new masters who better understand what BCA are, and won't be disappointed by them as you were.

i remember BRUCE from when they where starting out in that system near joveianon (cant remember the name atm). good bunch of guys. seemed to be built on a similar mode as frontier co-operative that hung around there b4 them.
anyways its good to see an alliance like BRUCE doing so well. there are certainly a few 'bigger' alliances out in 0.0 that could learn a thing or two on how to act from BRUCE.

3 days before the attack we got the intel that Bruce planned to attack CR along with DMC and Pure. This was the intel. First sign was night to thursday european time when DMC jumped into F7C and attacked our jumpbridge. We manned the guns and pretty soon chased them away. They lost 10 battleships, and we lost some tacklers.
We had 1 more skirmish against them in F7C and quickly dispatched them at that fight as well. Thats pretty much what we have seen from DMC.
Bruce invaded 9-4 later thursday night. BCA were helpless against this attack, which noone blames them for. Their cynojammer were, however, poorly fit, and they had 2 pos's without stront in them. Needless to say these were destroyed pretty fast. After the cynojammer was gone Bruce jumped in 60'ish caps.
Meanwhile Recon leadership was working on some solutions. We talked with BCA lead, where they informed us they were probably gonna surrender. Cant really blame them for that either. We told them to hold on for a few hours more until we got an answer from another possible part in this conflict. BCA gave us the impression that they were surrendering to get their stuff out. However, they made a deal with bruce so they could keep 9-4. This deal included BCA giving Bruce some Shadow (or sansha) towers, pluss giving bruce insta access to 9-4 station. This happened before the time limit we asked for them to keep. Then BCA turned totally around, put Bruce on blue, and us on red so they could continue to live in CR. Then they came up with an excuse about not aggroing Recon etc etc. I want to point out very clearly that WE gave BCA 9-4 to begin with. We invited them to CLoud RIng cause we werent keen on holding 3 stations.
With 9-4 down it became inevitable that we would not be able to defend G8 and XZH at the same time. So we quickly secured all assets we have, including capital ships. Anything else wouldnt make sence. The numbers we are facing is just too big (no offence to Bruce, they do what they have to do). G8 became Bruce's next target and they took down jammer and jumped caps in. We repped some pos mods, but it was clr that we couldnt keep G8 in the long run.
Yesterday Bruce attacked F7C, took down cynojammer and jumped in caps. I dont know how this ended, as it was right after most EU players had gone to bed (or should have ^^). Thats when Bruce usually attack us. I was locked out of the system (they attacked jb) so i could only listen on ventrilo at that time.
We bear no ill feelings towards Bruce. They are a worthy opponent, but they outnumber us 5:1/6:1 in the majority of engagements. We respect this. DMC and BCA, well im not gonna express my feelings towards them here.
We will do our best to keep a last stance in CR, but Bruce outnumber us by far both in pilots and Capital strenght.
Pure claims they are not part of this conflict, but they have had many roaming gangs in our space and do have pilots in bruce gangs on many/most occassions.
As a reply to BCA lead. 48 hours is simply not true. As a matter of fact its an outright lie. I was there when u informed us, and we asked u to hold out for 12 more hours. 6 hours later u surrendered to Bruce and made the deal. Try to spin it as much as u like to justify it.
This is not a whine. We live with our decisions and actions. We will do our best to make you bleed. This is eve. Nothing comes easy and rest assured that it will not for you either, wether we fall or not. Thats it from me. I ask for Recon members to not respond any more to this thread.
