This word's origin is Islamic. Islam (last time I looked) is a religion - a system of beliefs and ideas about the world, the creator of the universe, how we should live, etc, etc.
A "race" would denote a distinct population of people similar in skin colour and/or other physical attributes and often concentrated in, or ancestrally 'from' a particular geographical area.
So to sum up for the slow-witted:
Religion: collection of ideas and beliefs
Race: physical attributes and geographic heritage of people
You could argue of course that Islam does have a geographic heritage - it was born of a particular place and time. However, by it's own founding texts and ambitions of its proponents, it actively transcends this by spreading far and wide.
Please educate us Karlemgne on how "JihadSwarm" - a term which is clearly a parody of a religious word - is racist.

This thread makes me think about what it would be like to be 40 years old and still living in the basement of one's parent's home. Seriously, I think someone needs to lighten up, if not to make an attempt at being original. This topic makes me find the colonics infomercial currently infecting my television interesting.

God, I hate organized religion and the fanatics it breeds. 
Certainly seems like CCP could do something here. Let's see......
1)Stop paying out insurance for ships lost in suicide ganks.
2)Beef up Concord so they can actually do something.
3)Move ice back to 0.8 and....oh yeah...see #2.
4)Disband a group that has flat out said they want to break the game. I'm sure there's something in the EULA about not causing harm to CCP and breaking the game certainly would.
Also......isn't reference to real life religions, politics, etc. against the forum rules, user agreement and all that? I can't help but think there are some Moslems out there who might be a little ticked about the overt references here from some guy claiming he's a prophet. Kidding or not some of the religions have a very poor sense of humor about this sort of thing.

It's not just racist. It's an affront to every rational thinking being. It tells tales about believers, their idols and their mental state, that they don't seem to understand this without explanation.

Goonswarm are attention seekers who's aim in life is to upset other players and then laugh among themselves at the reactions they provoke.
The vast majority of EvE players laugh at them rather than with them.
Translation for Goons: "Nobody Cares" 
In the event that they upset enough people (which is of course their aim), the devs have the following provision in place:

..I wish I could stay away from flamable topics like this. Sorry in advance for repeating myself, but last time I tried replying diplomatically and state the following; the whole thread disappeared, which was probably for the best considering its original post. Anyway.
The term "race" may cover cultures, religious belief, nationality and skintone.
Jihad is as stated before, just another word for struggle, and a holy jihad is exactly the same as a crusade. None gets in trouble for saying they're on a crusade, so suck it up and let the clowns be on their jihad. It's just a word. Any bad associations to it are from personal frames of references and not inherent definition. The more often clowns like this use words like that, the less power those words have, which is probably for the better if you felt it had any power in the first place.
