Nothing will protect you from an alpha strike, but I assure you that it'll take quite the number of extra cruisers to kill you before they all die if you have a pair of basilisks remote repping your tanked hulk.
Also, try taking your own advice: read what I said.
I would assume that if you have alts doing the remote repping, that they're always doing it. They're already locked, and they're already remote repping.
They will literally need to alpha strike you in order to kill you. Literally.

Why wouldn't the gank squad just throw off an ECM burst or jam the logistics then? Its not like they are scared of concord anyway.

How about watching local  adjust their standing so you right away notice if they jump into local..
CTRL-Q ,or you can try to warp to a station but i would log .
Like said above the most of the time warp in whit bs well unless your using small guii you can't tank a bs long ....
Also the more atention they will get the longer they wil go on

go to belt where you want to mine and shoot somone else wreck with a noob ship to get your noobship concorded. wait 15mins. then go get hulk and mine with cocrd sitting next to you. Unless things have changed this eliminates concord reponse time.

Though it's not entirely in the spirit of the thread I'd say dock the hulk and fly a covetor until this fad passes. That way if you do get suicide ganked you're only loosing your strip miners.

If you must mine while Goonswarm continues their rampage, fit a DCU II, do not fit expanders (they reduce your hull HP), consider a Reinforced Bulkhead. Midslots fit an antiblaster tank, but realize that you're mainly relying on your HP buffer to survive suicide attacks. Keep away from heavily traveled systems so a goon ganksquad will show up in local better. Make sure you have Mechanic trained to IV or V, and work on all of your skills that increase X HP by 5% per level (Mechanic, Shield Management, Hull Upgrades). Core Defense Field Extenders are expensive, but admittedly cheaper than a new Hulk. Anti-Kinetic and Anti-Thermal rigs are another cheaper option.
The DCU II is the most important part of this. 60% hull resistances go a very long way.

I was about to say the same thing. Flying a covetor is the best counter.
