ATF thanks for hosting our drakes of doom ops, always enjoyed the fun PVP. The game isn't played on the forums, so that's about it. We are all off to do other things now. I remember you when you were actually a merc force, when you fought well and really put the fear into people. I remember when you used to hotdrop motherships faster than a drunk prom date. Then you took CR (from a dying FREGE) and somehow you morphed into a defensive, petty bunch of disorganized ratters. I hope leaving that place brings better things. You guys are a classy bunch of pilots. Except for the ones who aren't.
Oregon sinful The Ankou The Reckoning.	Posted - 2008.03.06 07:02:00 - [4] Kinda hard to see it go tbh, we started out as three corps who loved to do nothing but pvp in curse. We owned that area and loved it the same. CR practically fell into our laps and it was a good run while we were there but in the end, allies abandoned us and the naps went against us, the space wasn't all that good and the pvp was much too blobby. Not much a small ally can do against 10,000 players but slow the inevitable. In the end Recon will still stay together and go back to our roots. The same players that held curse are going to band together and take on the future and what it brings. No more carebears, no more politics, no more runing 49 pos's for the dedicated few that made this all happen. I look forward to what the future brings us, and to the neutrals it will bring. Old allies will change to neutral and old enemies will turn to blue. But what is eve without evolution, diversity, heartbreak and adrenaline. I'm proud to have flown under the Recon banner and time will not change that. Good bye RECON, hello future. POST WITH YOUR MAIN OR STFU - No respect for alts.

Took down my shield tanked ratting pest literally in like 20 seconds. You guys handed me my first bs loss in this game. Sad to see a nice smallish solid group of guys go.. Hope thered be some fundamental change in this game so fightings wouldn't involve a 3000-4000 player coalition beating a 800 man alliance. But then thats probably unlikely. Bruce did come with 200 gang men but they have no reenforcement at all- if any of bruce died, they need to go 15 jumps away (that is to say you not letting them take down the cylnos and be able to jump capital feet in). You can believe what you want, but lets face it, theres no way RECON can fight of BRUCE who can field several hundred pilots, and then with DMC and Pure thrown in too. RECON is/was a small force who was not nap'd with all their neighbors, the only blues we had close were BCA, but we know what happened there... So no, we could have fielded 200 that night, but BRUCE will always bring the bigger gang, and we cant hold them off through all timezones. Too all RECON pilots, it was fun. To BRUCE, great fights, you seem like a good bunch of pilots, good luck with cloud ring. DMC, i really have no idea what you are doing here tbh, but you made up the killmails, good job. Oh and BCA, well.. see you around.

Yeah 15 whole ones!.. or they could just set their clones to 9-4 which they have access to, last i checked that was one whole jump from XZH... but yeah whatever they prefer.

As we merge into a single coherant fighting force we can only get stronger. Future enemies beware. Cloud ring was boring and I spent more time fueling POSes and doing logistics than i actually spent having fun. I got breaks with Bruce/Pure/Wreck/ATF comign in and the occasional Tri nanofag gang. Those provided some fun times, but in the end I found myself losing interest. Holding space (esp sucky space) blows monkey chunks. I, along with a bunch of corp/alliance mates felt the same. When Bruce moved on us, we just sighed with relief, excited with what the future holds. Thanks Bruce for coming and relieving us. In the end we can just look back and think, been there/done that, never going to do it again. Most of all i think I will miss DRAKES OF DOOM with ATF. Though as one of the organizers of said ops, Im sure I can talk people into visiting you once more. Wherever we move, whomever we fight will now get the pleasure of Drakes of doom. Hope they laugh with us and enjoy it like you did ATF. BRUCE brought it, and I give them props for that. It's encouraging to see the number of responses giving us props for the fights we brought. And we'll continue to bring those fights to those who we seek out and those who seek us out. But really is it necessary to flame us with an alt? In my time in CR I've experienced some great pvp, even if some fights were laggy blobs of pilots pounding f1-f8, I've stolen a carrier from a hostile pos by guessing the pos password (oh lord that one was amazing) I've gotten my carebear on learning how to run low sec plexes solo (not recommended btw lol) And I've flown along side the best and against some of the best pvp pilots in eve. I see the future bringing great things to this group of people. But please, keep the flames aside, and if you do flame... POST WITH YOUR MAIN OR SHUT THE **** UP! OS POST WITH YOUR MAIN OR STFU - No respect for alts.

As long XZH has had this 10/10 complex it was worth to defend it. Since that is gone, Cloud Ring isn't it worth. So guys don't worry, you lost nothing, and do not define yourself over the map.

Ok, sorry for off topic, but this needs disputing. Reckoning did not attack CR at all. No. They moved in after YW had moved out. The only componenets who attacked you were Mostly Harmless, Triumvirate, Destiny and Praesidium Libertidas. Mostly Harmless and Triumvirate worked together once, and that was in attacking XZH...one time. After that failed attack MH were not involved again, apart from for attacking P-2, which was completely un-related to Tri's attack on XZH. Praesidium only had ONE corp who helped out with more than 1/2 people. That was EXTAS. They were there in TRI's weak TZ. Destiny were hangers on to Mostly Harmless, and did squat all of their own. I think the main reason you think you got blobbed, was because of the amount of actual fighters on either side. We had pvpers, you had carebears who ran away from the frontline. It would have helped in your own defence if you had formed up more than 2 fleets...(both of which were massacred). While props go out to Beasts of Burden for being the only corp to fight repeatedly in small gangs, I don't remember STV doing anything And yes, I was there, yes I was one of the Tri FC's, and yes I am saying you know nothing about what happened if you believe that. You are not the real WildCard, he would not have such a blurred memory of XZH history. Here's a brief timeline of the past 2 years (probably incomplete): - in early 2006, Goonswarm was holding XZH and defending it against D2 + friends - when they finally lost it, D2 gave CR to RISE, who lived there until YW backstabbed them and took it with the help of 0utbreak (September/October 2006) - YW got kicked out by TRI + FREGE in late 2007, so they basically held for 1 year, not 4. - RECON moved in after FREGE already had sov of XZH and kept it until recently when BRUCE moved in What happened to the real WildCard? Sad to see him go ...

Your memory fails you Wildcard, like your pilots did. Your FC's lacked conviction in their decisions, and confidence in them quckly diminished. The catalyst for the war between Triumvirate and YouWhat was accepting over 1000 Fallen Soul pilots which were war targets for Triumvirate at that time. YW had never been a good ally, and we no longer trusted their intentions. Accepting those pilots caused havoc for you internally, which im sure Karunel will agree with me on. Accepting that many carebears diluted your ability to coordinate an effective defence. It wasnt long before the rats (Krall) abandoned the sinking ship. XZH was a tough nut to *****, but by that time YW were being kept alive by a Domination tower.
