I love how you are including certain RP elements of the game (Jericho et al.) in the story.
Again, the style is what catches my eye.
Quote: This great skin of tungsten was not entirely a solid mass; rather, it was criss-crossed and channelled like the circulatory system of a great living beast - through these conduits and capillaries flowed trillions upon trillions of self-assembling armour regeneration nanites, the metal-breathing robotic life-blood of all such armoured goliaths.
That's just beautiful.
And...
Quote: HamishÆs shadowed face lit up with the glimmer of teeth. ôIÆd like your help, Istvaan. IÆd like your help in a heist.ö

I too would like to add my voice to the choir here, this is a fantastic piece of work ... Istvaan, you need to get together with one of the really good EVE Video makers and turn this story into a movie, I would love to see the battle between the guiding hand and the jericho faction at wirashoda

I found this a day or two ago:
ôThatÆs the bad news. The bulk of our major space-borne assets are diverted to the Medusa campaign and the covert op."
Is that what I think it is? ----------------------------

Did Hamish ever get his Mamet 500? The trade supposedly took place, but I didn't hear much.

That's because HG is such a lazy****. All he does in his free time is gorge himself with KFC buckets and download goat **** while playing Matrix Online.
I personally will be suscribing to Matrix Online so I can set his life straight back on Eve. I will involve filling his email, eve-mail, and matrix-mail with shouts and screams to get back to writing the saga. Then I will track the sucka ingame, and follow him around shouting about when the next bit of fiction will be done.
If that doesn't work, I will parachute over his house in Canada, and convince him to start writing with the display of wicked looking knives, after we go out and get plastered of course.
Yeah, if HG's fiction is like a luxuary yacht of the most snobby and filthy rich variety, and HG himself is the captain of the ship, then I'm the first mate that's trying to wake the**** up to keep us from running into big icebergs. And you know if HG's yacht of RP Fiction****getry connects with an iceberg, many species of aquatic animal life, fish and mammal, will most certainly die from ruptures of convienently placed oil tanks on that yacht.
I'm doing the best I can to get him to keep going.
This is all you can ask for.
In the meantime, have a cigar. ____________________________________

I only ask becaue I am amused at the ocassional Star Fraction comment about "give them to us" that still surfaces now and then.
If the slaves were given to Hamish, it should be moot point.

May I ask a question regarding Vuylsteke? (Not sure if its been asked again)
Why is she always reffered to as "Sir" instead of "Mam"

Edited by: Andre Ricard on 29/05/2005 05:30:35 From what I understand, the author has been pulled away by The Matrix Online and deserves to be shot for such. Shot in the HEAD. Or elsewhere. Possibly.
I'm also surprised to hear the GHSC being so quiet on the whole Hnolku issue, I thought they'd LOVE to get their hands into that pie.
BTW, hi HG et al. I've got a PDF copy of Heaven saved on the hard drive, and I'm kicking myself in the head for not saving the rest of it.

Because "ma'am" doesn't sound very militaristic, does it? I don't know about any native-english armies that allow "ma'am" in case the superior officer is female. It's all "sir" this and "sir" that.

I do believe that sir or ma'am IRL varies from nation to nation, and indeed in different branches of service, depending on tradition. It's entirely feasible that Minmatar military tradition stipulates calling all military officers their equivalent of "sir" (remember they're not speaking English, either, but rather Matari.)
Besides, Vuylsteke stikes me as a "sir" kind of officer, regardless of normal convention. --- Justice is the only thing I have left. The lives of thousands be damned. |

Well US military branches all use "mam" when the officer is female I believe...Perhaps they should have thought of a better word come to think of it...
