1. Sokhar
... wait scratch that

1. Sastul (not his ingame name I think)/Head of Xanadu (for all intents and purposes it seems Xanadu is every bit the retail power that techell used to be, and far far more politically significant)

2. SirMolle - Evol is hands down the best set of power gamers in EVE

3. XirtamVOTF (if Lallante defers to him, then apparently he supercedes her in CA clout)

4. Morkt Drakt- He (and others)really have CCP's ear and he is also very powerful in the market.

5. Lord Zap - Begrudgingly. He controls one of the best PVP corps in the game and undoubtedly the most feared. I do not, however, think that you can really compare the power of pirate organizations to entrenched retail powers, alliance powers who really (as much as is possible) control markets and regions. Both groups have real power, they are just quite different types of power.

6. Darth Solo- Politically important, heads an impressive corporation, and hell we need an anti-pirate on this list.

7. Tank CEO- His rankng is more of a historical one than anything else. I think his secure space pirating and other various inflammatory actions have done alot to shape the current outlook of CCP in regards to "exploits", especially those which involve killing people you should not theoretically be able to.

8. Datselvu (sic)- He has slipped of late alot in my mind but he was once indisputably the retail king of EVE.

9. Tzadkiel- Some of you may think I am nuts for putting him on this list. Simply put, however, he is the person most in control of the Meta-Mod market. This does mean that he may become decreasingly significant as t2 is released, but his recent move to produce interceptors should keep him in the picture. Everyone, from Lord Zap to Sokhar buys mods from this guy.

10.Duke Droklar- He should probably be higher on the list. I am not a big fan of his but you cannot deny that he runs a succesful, efficient corporation and has real political and military clout. To a certain extent I really learned about fleet combat for the first time in a few short joint operations with Omega in Curse. It was enlightening ... until he decided as I was a person who killed people in 0.0 he wouldn't fight with me, and then subsequently joined the "pirates" he was fighting in CA. (I appreciate the political expediency of his decision, I just dislike the reversal of a moral stand; And no Reclaimer I never made one so I am not hypocritical in the same sense).

Jade, you're a Pseudo-Intellectual Joke. I am Strongly regretting putting you in my list.

I challange you to change the way I play Eve. Because in a game, surely thats the only and ultimate expression of power, changing the way another person plays.

If you succeed I will accept that the qualities you describe are what makes a person powerful in EVE, and bow to your Power. (not talking RL here, Eve is a game and the same rules certainly don't always apply)

This is the reason for each and every person on my list (excluding yourself). If I had never visited the forums I wouldn't even know of your existance. Nor would ANYONE outside of your corp and the two dozen people who see you day to day. People Like Zap, Molle, Xirtam, Duke, they make a name for themselves, and carve out their powerbase through Ingame actions.

Go-on, effect the way I play my game.

Already done it. I posted an opinion that you considered significant enough to reply too. Forums are part of Eve. This is a game of public relations and image-building as much as space ship combat. Hence the challenge is already met.

While I personally have only recently resumed playing Eve, and am too pre-occupied with boosting my character to acclimate myself to the political landscape and have the awareness to fill ten entries, I can attest to one individual whose in-game character would probably have the number one spot for sheer PVP destructiveness: Homo Erectus. From what I have seen of his firepower, it is enough to poke holes in worlds.

Hi, I am new to eve (from ENB. EVE is SO much better!) and I cant believe all political intrigue and subplots going on here. AND it actually looks like it affects things in-game! I am impressed.

I am looking for some butts to kiss, so I was wondering who are the TOP 10 most powerfull people in EVE? I am talking about people with clout. Leaders that people follow and respect. Not always the best guns or richest. The power brokers of eve.......

Yup, all the politics and arguments, all the *****ing on the forums has as much impact on the game as playing the game itself. As there is no content as such... This is what the community have come up with all this that you read about, all that you see in the game, all the conflict, alliances, wars, murders, assasinations and shady business deals. Are all construct of the community. Thats why Eve IMO is the Greatest MMOG..

The most Infuencial and powerful people in the game/Those who shape its daily outcome would be:

Alliance Leaders: Curse Alliance most notibly as they are the largest most powerful entity currently in Eve.

Leaders of the most powerful PVP corps, as these guys, at any given time can give the order to go raise hell within an alliance or any area of space.... These are leader of corps such as m0o corp, Evolution, Rus, Space Invaders,Mass, Zombies (I would like to say Jokers as they impress me but I think they are too small to caus a big problem to an entity such as an alliance, no offense guys if your readingWink)

Leaders of the Top Manufacturing and Undustry Corps Such as Techell, Xanadu, Rona, Arcane Technologies(Although not quite as well known for manufacturing as they are for alliance pvp, they have a very large playerbase and have a very impressive turnover).

And of course People like Jade Constantine whos ability with words has more than once changed the shape of the Eve universe (NVA Etc) Also creating such Controversy and argument keeps us all entertained. Keep it upWink This is what I mean when the forums play as big a part in Eve as Eve itself.

These people IMO are those who could change the way you experience Eve at any given time. Especially if you exist in 0.0 space

These are my opinions only and are of course open to debate and criticismWink

And here is mine:

(in no particular order)

Robeyone (heads eveÆs only real mega corporation with ambitions to match)
Darth Solo (headÆs up a serious coalition of pvp-centric anti pirates with the guts and chutzpah to fight anyone)
Lord Zap (heads up mOo corp and has a lot of very skilled and senior players in his allegiance)
Molle (heads up Evolution and commands a very solid and professional corporate outfit)
Duke Droklar (heads C4 alliance which is pretty much the political wing of the CA and presents a structure that potentially can transcend the worst aspects of the CA player base)
Morkt Drak (ancient news guru, agent maestro and fabulously rich caldari business man. Can fund entire regional alliance defence budgets from his own pocket)
Istvaan Shogaatsu (a very clever and ambitious man who promotes a side of eve that many retail players have never seen before)
TRIGGER (grand player in the Stain alliance, and very respected in political circles)
Xanadu CEO (why the hell donÆt we know his name!) heads up an industrial and military corporate of impressive scope and professionalism.
Hardin (represents an alliance of Amarri corporations and interests that lead the way on nationalist roleplaying and in-game power in Eve)

With the exception of Duke Droklar, I have negotiated and communicated with all of these guys in the past and one thing that makes ôa powerful playerö is the ability to marry wit with capability and in-game presence. These people understand that the game is played on many levels and unless you have representation on all of them you risk losing out to some aspects of the great game of statescraft.

Its not enough to have 40 battleships to be "powerful" ... you must be persuasive, diplomatic, cunning, controlled, decisive and (to an extent) trustworthy.

If you are a proven thief or liar or betrayer of allies then your power is weakened because your ability to convince and inspire is damaged.

In eve its not possible to silence detractors and hide from the ttuth. Your reputation will stay with you forever.

Hence if you have designs on fame and fortune and significance in the Eve star cluster then your word is as important as the strength of your fleet. Many of the guys I just named have made mistakes and errors in the past but they have had the forsight and wisdom to put things right and rise above setbacks and disasters. Endurance and enduring reputation is the winning hand in the game of thrones.

I think something to consider byond this is the idea of consrvation of force. In other words being able to acomplish a lot with a little. I realize i am bias but i have seen a lot in my eve time and id argue that c4 is the best at this. duke droklar by creating this force and by making individuals across the globe work as an effective team makes him number one in my book.
