Hi, I am new to eve (from ENB. EVE is SO much better!) and I cant believe all political intrigue and subplots going on here. AND it actually looks like it affects things in-game! I am impressed.

I am looking for some butts to kiss, so I was wondering who are the TOP 10 most powerfull people in EVE? I am talking about people with clout. Leaders that people follow and respect. Not always the best guns or richest. The power brokers of eve.......

I don't think that anyone actually knows enough people in game to make a complete list. If you want the 10 best forum warriors I'm sure you'll get some suggestions here though.

Also, next person to make a top 10 list thread gets a war dec. I'm sick of it.

The most powerful people are the leaders of the big alliances, and then the leaders of the biggest PvP/pirate corps, along with the leaders of the biggest production corps. I don't know all their names, but that would be my list.

I dunno who the "Top Ten" are. If you are a forum fanatic like I am then your opinion differs from that of a diehard pvp'r out in 0.0 or a miner who just sticks to a few systems and goes about his/her business. The ones that make an impact are really those that are top 10 IMO good or bad. In my list (some of these might be gone as well) these people moved and shook the world of EVE with words, actions or both. I respect them all in some way shape of form. BTW These are in no particular order and entirely my opinion.

1. TankCEO - Notorious pirate "griefer" who made a name for himself IMO w/ the -10.0 sec rating gankfest.

2. Lord Zap - Another Pirate who had his face pasted for a long damn time on the wanted posters of eve with the highest bounty.

3. Ragnar - Former TTi CEO, The politics and chaos surrounding him and TTi plus their "allied" corps in the Venal Alliance "civil" war are what helped shaped the politics of many corps to this day.

4. Jade Constantine - Former NVA (New Venal Alliance) spokesperson. Jade w/ quick wit and tongue has almost singlehandedly shaped the opinions and politics of many of EVE's residents.

5. Drunkenmaster - Classic PvPr who IMO is the Megathron master. Big Poppa of SPVD, a veteran pirate corp.

6. Hardin - The "Amarr Only" man with a preference for the bad girls from gallente space. Part of P.I.E. an Amarr only RP corp.

7. SirMolle - The Evolution man. EVO is just a corp you don't want to be on it's bad side.... EVER.

8. Wren - Oracle Corp - the Minmatar freedom fighters. He and his fellows consistently RP vs the Amarr corps and makes for excellent IG material.

9. Viceroy - He's fun, funny, from SPVD. He's the Legal Law Dog. Now go have a cookie.

10. Robeyone - RONA's bossman - powerhouse company. He's respected by friends and foes alike.

11. Datsevlu - One of the voice's of Techell - Shipbuilding industrial corp. Controversial but powerful.

12. Darth Solo - Pirate Hunter extraordinaire. From Celestial Apocalypse one of the premiere PvP corps in the game.

Sure I did 12 and not 10... Like I CARE! There are more out there that deserve recognition but i'd be here all day writing...

Thanks Shamis!

So who are the leaders of these alliances? I saw a great map yesterday. Looks like there are about 7 player alliances out there. looks like 4 big ones.....

P.S. Gotleib thanks for your entries, but please only current power players not funny folks or pirates.....I'm looking to do some brown noseing, remember?

They are all power players in their own way. Even if they add levity to the game. I mean those in power aren't all stiffs. They all have a substantial realm of influence, many friends AND enemies.

Good luck with the butt kissing.

Omg that made me laugh

What are you doing? Compiling a list of the most obnoxious people?

Basically, Without doubt the person with the most ability to change the game for any other or group of others is

1. XirtamVOTF -> Spiritual Father of CA.
We went to war with CFS basically on his Whim (they ****ed him off). :) (not that it was a bad idea)

2. Duke Droklar of OC
3. SirMolle feat. Lord Zap
4.Head of RUS
5. Head of Xanadu
6. Head of Rona-KIA
7. Grudgingly, Jade Constantine of Jericho Faction: Despite all power being derived from Forum Whoring, she/he/it is DAMN good at it and so has built up a decent powerbase.
8->10. CEOs of ShinRa, Black Omega, Endless, Oracle, Spectre, etc. In any order/combination

The heavy emphasis on CA is for some simple reasons:
Biggest PvP Force, Most players, Controls 1/5 of EVE. Most Powerful PvP. Never backed down from a war (our enemies always come up with an excuse after being beaten/equalled to withdraw).
Basically any of the CEOs listed could probably motivate the whole CA to go to war against most targets, giving them pretty immense power.

He asked for actual power not 'who has made a name for themselves'

Power is an broad term. If you use that term linked to respect I would have to comment as follows:

Remo Williams is a very powerful character, in more ways than one.

In the same catagory, TBone, Shard, and some of the more professional M0o players are powerful.

My choices are due not just to actual power and influence, but also the willingness to use it. Top5 as follows:

1: Sassinak - Coz he's uber, don't believe me? ask him!

2: Paddyman - Coz he's got some diplomacy going on behind the scenes.

3: Joshua Calvert / Jade Constantine - Coz they ***** the forums and people seem to believe anything they read these days.

4: DJ Doby & Crew - Though they may not realise it, the DJ's could order anyone's death and have the corpse on ice within 10 minutes.

Funny thing i find about this game is that people are not the ones who are great, but a team is. The more teamwork you do in eve, the more you can archieve. And THAT is what i love about eve.

Is it in gathering minerals, is it in gaining tech2 bp's, or pvp... The better the teamplay is the more succes, and i must say its GREAT to coordinate a 8 man fleet against 12 fleet and win by great teamwork.

So i cannot tell you who are the best in eve, since my answer would be: the teammates i play with, but that opinion is in anyone's case: Old news. Smile

As you see, Susie Dutra, there are just too many people to make it a "Top 10" list that's acceptable EVE-wide. :)

Top 3 Player Super-Powers:

1. XirtamVOTF (most push/pull, politically/militarily)
2. R0nin (Unites almost ALL Russian corps in Eve)
3. Ticklepink (Singlehandedly does more dmg to CA than all military enemies combined without leaving Empire space)

Well I mainly agree with that list except xirtam, he's just dumb and pathetic IMNSHO. I mean you declare war on everlasting and then try some weak attempt to get one of your alts ( boostetisa) into everlasting vendetta? Thats just soooooo lame and shows you absolutely got no power (otherwise you wouldnt need to try and put an alt in our "weak" corporation)....

Heres my input.

1. XirtamVotf (One of the main guys in the curse alliance, huge amount of clout, huge army to back him up (has been known to mobalise hundreds of battleships in single engagements)

2. Istvaan Shogaatsu (Most of you wont know this guy, aka Hellgremlin, he was the big name pre-release, known by most of the old ceos ceos, highly respected, gift of the gab, underestimated)

3. Lord Zap (one of the m0o head guys, scares a lot of pilots ****less on sight, m0os main power in my opinion is its reputation, can scare a lot of corps into backing them, widely concidered as the best pvp corp (not imo though))

4. Chowdown (Probably the main ca fleet commander, one of the best pvp corps imo, more due to activity than anything else)

5. Molle/Shrike (Head of evolution, same kinda thing as what I said for Lord Zap, not nearly as much scare factor, and not as good at pvp imho, but still has the power to worry large alliances, not as active as m0o *seems* to be, could be mistaken)

6. Xanadu leader (Leader of Xanadu, need more be said)

7. Torkaj (Head of eve's old news organisation, making a comback, if INO gets going like it used to, I reckon he'll have substantial clout)

And here is mine:

(in no particular order)

Robeyone (heads eveÆs only real mega corporation with ambitions to match)
Darth Solo (headÆs up a serious coalition of pvp-centric anti pirates with the guts and chutzpah to fight anyone)
Lord Zap (heads up mOo corp and has a lot of very skilled and senior players in his allegiance)
Molle (heads up Evolution and commands a very solid and professional corporate outfit)
Duke Droklar (heads C4 alliance which is pretty much the political wing of the CA and presents a structure that potentially can transcend the worst aspects of the CA player base)
Morkt Drak (ancient news guru, agent maestro and fabulously rich caldari business man. Can fund entire regional alliance defence budgets from his own pocket)
Istvaan Shogaatsu (a very clever and ambitious man who promotes a side of eve that many retail players have never seen before)
TRIGGER (grand player in the Stain alliance, and very respected in political circles)
Xanadu CEO (why the hell donÆt we know his name!) heads up an industrial and military corporate of impressive scope and professionalism.
Hardin (represents an alliance of Amarri corporations and interests that lead the way on nationalist roleplaying and in-game power in Eve)

With the exception of Duke Droklar, I have negotiated and communicated with all of these guys in the past and one thing that makes ôa powerful playerö is the ability to marry wit with capability and in-game presence. These people understand that the game is played on many levels and unless you have representation on all of them you risk losing out to some aspects of the great game of statescraft.

Its not enough to have 40 battleships to be "powerful" ... you must be persuasive, diplomatic, cunning, controlled, decisive and (to an extent) trustworthy.

If you are a proven thief or liar or betrayer of allies then your power is weakened because your ability to convince and inspire is damaged.

In eve its not possible to silence detractors and hide from the ttuth. Your reputation will stay with you forever.

Hence if you have designs on fame and fortune and significance in the Eve star cluster then your word is as important as the strength of your fleet. Many of the guys I just named have made mistakes and errors in the past but they have had the forsight and wisdom to put things right and rise above setbacks and disasters. Endurance and enduring reputation is the winning hand in the game of thrones.

1. Sokhar
... wait scratch that

1. Sastul (not his ingame name I think)/Head of Xanadu (for all intents and purposes it seems Xanadu is every bit the retail power that techell used to be, and far far more politically significant)

2. SirMolle - Evol is hands down the best set of power gamers in EVE

3. XirtamVOTF (if Lallante defers to him, then apparently he supercedes her in CA clout)

4. Morkt Drakt- He (and others)really have CCP's ear and he is also very powerful in the market.

5. Lord Zap - Begrudgingly. He controls one of the best PVP corps in the game and undoubtedly the most feared. I do not, however, think that you can really compare the power of pirate organizations to entrenched retail powers, alliance powers who really (as much as is possible) control markets and regions. Both groups have real power, they are just quite different types of power.

6. Darth Solo- Politically important, heads an impressive corporation, and hell we need an anti-pirate on this list.

7. Tank CEO- His rankng is more of a historical one than anything else. I think his secure space pirating and other various inflammatory actions have done alot to shape the current outlook of CCP in regards to "exploits", especially those which involve killing people you should not theoretically be able to.

8. Datselvu (sic)- He has slipped of late alot in my mind but he was once indisputably the retail king of EVE.

9. Tzadkiel- Some of you may think I am nuts for putting him on this list. Simply put, however, he is the person most in control of the Meta-Mod market. This does mean that he may become decreasingly significant as t2 is released, but his recent move to produce interceptors should keep him in the picture. Everyone, from Lord Zap to Sokhar buys mods from this guy.

10.Duke Droklar- He should probably be higher on the list. I am not a big fan of his but you cannot deny that he runs a succesful, efficient corporation and has real political and military clout. To a certain extent I really learned about fleet combat for the first time in a few short joint operations with Omega in Curse. It was enlightening ... until he decided as I was a person who killed people in 0.0 he wouldn't fight with me, and then subsequently joined the "pirates" he was fighting in CA. (I appreciate the political expediency of his decision, I just dislike the reversal of a moral stand; And no Reclaimer I never made one so I am not hypocritical in the same sense).

Jade, you're a Pseudo-Intellectual Joke. I am Strongly regretting putting you in my list.

I challange you to change the way I play Eve. Because in a game, surely thats the only and ultimate expression of power, changing the way another person plays.

If you succeed I will accept that the qualities you describe are what makes a person powerful in EVE, and bow to your Power. (not talking RL here, Eve is a game and the same rules certainly don't always apply)

This is the reason for each and every person on my list (excluding yourself). If I had never visited the forums I wouldn't even know of your existance. Nor would ANYONE outside of your corp and the two dozen people who see you day to day. People Like Zap, Molle, Xirtam, Duke, they make a name for themselves, and carve out their powerbase through Ingame actions.

Go-on, effect the way I play my game.

Be that as it may I think you are more identifiable than he is if you aren't that familiar with CA (or at least the internal workings of CA), although thats probably more a matter of the size of CA and/or my ignorance of CA politics.

While I personally have only recently resumed playing Eve, and am too pre-occupied with boosting my character to acclimate myself to the political landscape and have the awareness to fill ten entries, I can attest to one individual whose in-game character would probably have the number one spot for sheer PVP destructiveness: Homo Erectus. From what I have seen of his firepower, it is enough to poke holes in worlds.

Yup, all the politics and arguments, all the *****ing on the forums has as much impact on the game as playing the game itself. As there is no content as such... This is what the community have come up with all this that you read about, all that you see in the game, all the conflict, alliances, wars, murders, assasinations and shady business deals. Are all construct of the community. Thats why Eve IMO is the Greatest MMOG..

The most Infuencial and powerful people in the game/Those who shape its daily outcome would be:

Alliance Leaders: Curse Alliance most notibly as they are the largest most powerful entity currently in Eve.

Leaders of the most powerful PVP corps, as these guys, at any given time can give the order to go raise hell within an alliance or any area of space.... These are leader of corps such as m0o corp, Evolution, Rus, Space Invaders,Mass, Zombies (I would like to say Jokers as they impress me but I think they are too small to caus a big problem to an entity such as an alliance, no offense guys if your readingWink)

Leaders of the Top Manufacturing and Undustry Corps Such as Techell, Xanadu, Rona, Arcane Technologies(Although not quite as well known for manufacturing as they are for alliance pvp, they have a very large playerbase and have a very impressive turnover).

And of course People like Jade Constantine whos ability with words has more than once changed the shape of the Eve universe (NVA Etc) Also creating such Controversy and argument keeps us all entertained. Keep it upWink This is what I mean when the forums play as big a part in Eve as Eve itself.

These people IMO are those who could change the way you experience Eve at any given time. Especially if you exist in 0.0 space

These are my opinions only and are of course open to debate and criticismWink

I think something to consider byond this is the idea of consrvation of force. In other words being able to acomplish a lot with a little. I realize i am bias but i have seen a lot in my eve time and id argue that c4 is the best at this. duke droklar by creating this force and by making individuals across the globe work as an effective team makes him number one in my book.

The only comment im going to make (as all the expected names are already there) is that I think indeviduals who are thought of as having large ammounts of power often dont.

Im going to use "The Dark Lord" Xirtam as an example for no other reason than it is an alliance "head" I have had experience with. So pls dont flame as im correct. I have sat in in numerous CA meetings and im sure its pretty similar for all alliances. The sheer length of time it takes to make a decision on any action especially somthing controversial that has opposition inside the alliance is staggering to someone who is used to playing in a non affiliated corp.

The heads of all alliance have there hands tied by public oppinion and infighting, where as the powerfull single corporation CEO imho can have a far larger impact on the way EvE is played.

forums have a very large part to play in the political wars of eve, though i would challange jade's idea that 40 battleships in the hands of 40 hardcore top shelf PVPers dont match up to a good chat over tea and biscuits.

Just a couple of points:

1. So many people nominated "whoever runs Xanadu" - how do you know Xanadu has a single leader? Could be a couple of people in there.

2. Why isn't Stavros mentioned? He'd be in there before some of the others.

3. What about Ragnar? He might be as mad as a bush but he was a rather provocative force in the game.

4. How many of those mentioned by previous posters are gm/dev's, if any?

I'll leave my opinion re: XirtamVotF for private Twisted Evil

I will try to answer the question:

1.The most powerful alliances and player groups is the Curse Alliance (Sub part are C4 and FE)atm. So the most powerful are chars are The 'Dark Lord' XirtamVOTF and Duke Droklar. The CA could bring up like 200 Battleship pilots if they want.

2. strongest alliance is the Phoenix Alliance under RONA-KIA with like 50 Battleshippilots (sorry, doesnt know the leader exactly)

3. strongest is Stain Alliance and this part under Trigger of (MASS) and Infinity (COL) .Military power like 30 Battleships

All 3 Alliances have high train pilots and high resourses.

4 Xetic is a really rich and memberstrong alliance with like 100 Battleship pilots. A bit carebaer, but allied and start training for more military power

5. NORAD with like 40 Battleship pilots but low trained so not powerpower.

6. FA(xanadu/BIG) and CFS. both are only economic alliances with non existing military power

PvP/Pirate corps are not so strong atm. most took heavy losses in fighting against the alliances and piracy is dead inside empire space.

Most successful corps are Zombie Inc and TunDraGon. Both were in RSA ,have much resourses and high trained pilots.

so i would nominate Trintion of Zombie as powerful.

Celestiel Apoc has the most Battleships of a non pirate pvp corp. But they have a lot of newbies, BUT they under training. they are to loud on the forum a bit.

Famous corps like Evolution and m0o toked many losses and have near no resources left, but they under reconsturction.

Important people are shrike of Evol (Only true Pvp in the corp)

Strongest production corp is Techell under Datselvu.

An important corp are also Space Invaders, the members are mostly active as mercenaries or doing economics stuff.

Important single players are

1) Stavros - he has money, is really good in logistic and on of the best pvper. He has tactical skills and is a good forum fighter.

2) Morkt Drak of BBBB has money, and is a good forum fighter too. (Eve-Guardian)

3) Jade Constanine is one of the best forum-'*****s' and fighter. But her influcence is really down, based on the intrigents of (MISO). Good she kicked her from the corp.

many other have their fame from the past, but are only loud

thats my personal view. hope it helps :D

Aye thats true, but hes only been gone 2 months. While he was still here he really did make alot of difference in EVE politics. He was the driving force behind removing Omega, and alot of other major SA policies. So for effect over the most number of people Civil has gotta be up there.

It seems the magic hat is more like the 'one hat' which binds all the dark forces of power and is passed onto the major corp leaders in the game; Ragnah, Civil, i wonder who is going to be next, both of those guys were the leaders of the largest corp in tha game at the time, does this mean that RONA's CEO is gonna go nuts to? WTF sorry m8 but pls try to get your facts right we may loose the odd ship here and there, but none of these losses make the slightest bit of an effect on our resoruces relitivly. I speak for most of m0o and all of Evol here when I say we are more than wealthy enough take many many more losses than we recive. Im sure if you combined the personal wealth of each and every m0o member with the m0o CW we would make most large corps blush, FACT.

I resent that! Even if I am not around to save fountain like I used to, surely Stan must count as at least a half battleship pilot.

So a more appropriate list would be:

6. FA(xanadu/BIG) economic alliance with 0.5(+) battleships military power.

7. CFS. only economic alliance with non existing military power.

To the m0o guys:

Meetings in the CA arnt like they used to be. Meetings rarely go beyond 30mins - 45 mins except when there is a BIG issue to be discussed. Xirtam is respected by the vast majority of CA Ceos, and for this reason he is powerful. Simple as that.

I havnt ever really rated Xanadu. My only real experience of fighting them, in E02 / M-M in CA space, resulted in around 20 BS kills in one day (and note this is from the FA PvP Force, not their miners / n00bs). Xanadu were part of this 'mob' but didnt distinguish themselves further.
I mean obviously they are an industrial might to be reckoned with, but what power does this give them: they cant even choose who they sell to.

Perhaps I'm wrong and they can PvP well. We will soon see it seems.

Btw: again to the m0o guys, your losses mean nothing to you because you have so much money. Ever thought that the same applies to us :). In fact given our total membership size, you guys lost more BSs/member! Lol I know its a stupid statistic but it just shows how in these days of Ark Strip mining and free 40% insurance and full Insurance how little kills actually mean.

This reply isnt intended to proveke angry responses or anything its just the way it is.

I honestly beleive that datsevlu (in that character at least) will never again be influencial in eve as every corp he starts under that name will get uber greifed, he said to me a few days ago 'I'm just holding out for these wars to end before I start recruiting again' I replyed with: no offence or anythng man but your gonna be holding out a long time its been months already hasnt it.

The real face behind datsevluy may become a power in eve again if he makes a new char and no one ever links him to the other chars but thats about it.

Power is an broad term. If you use that term linked to respect I would have to comment as follows:

Remo Williams is a very powerful character, in more ways than one.

In the same catagory, TBone, Shard, and some of the more professional M0o players are powerful.

Wow, is this suprising to see Lester Mako stroking Remo Williams ego?

My question is, who wears the pants? Or was it already answered in the post? Laughing

Keep this necro alive tbh, I do enjoy these type of top10 lists, prehaps we can see a more up to date take on the current state of EVE.
