The stated modus operandi of GS is to "break games" ie use mechanics in a way or on a scale that was never intended, like spawning penuses in Second Life etc.
Obviously hisec was never meant to be Disneyland.
On the other hand, I don't believe it was meant to be the main battleground of Eve either.
Alliance space is almost irrelevant, except for the high end minerals it provides.
Does anybody really care that alliance X beat alliance Y in lagfest POS warfare?
Does waiting for a module to respond represent "gaming" to anybody?
Used to be that 0.0 was the meat and hisec was irrelevant.
Now hisec is the meat and 0.0 is irrelevant.
GS came to Eve to break it, but the reality is it was already broken.

That Penuses thing was great and its their own fault for being in a free to do what you want zone.

Watching the people whine and the Goonies respond is like watching a bunch of ******s argue about which one is the smartest one on the short bus
CCP already knows how to 'fix' the suicide gankers, all they have to do is remove the insurance payout for Concord kills. That won't remove suicide ganking, but will make it so that the gank squads have to determine that the target value is worth more than they are about to lose. Would that stop the Goonies... NO. Would it slow them down a little bit, sure but it would take a little while before the losses started to mount enough to make them stop.

It is more likely that the fat anti social nerd is the one mining ALONE in high sec.

Wieners leave this game all the time because someone ruins their fun. There was high sec ganking before Jihadswarm, and there will be after. If CCP was so concerned about people leaving because Eve is hard then they would have made the risk v. reward closer to that of the major MMO's.
Besides, I'm sure someone else probably said this in the thread already, IF (IF IF IF) CCP decided to react to Jihadswarm's high sec ganking they wouldn't decide to give in to the Swarm's demands. They'd just ban the worst offenders and threaten to ban anyone else who tried to blackmail their RL company with in-game shenanigans. I mean come on what kind of leverage can you ever really have over someone who can just ban you from the place you're causing trouble in?
But I don't think the Goons are doing their thing for any reason other than fun. The more threads like this that get started the bigger the legend grows. It's a dumb legend tbh.
