When the goons could not defeat bobs titans they threadnaughted and according to some even blackmailed CCP and posted on just about any game related forum about how crap EVE was and put about accusations against CCP being biased and backed this up by continually resurrecting the T20 affair and goons where even accused of having a master plan to ruin EVE and CCP. I make no claims about whether the rumours are true or not and only recounting whats been accredited to them by other players, but whatever the truth is titans did get nerfed and have proven fairly vulnerable with several dieing a fiery death. Many months on and BoB are supposedly nearly finished with the coalition planning on "dining in NOL" but for various reasons I don't claim to understand it didn't quite work out to plan and the coalition did "dine in NOL" but they ended up on the menu and BoB are not dieing and even taken back some token victories in the form of a Titan and other supercaps and masses of enemy pos. The coalition for some reason doesn't seem to be as committed in its cause as it once was and some members are pursuing other campaigns in various other regions which brings us around to the goons. The Goons are carrying out their infamous "jihadswarm" and much to many EVE players delight are suicide ganking Miners in high sec. Also at this time the forum whine squad has a new target Cyno jammers and titans once more and the goons are also participating in the whine fest and CAOD is full of various alt posters as well flaming and whinging about titans. So is the Jihadswarm a tactic by the Goons to blackmail CCP? could it be that they are ganking high sec players who could very well leave the game because of the Jihad in the hopes of using it as a bargaining tool to get cause further nerfs to titans? I make just enough each month to buy my 2 GTCs (2 accounts) and keep training my skills. I can make 10-20m an hour doing my missions. I've bought GTCs at up to 200m and as low as 170m. So I can put in up to 20 hours a month of grinding to keep playing. As an high-sec hugging, corpless empire dweller, I wish I made 1/8th the money the greifers think I do.

(nerf insurance on Concord kills plz) Eve's 0.0 is basically in the xenophobic tribal warfare stage of devolopment, and it will stay that way as quite probally CCP want it to remain dangerous and fun, (or they know there are more destroyers than builders in the world and think "just be friends" is a nice idea but unacheivable), after all blowing up stuff keeps the ecomony going, no boom boom, no market for miners, producers, speculators etc. CCP, if the goons begin to hurt their bottom line can do some very drastic things within the story line of eve, a few Jovian undercover exploration agents getting killed could have the Jovians enter 0.0 and wipe out the whole goon alliance in a day, every POS, every Captial, every last ship, a total cleansing of all hostile forces, the goons and thier cohort would all wake up in thier noob corp locations going wtf. That won't remove suicide ganking, but will make it so that the gank squads have to determine that the target value is worth more than they are about to lose. Would that stop the Goonies... NO. If CCP was so concerned about people leaving because Eve is hard then they would have made the risk v. reward closer to that of the major MMO's. Besides, I'm sure someone else probably said this in the thread already, IF (IF IF IF) CCP decided to react to Jihadswarm's high sec ganking they wouldn't decide to give in to the Swarm's demands. They'd just ban the worst offenders and threaten to ban anyone else who tried to blackmail their RL company with in-game shenanigans. I mean come on what kind of leverage can you ever really have over someone who can just ban you from the place you're causing trouble in? But I don't think the Goons are doing their thing for any reason other than fun. The more threads like this that get started the bigger the legend grows. It's a dumb legend tbh.
