I play in windowed mode, and I used a resolution that was larger than the above resolution but yet I can't find it in the list anymore
It was a widescreen resolution essentially somewhere between 1280 and 1680, the height was somewhere between 768 and 1024 --------------------- Creator of another Mining Calculator |

Edited by: Elrinarie on 13/03/2008 04:51:49 well they said they were getting rid of anything under 1280x768 so that one I can understand. but the current resolutions are completely crap in windowed mode for a widescreen monitor.
there are only 3 resolutions showing up. the 1280/768 is WAY too small, the 1280x1024 resoultion is too tall on my DELL 20 inch FPW monitor which runs at a max resolution of 1680x1050
so 1024 height is just too tall even after hiding the windows task bar due to the window bar at the top.
/edit
I don't understand why we can't stretch our resolution to be what we want to be. --------------------- Creator of another Mining Calculator |

Originally by: Wolf Koch Hmm, 1152*864 is still available in windowed mode. Guess the rez removal only applies to fullscreen.
I can't seem to get that resolution in windowed mode though
the only 3 resolutions I can get are
1024x768 1280x1024 1680x1050 --------------------- Creator of another Mining Calculator |

Originally by: Wolf Koch Odd, I only get 1024x768 1152x864 1280x768 1280x800 in windowed mode. I get a lot more, all the way up to 1600x1200 in fullscreen, but no 1152x864.
you probably are getting non-widescreen resolutions. I'm guessing you don't have a widescreen monitor... --------------------- Creator of another Mining Calculator |

Originally by: Wolf Koch 1280x768 is a widescreen resolution. Anyway, I doubt it has anything to do with this.
no i'm sure it has everything to do with "unexpected issues" from patching. Sadly it's becoming more and more common that blaring issues are occurring with patches that SHOULD have been caught.
I mean how much testing do you need to do to figure out what resolutions are available post patch in fullscreen/widescreen pre/post patch....
how much testing needs to be done to determine that it's a bad idea to delete the boot.ini file.
I guess i'm just being mean because this should have been caught but still.. --------------------- Creator of another Mining Calculator |

Please make sure you mention: - what graphics card do you have. - what driver versions. - what operating system are you running. - what DirectX version are you using. - are the resolutions unavailable in full screen mode, windowed mode or both?
Thank you.
Um.. How am I supposed to bug report missing resolutions when I no longer have a client that lets me know what resolutions were available?

any ETA of a fix for this issue? I really can't run this game in windowed mode until this is fixed, and considering I have more than 1 account, this is frustrating to no end.
I can either play only 1 account in windowed mode.
Or I can't play as I either get too small of a resolution or my other two options push the bottom of the screen off the desktop viewing area and I can't click things like undock from station, and have problems seeing the bottoms of the chat windows, etc etc.. --------------------- Creator of another Mining Calculator |

Originally by: Jenea EVE worked fine on Windows 98/ME... until CCP decided it didn't. I suspect they didn't want to deal with an unsupported OS -- or maybe Microsoft paid CCP to discontinue the older OS. Who knows, maybe CCP got some extra money from the monitor manufacturers to try and boost the hardware sales of newer monitors?
