Except for these problems:
1.It doesn't work. (IE7)
I've tried with and without font size. Toggling the checkbox. Nothing gets rid of the stupid pictures.
2.People that don't want to or can't log in are now forced to wade past the stupid images.
Please. Change it back the way it was. Images should be opt-in not opt-out.

Is it somehow possible to show signatures but without images like it was before 1.1 patch? Right now it seems I can disable images only in posts and/or completly disable signatures.
I liked it how it worked before with disabled images - I could see text part of sigs, but no images. 
How did you manage to get rid of the images? It's those that annoy me. Especially that stupid yellow rectangle.

Left menu - Forums/Settings. You have to be logged in though, they killed that small checkbox for dis/enabling images which used to be on top of the page. God knows why, it was actually very good solution.
Oh I know that. What I was wondering is what else you did. That setting has no effect for me despite anything else I try (see my original post).

Ah sorry. The only thing I did was selecting default character. But it seems to be random, becouse it wasn't displaying alliances to me earlier (even though enabled) and now it is without me changing anything.
Mayby try to login/logout? I did that few times.
Yeah. Mine is now hiding signature images as long as I have don't show signatures set.
It's still annoying that the setting is tied to your character though. Given the crappy way the forums handle being logged in (ie;forgetting that you are) and the problem of those using computers where logging in would be inadvisable it's just a crap change.

Hey! They fixed it already!
I now have an image placeholder and some text telling me to change my settings to see images. That's better.

NB:I'm at home now so if the problem is still there for you it implies something specific to your browser.
