I've spent the last month training skills that overlap between the Domi and the Hyperion. Notes: I'm almost cap stable here. I need the NOS to even it out if I'm using Antimatter, but that will change once I get Energy Systems Operations 4. Alternatively, just use 3 guns. I can afk the vast majority of missions with this.
Hyperion High: 8x 350mm Prototype Railgun I AM L/Iridium L
Med: 5x CR II
Low: 4x Rat specific Hardener 1x LAR II 1x EANM II or DC II
Drones: mission specific (4 heavies OR 10 mediums)
Rigs: 1x CCC 2x Aux Nano Pump
Notes: I'm still tweaking this one. It isn't as forgiving as my Domi, but with implants I can rep 1.1k armor every 12 seconds or so. The sheer amount of armor (10k) and shields (7.5k) and hull (10k) make this a beast. I'm working on gunnery skills so that I can target/snipe from further out, and drone skills so that I can use them past the initial 45km limit. Also, if you're acting as fire support for someone else, swapping out all the lows for MagStab IIs will increase your DPS by 50% (in my case, from 300 to 450). Not bad for a 3 month old char :)
To the OP: Keep in mind that this game is open-ended, so don't be in a rush to hit BSes. There is a LOT more to do, and LOT of ways to make money. Also, while you're on the way up, train 1 rank of destroyers + 3 ranks of salvaging + 3 ranks of science so that you can use a destroyer as a salvager. |
