Dear players, today's Downtime will be extended further due to deployment taking a bit longer than originally announced. We expect to have Tranquility up and open for business at about 15.00 GMT.

Will there be a patch, or is this all server side work?
If there is to be a patch, can we get some patch notes? --

LOL I got pwned 2 days in a row thinking it was all over and switching from my 12 day skill back to an overnight one. Waking up to see extended downtime messages is a great way to start the day...lol.

id rather have had NO PATCH than losing 50+ hours of paid game-time and counting.
In-fact, what id rather... is if you used the TEST server, to TEST stuff, so that when you deploy it, you know what to do. ==== Exiled. Recruitment: OPEN

It is a server-side change to fix issues from the Trinity 1.1: Boost Patch deployment.

CCP really needs to regularly announce the end of maintenance periods about 2 hours after planned. That way when its extended, people will still be happy it opened earlier than announced.

Two days off planned weeks ago and, thinking patch days are usually Tuesday, I opted for Wednesday and Friday only to have to go out and get a life on two seperate days of the year due to all this patching malarkey.
I demand CCP reimburse me for all the energy it's taken to go and get that life. I am very expensive but about 50 bil should cover it - in game isk or out of game pounds accepted. |

What a great boost patch. Lag is increased and it seems CCP are having trouble with the servers now after the patch. More testing before deploying the next patch perhaps ;)

Which bugs did you report whislt helping test on Sisi?
There are issues, CCP are ironing them out - no need to give them grief over it.

You know, I don't really mind the downtime, but I do have one complaint. I dont care about the lost game time 2 days is hardly the end of the world. I don't even care about the lost training time (my skill ended around 1pm GMT).
Whats really gotten to me is the fact that I have just done HOUSEWORK. Thanks CCP, now I have lost the butt grove in my sofa (laptops ftw) and have had to empty the vacuum cleaner. Hope your proud of yourselves!

Win! I had to do housework in the last few days to occupy myself with downtime.
To all whiners, if you've played this game for some time, you should realize by now that patching is rarely a smooth process on this game, and everytime a big patch is announced most player will set a LONG skill training. Heck even the GM's, the ISD's, the front page news and forum posts have said: Make sure you train a skill for long after the server goes back up. D'oh, maybe learn to read, and have more common sense after that 1st patch was deployed later than expected, and set battlecruiser V or something going.
However, if you're one of the new influx of players from other MMO 'RPG' games maybe you need to go back there and see how fun it is. In my opinion I'd rather pay for, and play, a slightly buggy game for now with amazing content that will be fixed, than paying for every, single, expansion pack that comes out just to make things just a little bit less boring for old players. Go on, go back, we won't miss you while you cast your level 60 fireballs all day long

Edited by: Maik002 on 14/03/2008 14:36:21 Dear CCP. Our monthly payment is going to take a little bit longer than originally expected due to the payment of a new CPU. With this one we can play Eve smoother than before in higher resolutions. We expect to have your payment transfered as soon« as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.!
(We allways have to pay and wait without playing while they¦re fixing their problems, why?)

Its true, that buck you lost in play time could have been better spent buying yourself a clue.
