Right, despite having the absolute minimal help from the "customer" concerned, I've been able to follow the paper trail and validate the claim. As such, I've just transfered the outstanding 60 million ISK to Szent as requested in this thread.
Sadly, a great deal of this excess effort (this isn't my job and I'm horribly lazy at the best of times) could have been avoided if the "customer" concerned would have made the effort to get in touch as directed. The procedures we have in place for this sort of thing are there for a reason and under normal circumstances they wouldn't be deviated from.
However in this case, the fault is clearly ours and I'm more than happy to issue an appology and refund now everything has been confirmed.
So, are we still scammers or just heartless customer service meanies who enjoy making people jump through hoops to satisfy our perverse lust for needless bureaucracy?
Take your pick, we'll be playing our tunes. |

Trust me, if its something we really wanted, we'd gladly contact you on IRC
However, we've done what we wanted to do, which was to give you your money back once we were able to verify everything.
I'm glad we eventually got your issue resolved.

Here we go. The reason why the ad didn't get produced and the client had jump thru those hoops for months to get a refund

Translation, thank you for the loan we nearly got away with and being our B$yatch.
This whole thread read like trying to get tech support from Dell India or having the unfortunate situation of being a HSBC credit cardholder ... you will get screwed.

On the downside, the original poster's defiance made things harder on him because of that. On the bright side they had means to find and verify his unprocessed order.

They had the means to find and verify it from the very beginning - open Codey28's wallet and tab through the journal.
There is/was no logical reason to demand an e-mail. Frankly, an EVE-Mail should've been more than enough.
People have mentioned how they 'worked in retail and had customers like this' or that the radio guys 'run everything through a paper mill just like a real company'... Get your heads on straight, tbh...

The procedures arent put in place to screw anybody. Its a bussiness after all... and for heavens sake procedure isnt exactly a burden. E-mail the guys, dont IMPLY you WOULD get the runaround. Customers feel they are always right, because thats what they are told. But that is incredibly incorrect. I get payed to say no to customers every day.

60 million isk is chump change. You can make that in one 15 second gank of a reasonably fit mission whoring ship. Or if you prefer doing things the hard way, that's about two runs through World's Collide Lvl 4. In either case, the small quantity of isk involved is laughable.
Now, if we were talking 1 billion isk or more, THEN the whole thing would have been news worthy. But this, tbh, was like watching the white trash people on divorce court arguing over who should get the $50 silver plated candlestick that used to sit in the center of the dining room table.

Kinda remind me of when I get sent to the shop when I was younger to get some electric was only ú5, but anyways the guy behind the counter took my money but didn't give me anything on the electric... I went home found out I aint been given anything, so my dad went ballistic, for a 5'er
Gah what money (real/virtual) can make people do aye!

Hello. I'm afraid I dont check EO Forums all that often and had my attention dragged to this thread via another member of our staff. I am however, glad to see this situation has now been sorted, if via the wrong way round it.
Can I take this opportunity to remind listeners to EVE Radio that should they have any serious issues with either broadcasts or other matters of interest regarding EVE Radio operations, that they should lodge a complaint using our complaints procedure program to ensure that the issue is delt as quickly as possible.
Details of how to make a complaint are posted within our own forums which can be found at EVE Radio and click on forums. Direct link >>> Complaints Department
Complaints sent to the email address provided are delivered direct to myself and shall be responded to as soon as possible.
Thanks for reading

What is the matter with you people.
First off EVE-Radio is a NON PROFIT ORGANISATION.
People who work and DJ for them do so for the love, not for the money. Its a strictly voluntary basis.
And thirdly AFAIK all ISK generated through advertising and donations ends up being given away as prizes in their shows.
So all of you whiny bustiches STFU already. EVE-Radio has been entertaining many of us for years now... FOR FREE!! Accidents happen and if you had simply sent em a friggin e-mail FFS you would have had your cash back months ago. Jump though hoops my ass.

I work in customer service and i can confirm: there are really annoying customers like this out there. We know, customer is king, and customer is always right. But it would be great if customer could apply some common logic once in a while too. The world doesn't really revolve around you, you know?
PS.: There are also a ton of costumers out there that try to betray companies with made up stuff, thats why certain procedures are put in place. If you follow the stnadard procedures everyone will be happy. If you dance out of the line you make everything more complicated and yourself unhappy.

A little heads up for Eve Radio here.
Some people are quite happy to handle stuff like this in-game, but do not want to use IRC or email simply because it puts RL information at risk.
You need to review your procedures.

I am very new to eve, but having been ( a long time ago) one of the UOStratics admins etc I know that any none profit organisation designed to support a big mmo's client base do bloody amazing jobs...for nowt...and just like any company accidents do happen. But calling them scammers is a below the belt call. As is any comment on what they aught to do re: changing procedures...that is unless you have been in the shoes of someone working there. As for the petulant stamping of feet about e-mailing jeez talk about cutting off the nose to spite the face or what!
p.s. save the labradors!
