I prefer the term Consistent Bugs, and Consistent downtimes. Eve players all understand when the server goes down, and why. We thank CCP for their consistency, and thank our respective Gods we aren't all playing WoW instead.

i think lots of new players (with trial) seem to forget that eve had a major update last week... Big updates always lead to downtime... normall because a big update is lots of work. A new update = new features = more chance of new bugs.
Be glad ccp is doing the effort to create new content, new challenges,...
I only have my account for about 2 weeks and i upgraded it after the first week of my trial. I understand why there are more downtimes these days... lear to live with it. Life is more than gaming.

I disagree. I rarely have issues with bugs; only after major patches do I see unscheduled downtimes; I've never had an issue with any GM I've spoken to in four years of play, and just generally not had many problems. I think it's definitely worth my money.

This is a lesson for new players: never base your decission whether to play the game or not on the opinion of a single individual player. Play the game and make up your own mind. That's what the trial is for in the first place.

CCP cares about its players, they are just limited in manpower... I had all my petitions answered, found helping people when I have issues, your post shows how you take things and troll and why you're not getting answers. You say GMs snob you, that's why you make worse here. You are so important sir, let me brush your shoes...
Eve is not airport software, I'm happy to hear that you take great care with such software, but games don't need as much. Any software related to plane, car or anything like that which can cause death requires higher level of quality assurance, don't compare what cannot be.
You don't know anything of what they are doing during downtimes, you don't know either their hardware or software, but you comment explaining how it should be... Such great omniscient experts as you seem to be are just the guys making crap in the software projects I've been in... Finally, I'm getting worried about what your software could cause.
So, I've been playing since september 2006 and I'm satisfied of this game, satified of how CCP cares about customers, satisfied how they listen to their players before changing things (which I seen in no other game).
Minor bugs have workarounds, bugs or inconsistencies that made you loose time are easyly reported and then others won't suffer from it. I have currently a single bug that crashes the game and while I couldn't report it in the normal system, it was easy to ask for helps and have devs tell me what to do. They are caring and it will be fixed.
So, now, go play another game where trolls are a playable race, it will better fit you! -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

Don't listen to the OP! While many of his points are based on truthful situations, the OP is preaching from a skewed perspective. Yes there are always bugs after a patch, and for the most part, the more new features and changes, the more bugs pop up. Personally, I find this game to be extremely fun, and the bugs after a patch are just a minor nuisance. From the way I see it, the OP is one of those people who throws a huge fit when there is a tiny water spot on his glass at the restaurant, and from then out will tell everyone he knows that said restaurant is dirty and full of vermin, and that nobody should eat there, all because he had (what he perceives as) a bad experience.
Actually, if a few bugs after a major patch are too much for you, then maybe eve isn't the game for you anyway, and in that case, seeya... -=^=-

I think that going to either extreme should be avoided. You shouldn't consider or expect CCP to be a caring group that are there for your special needs. Also, I really don't think that they would be rude if adressed in a proper manner.
This is a business after all. They are not in it just for the fun of it. Being rude or doing anything else that turns away customers is bad for business. I am sure that your saying that GM's in general are rude is incorrect.
In any case, if it's true that the game is "Just constant problems", then the 14 days of trial period should be more than enough for any new player to experience exactly what EVE has to offer and if it's worth their money.

So when you decide you are waiting too long, you grab a banner and start picketing in front of the restaurant urging people not to eat there? I would just have called the waiter and demanded when i'll get service, or ask him to fetch the manager for me.

I'm a new player to Eve who changed from a Trial Account to subscription in January. I find Eve very good value entertainment and cannot fault it in any way. It only costs around ú7 a month and that is good value. I think any bugs have been quite minor and I'm amazed how quickly CCP have dealt with them and how few bugs there have been when upgrading to a new patch. No matter how much software testing you do, there is no way of testing for every eventuality, CCP certainly seems to have done a good job in minimizing any disruption. Eve is such a vast game with so much to do and is being continually improved, I cannot see myself getting bored with it. When I do, I will cancel not buy anymore GTC's and the money I had already spent would have given me great entertainment.

Obviously not teaching English in schools. Perhaps, instead of playing a game, you should concentrate on enhancing your grasp of the English language.
Originally by: KillerParrot Who helps pay the Salary of Employees of CCP. They tend to forget that.
Do they, now? I guess by creating new content, providing consistent enjoyment to many thousands of players, and keeping a video game running 23/7/365 just isn't enough for some people. Perhaps they should come over to your house and wipe your bum, too?
Originally by: KillerParrot When you food in a Restraunt and it comes to you wrong or you have to wait a long time .. I bet you complain ..same thing here ..
If I ever 'food' in a restaurant, I hope somebody comes over and slaps me, as fooding is just uncalled for.
Originally by: KillerParrot unless your drone who accepts people crapping on you thru your life.
You could have taken a better route, say, by writing a post that was coherent, understandable, and possibly something that people could get behind. Instead, you open up your opinion, attacking those who enjoy playing the game, and attacking those who provide a fantastic service!
Sure, it's not perfect. You might not get preferential treatment, and you might not get something fixed immediately. You do, however, get somebody's attention, and the promise that they will TRY to make it BETTER!
So, the next time you 'food' in a restaurant, and you throw your tantrum to have your dinner replaced, enjoy the saliva of those who you've slighted. They're the ones working in the back room, trying to provide you, Mr. All That, with an enjoyable experience.

Down times happen every day to check for problems like hardware checking. I prefer one hour downtime vesues the game having to be taken down for hours at a time due the need for hardware replacement.
Also you say you work at airports. The air traffic control system in England has had a huge amounts of bugs. BBC. To make the point that even airport systems are never bug free.
When a patch comes out there are problems I can't think of a bit of any software with out any bugs. Unless you count "Hello world" as software.
Also can you name any game which has 30000+ players on one server and has no bugs? I think not.
