I realise this is the yarr section so I wont find that many but how many of you have never pvpd? Or never gone below -5 in your time playing eve?
I can't imagine many or any older players could go for 2+ years without dabbling in some pvp... or can you?

I ransomed a manticore pilot that was 2+ years old, he said it was his first time in lowsec and he'd never shot/been shot before. I was in a drake with no web on him and he could have flown out of range at any time also... funny, but I made 50 mil

im working on my third year and never dropped anywhere near -5.0. know alot of people who have not dabbled in pirating and are a year or 2 older in game.
so im sure there are many who have not gone yarr even though they played the game for years.
Not pvped? well Ive done that..joined an anti-pirate alliance for a while ...and even in an empire corp..your gonna see the random wardec now n then.
But if you fly in empire and see 2-3 year old chars with high sec status and never been outta the noob/starter corps..those probably have never pvped. (and many do not have alts.)

I'm sorry. I'm looking for the outer space version of SimCity.
On a more serious note, ya, I've PvP'ed a decent amount, although all my PvP experience is limited to 0.0 (Feythabolis, Syndicate, Fountain and Cloud Ring), and one isolated low-sec ganking incident.
In the low-sec scenario I was running away from a pair of PvP-fitted ships in my tiny ratting frigate. It was kind of exciting for a while since I was just barely outpacing them and trying to get out of scram range to start jumping around the system like a jack-rabbit. But alas, I 'sploded. No big deal, got my heart racing, didn't cost any isk (insurance plus the ratting I did in that system covered the cost of everything I lost just fine).
It's hard for me to understand why more players don't engage in that kind of PvP. It costs almost nothing, and it can be pretty exciting.

Got my first kill - an Omen, in a Kestrel - 20 days after 'birth'.
I think when most people try PVP, they realise what they've been missing. Even some of our targets say how much of a rush it was...

god I get more and more sick of it every time I see it.
There is no such thing as pvp, and there is no need to create a special term for what one is already expected to be doing in a multiplayer game.
But yes, I am sure there are some real weirdos that have just used eve as a chatroom with a fancy GUI for a couple years. Imagine how much worse it will get with ambulation.

PVP? Hehe, for a while i was -10 and on billboards with a huge bounty in the hundreds of millions....after a while of not being able to enter high sec to get new ships or run missions with your corpies, or fight a war cause the targets won't come near lowsec, you tend to not like being -10...so yeah, i still pvp with a high sec status now, but looking friendly and not flashing red allows you to get more kills easier...they tend to not run as fast.

As for the topic. I have PVPd since day one, killed lots rookies who were stealing my stuff back in the day when tutorial wasn't instanced and just beacons in space.
As for sec-status. I have never been below -1.0. I have done most of my killing in 0.0, lived in lowsec for a couple of months, but I never podded, so that was kind of manageable with ratting.

ive seen the insane skilled players npc all the time and not willing to pvp becouse they were afraid of loseing every time. there argument usaly is that there is not a easy way to get used to pvp. they understand that there new and go up against exprienced players. they can go pvp but there 100% sure that they will lose. and they dont see the reason to sacrafice themselfs.
some are just bzzy doing what they like. marketing, misisons, mining, its there choice to do whatever the F* they want. thats eve :)

If you mean : have you been pirating? Then no, never, and not going to.
If you mean : playing vs other players, then yes, I mine quite a bit in lowsec, and I have had my engagements.
And one encounter the first time I went into 0.0 to rat, and bought a ship, hopped in it to grab the guns 2 systems away and was welcomed by a guy in a cruiser camping a gate. Guess the guy had a laugh when he killed my ship, and found nothing on it :P

yeah i am new but the reason poeple don't just use frigate's and cheap fitting's not because they can't but they don't want to risk the pod and implant's in they head..
so the less podding that happen's the more chance poeple would pvp or figth back..
they don't care about the 1-5 million isk in the ship loss or fitting's
it's the 50+ million and clone cost of dieing..

Attacked other players - just not in my mentality I don't think, not as a pirate anyway. I am going to try red v blue when I have my skills and fitting knowledge up past the "i don't know what I am doing level" (actually they are now up to "i have a vague idea")
