Just to make certain I have this straight ... your saying that of the the 78% of the Eve subscriber base that live in high sec (taken from the last economics report)
76% of Characters live in High Sec. Not 78% of the subscriber base.
There are 460k characters in EVE. 350k in Hi-sec 60k in Low-sec 41k in 0.0
There are an average of 2.04 characters per account. However this is where it gets fun. Mains in low-sec and 0.0 tend to have one or two alts in hi-sec to check market orders, do trading or otherwise sit on their ass. Its a fair assumption to make that 0.0/low-sec dwellers have more alts on the average than carebears in hi-sec. Especially the low-sec dwellers. But I'll just pretend its 1 to 1. 1 alt in hi-sec per character in low-sec/0.0
249k Characters in hi-sec 60k in low-sec 41k in 0.0 101k low-sec/0.0 alts in hi-sec. At least.
So now lets get back to the 2 characters per account. Since we've assumed that there is an average of 1 hi-sec alt to each low sec character (personally I've got 1 Pirate main. 1 'assistant' main who is hi-sec capable and 4 hi-sec trading alts so honestly I expect the real number to be in the 1-1.5 range with people like me skewing it higher) We can make the assumption that there are in fact ~101k Accounts in low-sec and nul-sec. Unless you think most hi-sec players have non-skilled alts in 0.0?
Since there are 249k characters in hi-sec who are not pirate alts, and there are 2 accounts per player, we can assume there are ~124k Accounts in hi-sec.
Economics report says there are 220k active subscribers. My numbers come out to 225k. Rounding errors as I pretty much ignored past the decimal.
So 44% of Subscribers live in 0.0/low-sec. 56% of subscribers live in Hi-sec.
Now lets run your numbers.
1/2 of hi-sec dwellers are mission runners.
124k x .5 = 62k ( 54.6k if we use your incorrect 195k active account figure, ie you were off the ~correct number by ~40% ).
So Mission runners make up 28% of the player-base.
Its not a number that can be ignored. This is a conservative number that I think slightly exaggerates the amount of hi-sec accounts. But its not the bull**** number you have. This also ignores that the 0.0 and low-sec players are likely to be much longer-term players and subscriber in comparison to hi-sec dwellers. And lets also ignore the number of 0.0/low-sec people whose alts mission ***** in hi-sec but are ultimately tied to 0.0 accounts.
/edited to fix some swapped numbers.
/this
I have three paying accounts. One pirate "main" (not so much my main these days,) one industrial "alt," and one dread "alt".
Of these three characters, my "main" lives in low-sec. My industrial alt shares time between 0.0 and low-sec, and my dread pilot is exclusively in low-sec.
Of these three accounts, each has 2 alts in various market locations in hi-sec. So right there, you are looking at me, a person who "plays" almost exclusively in 0.0, being responsible for 6 hi-sec characters.

and here's an afterthought.
I can't even GET to .0 for being ganked. I'm not AFK piloting - every jump is WTZ. The gang on the far side of the gate can lock, scramble and destroy me after I uncloak and before I finish aligning.
enjoy the loot. No, I won't fit more T2 next time.

Getting killed?

Because you're either doing it wrong or doing it in the wrong type of ship and also wrong. Sig removed, inappropriate link. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] ~Saint |

The anit pirate's go around looking for a fight and if there lucky they will get one and pod the pirate who was to slow or just not looking.
Well, when 40-man "organized fleets" show up to 'fight', nobody is exactly keen on suiciding their ships, although we've done that crap on occasion.
It is pointless to fight totally outblobbed. Sig removed, inappropriate link. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] ~Saint |

Yeah, if you periodically go to 0.0 and rat, miss half of your targets and don't pod people... so.
By the way, why should 'anti-pirates' have gameplay mechanic advantages over pirates? It's not like they can't train the same skills, use the same ships, etc.
