They made me train it to 5 for covert ops and recon, but I will be damned if I can find anything this skill actually affects. It says it lowers the cpu need of things like co processors, which don't use cpu in the first place, wtf?

Not at all. Re-read the description, it doesn't mention reducing the CPU requirement of co-processors. You need the skill to be able to use co-processors, and the CPU reduction is on things like sensor boosters.

doesn't appear to affect sensor boosters, not listed as an affecting skill for boosters in EFT nor does it appear to have any affect on the boosters I put on my ship. I fully outfit my hound according to the very run of the mill setups, play around with my electronics upgrades skill, and not one single attribute of my ship changes.

Maybe it's not sensor boosters then, but it says sensor upgrades. Try it with ECCM.

It affects Signal Amplifiers. Which gives an awesome boost to my Two mid slot Crusader. So rather than have to sacrifice a mid slot, I can use a low slot, sacrifice a small amount of speed and fitting (15 CPU and 1 PG with Electronics Upgrades 5) and get both a Scan Res boost \o/ and a locking range boost.
Co-Pro II's require level 4 anyway.
Made of win if you ask me. ---

It's not as bad as Anchoring.

Wasn't this a thread last month too? The consensus was it's worth it for covops/recons, and Defender missiles is the worst skill ever.

/me blinks and double checks the skill list.
You're right. Defender Missiles is the worst skill in the game, possibly seconded by the four COSMOS science skills. ---

I disagree, Capital Remote Hull Repair is worst. Maybe regular Remote Hull Repair. ------------------------------------------------- Mac Graphics Performance Guide <3 my Drones |

anchoring doesnt do anything, but its required to launch bubbles, pos structures and a prereq for training starbase defence.
now the construction skills (frigate, cruiser ... ) are useless. They ONLY allow you to build certain ships, and combined ranks are a lot more than the three ranks on anchoring. . |

Electronics Upgrades isn't useless as it unlocks CovOps ships and EAFs. The per level bonus isn't great, but it's hardly worthless.
Jurry Rigging V, now there's a worthless train. No bonus, nothing unlocked. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

Only reason I hate it because most of the other T2 ships you atleast are raising base skills you'll need on almost every ship. Its done training so oh well atleast I can fit T2 Co-Processors on my ..Haulers?

At first sight, that skill (especially at lvl5) really is a waste of time, but: Its a prerequisite skill for: -cloak/covops/recon (cant remember what exactly) -hacking (and that is by far not a bad skill) -inventing (as you need hacking for the encription methods skill)
So its really not a waste of time skill

Support the introduction of Blaze M crystals for Amarr! (Or make Amarr the only race able to deal EM damage from turrets).
