I just found it weird how they all came to the conclusion that they are cylons just because they hear music. It is uncanny, sure, but are cylons known to hear music? No.

7shining7one7	Posted - 2008.03.26 04:10:00 - [48] Edited by: 7shining7one7 on 26/03/2008 04:16:42 I think it's just to entertain and keep people guessing, personally i'm more interested in starbucks ties to the lords of kobol, and the cylons too for that matter. they don't know where earth is, is it inhabited by a tribe of humans at the time they get there? maybe that's where the 12 colonies and 13 tribes started out before they colonized space and lived with the lords of kobol. maybe it isn't the first time the cylons were invented. everything has happened before and everything will happen again. or the whole "human fleet" could all be cylons pretending to be humans, with programmed amnesia in order to know more about themselves and what they really are.. their fascination with the maker might cause them to mimic his apparent pattern of experience. they have a surrogate collective mind and ressurection mechanics as it is. Also the logic of an AI would certainly dictate to know everything, particularly about itself. And make huge strides from a scientific and logical viewpoint since they are a collective mind, with no real free will guided by pure logic and precision, rather than the human emotions and wisdom and compassion that is our guide. And that is exactly the part they are finding out they are/were missing to understand the maker, so they did their best to mimic emotions. but it's going to be interesting finding out exactly who guyus baltar saw in the opera house

Something else I realized after watching the mini, Tigh has been in the military for 40 years. That would seem to mean the Cyclons have had skinjobs for at least that amount of time -- assuming he wasn't replaced by a Cyclon some time ago, which would be pretty weak and derivative. So if we assume he's the only Tigh, then the Cyclons have had organic versions since the original war. That throws a whole new light on their machinations. Back at the beginning of Season 2, Adama states that Billy reminds Roslin of the previous President. What if Billy really is the 5th Cylon and he WAS the President, just older? Quite the possibilities. Yeah but the Cylons only started trying to create a biological Cylon near the end of the war (see Razor). They couldn't have created humanoid Cylons at the start of the war because they were busy rebelling against the Colonials. So Tigh would have had to have been replaced by his Cylon counterpart between the end of the first Cylon war and him rejoining Colonial Fleet. This is part of the reason I don't want to believe that Tigh is a Cylon. I think that those four guys are going to spend the start of the next season believing themselves to be Cylons when they really aren't, like Baltar when he was on the baseship.

Then even if you are an athiest and believe it is the end of your existence you might be wrong anyway. Then again if your a reincarnationist it works out pretty much the same whichever one you are.

Buxaroo Reikoku Band of Brothers	Posted - 2008.03.27 14:15:00 - [59] I am really getting into BSG in a big way. Great production values, great stories, great characters. When I first heard about them redoing BSG years ago my first thought was DISCO in space. But man I was wrong. I watched the first season's first 3 episodes and I loved it (awhile ago and that was on divx files on my computer). But I bought myself a new 42" 1080p LCD HDTV set and I watched one of the newer episodes in full HD glory and I gotta say I would hate to watch any of the first seasons on dvd or regular TV signal. Should I wait for them to hopefully release the first seasons in a boxed blu-ray set so that I can watch them in the sequence they were originally in (so I don't get too lost or not appreaciate the newer storylines), or should I got ahead and watch the new episodes in HD that are airing and come back to the original on dvd afterwards? ps, HDTV looks awesome compaired to standard 720 or standard tv broadcast believe me. DVD's even look like **** compaired to HD.
