Somehow my EVE window won't open up on any screen that exists. I minimize then maximize, and I see it open off screen to the left of my main window. I tried redoing my properties so that there was a monitor over there as the computer saw it, and when I min/maxxed again, it opened to the left of the main screen again, but nothing came up on the other monitor. WTF is wrong with my settings? My Sisi client opens just fine, and I have the game set to startup when I log in, and that's the only time I can get my TQ client to startup fine to where I can see the window and move it around.

I'm finding it hard to understand the problem you are describing. Is it happening in fullscreen?

DOesn't matter, fullscreen or windowed, I can't get it to open up anywhere I can see the client running, except in the start bar

Try using evemon or the evelauncher to "relocate" it to a certain screen...

1) disable the second monitor in windows (right click your desktop > screens tab > disable teh second monitor) 2) run EVE in safe mode (should be a shortcut somewhere in your start menu. Or when running vista, right click eve icon in the games window > run in safemode) 3) delete all your settings from your client.
Just try these things one by one, they could all potentialy fix your problem. _

Okay, what is effecting my game or computer to where it wants to open the game in fullscreen on my left monitor, no matter what I set it up as in the settings? I've tried putting it fullscreen, then windowed, and it goes windowed, I move it to the other monitor, or I do nothing with it, and after I go to click something else off the screen, it jumps back full screen on the left. I cannot get it to stay windowed and stay where I want it. I'm really starting to lose my patience today with all this stuff breaking, and my internet going down for a second or two every half hour

Edited by: Julia Newmatar on 23/03/2008 20:33:18 I'm hoping you haven't re-formated yet, here's how to fix it.
1. Start Eve in windowed mode. 2. on the Task bar right click on the eve bar and select move. 3. use one of the arrow keys to move the window a little, one or two taps will be enough. 4. the window will now be hooked to the mouse cursor, move the mouse and the screen will appear. 5. Profit.
The reason this happens, is because when you minimize a window it is actually moved of the screen, to a location way off to the left, about 100 or so screens away. when the screen is reopened is is moved back, sometimes windows forgets to move it back.

well, that's for the first problem I was having, and I did try that, it didn't work, the window never really existed, I had to nuke my sisi install to fix it, now I just can't get it to run in windowed mode, it wants to go full screen on the left monitor. Not a true fullscreen tho, I can click on the right monitor and it still stays up. I tried making it fullscreen in the settings for the right monitor, and it stayed fullscreen there, but it also made a fullscreen on the left again, so it basically cloned itself. None of my nvidia settingshave been changed, so it has to be something wrong with eve itself.
