For further interested viewers i can recommend "Pathology" by Emanuel Rubin and John L. Farber.
Lots of often very graphic representations of the worst of the worst case scenario's involving diseases.
Gives a whole new meaning to the words "graphical violence".
Especially the STD section is

If you're man enough to indulge in that sort of risky lifestyle, you should be man enough to take responsibility and deal with the consequences too. If you're going to continue with this sort of thing get tested periodically, don't just wait sitting on your ass until another one-night-stand texts you with more STD news weeks later.
I once had a related scare, and even though I turned out to be clean, for a couple of days I did think someone might have passed me a little surprise. Some of these things, even though treatable, can stay with you for life, and I was considering the prospect of from then on having to inform any possible partners beforehand of this event. Luckily there was nothing to worry about, but the experience made me reevaluate considerably my position on certain attitudes.
Live young and careless and make mistakes if you will, but do learn from them.

No biggy, get tested, and if you got it, you'll just have to go on a course of antibiotics for about a week or two, even syphallis these days is treated with penicillin, whereas back in the day you had to get the dreaded umbrella shoved down your urethra.
