They are not that difficult to take down once you get them out in the open.

While i think it¦s a bit silly to compete about who can kill the most goons i did some work with my spreadsheets. And the magic result is 38 billion building cost assuming you spent the months to get the bpo to me 1. Ad to this all the hauling some poor bastard had to do and all those component bpo¦s that were used for months and so on, and the logistics will be worth some to. The equipment remains at large a mystery but the 3 officer smartbombs have been confirmed and if you manage to get some good deals of contracts they will land on about 2 billion, and with officer smartbombs i'm assuming he didn't go all T2. Logistics is hard to value but i would like to claim that the kb value (who does not care about insurance) would be 50-65 billion. I'm not that good at insurances but i think the base insurance is 10% of base value giving the ohh so happy pilot 5 billion to spend on a new Erebus, So happy mining.

So according to your calculation, making a titan in raw materal minus the insurance payout (not counting modules) is 18 billion. --

You all know, as well as I do, that GoonSwarm didn't care about that Titan! Afterall, each and every loss they've ever suffered has been but a "drop in the ocean", and the 25 billion that combined merc contracts have cost Goon is simply a days' worth of ratting (aparently). The best thing to remember, is that even if Goons do lose something as valuable as a Titan, they'll just turn around and say "Well, it was that one member that lost the Titan, and the rest of us are fine". I wonder what possible excuse they could make if every single Goon lost a Titan? Perhaps they'd say it was done for lolz! Tiger.

This is indeed the way that Empire miners can fight back against bullies and gankers. GJ on organizing and keeping things transparent. Eve being the game that it is, people's skepticism about its legimitacy was warranted. Now that you have shown the way to provide a service properly, it should be a model for future donation-based enterprises. Oh, and it couldn't be happening to a more deserving bunch. If Goons have accomplished anything in Eve, they have shown us all just what the bottom of the barrel looks like. Keep killing Goons!

If you want to compare that then you have to add all the time each individual spent buying a ship someone spent the time building, fitting it, and moving it to where they want it. I pretty sure the time component of the masses out weighs the time it took for a few to build a titan.
