ATTENTION: CCP
Dear Oveur,
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank CCP for assuring their customer base of their Zombie-attack readiness.
However, I would like to point out that they currently lack a viable form of insurance that would cover them in the unfortunate eventuality of a repulsed zombie attack.
We are all familiar with the death and destruction normally associated with Zombie attacks, but one of the lesser known victims of Zombies is the financial viability of corporations whose assets are not properly protected with adequate insurance that will not be voided in the event of said Zombie attack.
Due to the fact that, as of now, no commercial carrier are currently offering policies in this regard; I would like to invite CCP to consider entering into an assurance and risk management program with newly formed:
Mobile Necrotized Persons Incursion Liabililty Fund LLP
Do not let zombies ruin a perfectly viable and successful corporation, protect your assest with adequate insurnace today.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact our office or Eve-mail our Principal, Mr. Haradgrim.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this proposal, we look forward to any future communication.
Yours truly,
Haradgrim MNPIL LLP. "Assisting in the absorption of mobile necrotized persons incursion liability since 2008"

It seems likely that Iceland could escape a zombie infestation unscathed - the chances of zero infection are quite high.
In addition, there are US military bases in Iceland. Military firepower will not be an issue. ____________________________________ Caldari by birth, Minmatar by citizenship.

Originally by: CCP Chronotis There is also other benefits which protect our headquarters. In summer we have over 23 hours of daylight, this helps thwart any plans at an invasion until the winter where they will then be hampered by ice and snow. Our isolation also serves us as their is much less migration and it is easy to lock down our airspace fast and patrol the sea for any drifters where the current and prevailing winds also assists us in narrowing down our search pattern to the west atlantic mostly when out on zombie ship patrols.
Whilst the food sources are limited they are sustainable albeit with much more limited choices, however in light of a zombie apocalypse, we would prefer survival at the cost of not having too much imported food which indeed carries the risk of infection. Talking of infection, there are few migratory species which may well be at risk from birds to whales. These will of course be screened to see whether or not they can be vectors for any spread of the disease in the food chain.
Also, whilst Icelands military is not numerous, they are a hardy folk who along with local citizens can be formed into an elite zombie fighting unit. This is aided by CCP and its staffs long term training and expertise in both strategy, planning, tactics and management which will allow us to direct and spearhead icelands response after the apocalypse.
The servers in London can be run remotely as long as their is power and a connection. If necessary we would establish links via satellite to maintain a feed on the station and source local power by installing a tubular solid oxide fuel cell in the structure to help power Tranquility long after the national grid dies. Should London become an issue where national grid power infrastructure degrades and quickly deactivates we will conduct a large scale operation to secure the servers and move them to iceland where they will be relocated to a secure facility.
Also, since zombies eat brains, CCP's customer base will also be largely unaffected.

Its good to know that with all that daylight, the possibility of Iceland being ovverun by Vampires is pretty low.
The other issue is, are we talking about slow ambling zombies, or 28days sprinting zombies? Because I have nightmares about the latter.

Actually, if you closely examine the footage from one of the earliest zombie outbreaks (commonly referred to a "Night of the Living Dead") there are a number of instances of highly mobile zombies shown. They do not appear to be common, but they are definitely a threat.
As for vampires in Iceland, unfortunately, while there are times of 23 hours of daylight, there are also very long nights six months later. :(

Request for Urgent Emergency Response Relationship
First, I must solicit the your strictest confidence in this matter. This is by virtue of its nature as being utterly confidential and 'Top Secret'. I am sure and have great confidence of your ability and reliability to prosecute an agreement of this great magnitude involving a potential zombie apocalypse requiring maximum confidence.
We are top official of the Federal Zombie Prevention Review Panel who are interested in the protection of goods and/or culture which, in event of a zombie apolcalypse, may be trapped in the United Kingdom. In order to commence this Emergency Response Relationship we solicit your assistance to enable us transfer into your country the said trapped goods and/or culture.
The source of these items is as follows: During the last prime minister's term of office, the government officials set up companies and awarded themselves Zombie Defense contracts which were grossly over-invoiced in various ministries. The present government set up a Zombie Defense contract review panel, and we have identified a lot of inflated contract deliverables which are presently floating around the city of London ready for use and/or enjoyment.
However, by virtue of our position as civil servants and members of this Zombie Defense contract review panel, we cannot acquire these deliverables in our names. I have therefore been delegated as a matter of trust by my colleagues on the panel to look for an overseas partner into whose holding we would transfer the sum knowledge of our civilization and high-value cultural items (Keeley, beer, the BBC, etc...) Hence we are writing you this note.
Please note that this transaction is 100% safe and we hope to commence the transfer latest 3 (Three) business days after the Zombie Apocalypse has been confirmed. Your company/country's signed and stamped letterhead will enable us write letters of claim and delivery, and award to you these goods and/or culture in your name.
We are looking forward to exporting our country's finest heritage to you in case of the Zombie Apocalypse and solicit your confidentiality in this transaction.
Yours Faithfully,
Dr. Om Grawr

Edited by: Haradgrim on 04/04/2008 21:42:02 Don't forget that you agreed to the EULA that contains a provision allowing CCP to conscript active subscribers in the unlikely event of a Zombie attack.
As such, in order to be an effective operator; you will need to familiarize yourself with Icelands defensive strengths and weaknesses.

The real security vulnerability with CCP is is that Iceland's economy is imploding.
Let's hope CCP's borrowings are low or, given the sky-rocketing interest rates in Iceland, we will all find ourselves clients of EA or whoever puts up sufficient cash to rescue CCP.

This in itself would cut CCP's overhead by a significant amount, as they do not need to be paid, and will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without the need for sleep.
Oh sure, they don't need sleep, and you don't need to pay them per se, but where are you going to get the supply of brains to keep them going?

I was not aware that zombies were incapable of crossing water - wasn't that Vampires?
Of course, given that CCP has acquired the World of Darkness IP, I do not doubt that they have all required anti-vampire measures in place.

I have been authorized to inform you that the recent transmission regarding the export of all [nation in question removed for security purposes] assets has been intercepted by an anonymous foreign intelligence entity, however rather than exploit this in breach of protocol, we seek to inform all parties currently within the scope of this message that there is a serious vulnerability in national defense systems against contamination. This is implied in the original article that states that the "spray" (of an assaulted zombie) has the capacity of infecting people who have open wounds. Research indicates that the contamination of the Reanimated Dead could easily seep into the water systems of the planet, causing gradual, but imminent infection of all living beings even if not coming in direct contact with them. Unsanctioned research is currently considering the likelihood of this event in every possible way. Please exercise the utmost degree of proper judgment concerning this issue...

Ok special case, If a ship from wherever is attempting to escape the zombie hordes. They are unaware that a few people on the ship are infected. When the ship is only half a day or so from Iceland, an outbreak occurs on the ship, and all hands aboard are infected. The ship continues to steam towards Iceland, now packed with zombies.
