Edited by: Mike Rowlings on 07/04/2008 12:31:56 So I take it that with the introduction of factional warfare, missions in EVE will change from a static pre-defined model into a purely dynamic one? :drools:
Please confirm this.

No, faction warfare will just be for roleplayers to blob each other over and everyone else to occasionally watch and laugh

Two months until faction warfare +three months of whining over imbalances +two months for 'patch of patch' to settle in -------------------- =Full-on mayhem ready for Christmas 2008.
Looking forward to see what kind of solution they come with to covertly make Amarr rulers of the solar cluster once more :D

I hope that it will be a bit more than that, as we've been blobbing each other for nearly five years :)

That is easily solved. IT'S CALLED A NERFBAT.
But we are needing one of the old and mighty Tombs nerfbat hits on capitals blobage this time.

Do I win a prize or something? :D
I don't know about yall comma but, "In June we're going to add more...factional warefar" seems like "add more..." seems like the author deleted things and then added in factional warfar. I mean the author even had a specific question about factional warfare and Hardarson said nothing of June or any date.
I call Bullocks.
Very sketchy journalism in my mind. I would seriuosly doubt that any representative would have dais that it will be out in June and us here on the forums have not heard as much.

Enter Ghostbusters and the 'crossing of beams' effect. They'll simply make it risky to set off more than one doomsday in a system soon after another out of fear it'll create shipeating anomalies.

I'm really looking forward to factional warfare, and hope it is awesome. I especially would love a way for the empires to seize space from each other. It makes no sense for empire borders to be static, I think the minmatar should be able to annex vast swathes of amarr space, for example.
Ambulation I couldn't care less about.

Awesome for the economy!! Weaponry, armour, ships, upgrades...nothing like warfare to kick the manufacturing industry into action!!
That will make use of those Titans...defend the key economical centres of your faction!

Pfft! A bunch of unwashed, undisciplined, godless slaves? Better start practising kneeling and whimpering, shackle time is coming again to a system near you!

Easy fix: don't allow Titans to either jump or enter standard warp for ten minutes after setting off the DDD. This means that all the Titans will have to remain on-site as each one sets off their main weapon, meaning that in order to kill a cap fleet without giving that fleet time to recharge shields or armor between each DDD, the Titans will likely have to kill themselves as well from all the DDDs being set off, or at least damage themselves to such a high degree that their enemy's support fleet can jump in and take at least a few of them down. After a couple of engagements like that, rebuilding Titans becomes even less cost effective. For the same amount of cash as it took to replace one Titan, the enemy could have replaced 40 or 50 Dreads, or 50-60 carriers.
