Drone regions are a mess. From what I can tell its Smash,Roadkill,Atlas,Pure -vs- IRON,ED,Interpid Crossing,Legion of Death. the Sov atlas has at the moment has changed hands several times in the last few months (DMC,XX,ATLAS). Its a very new and lucrative (despite what everyone thinks) space and im sure sov will change hands a few more times before it settles down.

Pure. isn't involved as far as I can tell.
IRON is blue to SMASHKILL.
The space is slightly less lucrative to corps (no ratting tax), but more lucrative to alliances that have refineries (tax from ratters ! ). It's now fairly easy to get all minerals for construction too just from droning, with excesses of nocx/iso/zyd/mega/morphite (probably causing the lower iso/nocx prices)
Exploration still isn't great, and mining is nigh on worthless despite having most of the minerals seeded they are instead spread over many systems with few rocks, and you make more droning anyway these days. Faction spawns aren't great, no chance of officers or very tasty faction/deadspace loot.
And BTW, none of the above has anything to do with Rule of 3, there's another thread around that says basically they had their towers offlined from the inside and a bunch of stuff stolen etc.

1.Actually if you check the kb's Pure is starting to be a presence in the region. If its out of boredom or bigger plans are remanied to be seen.
2.Smashkill and Iron just wrapped up a war. My apologies for not knowing things were blue and everything is kopastetic
3. One of his questions was "What is going on in the drone regions?" So I answered it.
4. Its good to see a post that doesnt start with Goon or Bob. But I digress.

The greater part of Oasa is what has kept changing hands of late, the core that represents ATLAS and our home has been such for now 5+ months.
The conflict with IRON was simply a dispute over friendly fire, there was some clean pvp on both sides, nothing involving POS's - we won a few fights, they won a few - we all had a good time and are now buddy buddy again.
Although I have seen a few PURE pilots around the area there is nothing significant enough to declare there active participation on a larger scale of things.
The situation with RO3 appears that they were given an ultimatum by what I believe is mostly harmless to surrender or be removed from their space, this is just here-say on my part and I have no concrete information other than rumors.
The situation with ka-tet is that internally they are having an emo fit for the last few months compounded with constant pvp pressure from surrounding entities such as ATLAS/CI which they can not deal with. They fractured internally along two lines, one of which remains as ka-tet and the other that split off into Carpe Universitas Alliance which took over old DMC space from ka-tet. This space in Oasa is at the moment being contested by RK/SMASH/ATLAS/CHAOS/FIX/VI & a few smaller aligned elements.
At the same time SDG has split off from there short lived stay in XIX to form what I believe is there own alliance, they have anchored 1 tower into NGM outpost system owned by CHAOS. The core of ED/XIX/IRC/SDG are the resisting forces in the area who are attempting to assist Carpe when and where possible.
At the end of the day it remains to be seen where IRON & Pure will throw the bulk of there weight but for the moment it appears as though they are playing the neutrality card apart from shooting commmon enemies on both sides when the situations present the opportunity.

Killboards can be deceptive, Pure. have had a presence in the region due to their proximity for well over a year.
Quote: 2.Smashkill and Iron just wrapped up a war. My apologies for not knowing things were blue and everything is kopastetic
IRON shot some blues, they were always blue to SMASH (a few friendly fire incidents) and weren't blue to RK for the whole of 7 days. I'd hardly call what had the mostly blue to SK for most of the week of the 'war' a war with SK. As far as I can tell the result at the end of the week was closer not more distant relations.
Ka-tets problems seem to be mostly internal. Their external problems are acutally with the splinter group Carpe Universitas vs Atlas etc.

Edited by: eldiabloroho on 07/04/2008 12:20:41 Edited by: eldiabloroho on 07/04/2008 12:20:26 Yes MH wanted Ro3's space a few in Ro3 just gave up and offlined all their towers before anything started, they seem to be moving back to empire. Ka-tets big problem is they built to many outpost and the region doesnt have enough r64 moons to fuel the sov towers and corps in ka-tet keep bankrupting and having to leave. I dont think ka-tet even wanted the 3 outposts in oasa anymore and the ppl who did want them splited off to form Carpe. Carpe have been getting beat up pretty bad but IRC and Solar Dragons have helped them out and Atlas lost alot of capitals. Now FIX is trying to take the 3 outposts in Oasa that used to be DMC space. Ka-tet just had a civil-war and removed the infamous scammer corp BIG and seem to be bouncing back with a few new pvp corps joining their alliance.

MH comes to us(Ro3) and says you have two hours to either hand us the space or we start taking it. They had fleets already in place. We were blue to them so this came as quite a shock to us. We had just cut alot of fat and were making good inroads with getting everything back to the levels they needed to be at. MH claimed they would just hold sov and "give it back" once we showed we could defend it. Well after council and realizing we were way outgunned and did not have the bank for a long drawn out war with MH we agreed to pull out. MH repeatedly broke agreements of ceasefire due to misinformation and imho outright made up intel so they could have some flimsy excuse to shoot our stuff and steal it.
This was a land grab pure and simple. Instead of being a true ally and friend to help us get to where they wanted us to be(which we were very close) they take the space to futher their moon mining and super capital building for all you big giant alliances out there.
I can not speak for others but when PCTI agrees to do something we always hold our end of the bargain. We are a corp of our word and always have been. I hope MH has fun in their new space. We will go and regroup and will continue to have fun as a corp and an alliance.

nice group of lies so trying to contact merc corp to kill MH had nothing to do with it? saying you would sell your space for 60billion to MH enemies had nothing to do with it? RO3 had fighting from within and were falling apart. please don't post lies like this. you are either a liar or no nothing what is happening in your own alliace

Says the alt. RULE did not have the bank to hire anyone. That was all the misinformation i was talking about. We were trying to find out if someone had been hired against us. You take smack talk to literally. Only after you had broken the ceasefire was anything even taken seriously. We had kept our end of the bargain. No moves had been taken to try screw MH out of what they were getting.

That is actually quite a bizarre claim. It seems rather unlikely anyone would give up his space so easily if he actually had the money to hire a merc group powerful enough to oppose that kind of force. Even stranger is the idea of selling the space to some MH enemy. It was pretty clear pretty early that rul3 had no longer been in possession of self-same area, so how do you actually "sell" your space to somebody who would be strong enough to simply get in there to oppose the invading MH force - or crush the original inhabitants in the first place. that must have been quite a strange bargain. Most rul3 corporations had allready been in the process of taking down their POS and were about to leave the area, when MH suddenly started attacking the people who were allready migrating away. I can only interprete this move as simple griefing or the action of people who spend most of their time NPCing drones and felt the understandable thrill of sudden machismo, a psychologist would probably call it omnipotence complex. Well, whatever, things went as they did, I can only congratulate the area¦s residents to their new neighbours. Hopefully this series of incidents will be a lesson to them.

Why did mihi come to help if you were waxing the floor with us? they were on a good number of our kills BTW. You know why they came. We had reports of Tri coming with you. That is why they were called. I was there in the battle and Ka-Tet never made it. MM sat on the other side of the main battle so the ones they killed and finished off were the ones of you that were running. Yes MM being there help speed things along but you still would have lost it just would have taken a bit longer. Those of us who lost ships were getting back in replacement ships and coming back. We had quick reinforcments available while you did not. It was a fun fight no doubt. I applaud your willingness to fight.

(As a bit of background I was a director in one of the smaller corps in Rule, Black wolves, we left days before Destiny. attacked. I switched corps this week because I wanted to focus on pvp)
With Mostly Harmless, the deal was worked on between EMD and Ni4Ni, certainly the smaller/new corps didn't know about it. Those guys were the major stakeholders of Ro3 space owning 80-90% of the sov holding deathstars. But it was still pretty poor to setup a deal to sell the space seeing as certainly in the EU TZ our corp was making up 50% of all defence fleets forming up.
In a way I'm not surprised it blew up in their face, ni4ni lost virtually all their pvpers and EMD self destructed (what you still doing in ni4ni Ezraniel?!?). ro3's biggest problem was that we had too many blues and even tho we (the pvpers) constantly asked to reset a lot of useless alliances blue was always deemed best. I think the alliance leader (Brka) might have always had selling the space at the back of his mind. He's a good guy, but I knew something wasn't quite right when we virtually insta-napped ka-tet split off carpe universitas.
All this stuff about someone hiring someone to attack MH is nonsense.
To be honest MH haven't got the capability to hold that space anyway, 90% of the time their drone space has 5 or 10 people in the entire region. If drone space that is 3,000 jumps from empire ever becomes worth something I would expect MH to lose it pretty much instantly. We were constantly trying to setup intel channels with them, but all their drone region inhabitants are carebears.
As a final note, I liked quite a few Ro3 guys, it was good to see people I flew with in EMD, PCTI and Borat kick Destiny's ass. Especially sweet was that several ex-EMD had joined Destiny, they'd rampaged through Ro3 space while still in EMD shooting alliance members before they left. Whichever Destiny corp took Marrick Hammond, you deserve that guy, he thinks he's a pvp God cause he can gank n00bs in Mai. He is very good at shooting at blues though, I'll give him that.
