This wasnt a fight, this was a coin toss.
If the node held, the attackers automatically lose because the defenders already loaded grid, and auto-aggressing fighters will kill everything.
If the node didnt hold, the defenders are doomed because the attackers, being numerically superior, will log in more people when the node comes back up and pick them off one by one.
Not much of a fight.

By my point of view here it totally added up to well over 750 hostiles, wich a good 100 got pawned by Wetrain and friends that intercepted the hydra gang wich LOGGED with aggro, MM RZR pure MH ME SE and pretty much every singel entety in the north came, scouts reported joined forces of those gangs to around 600+ INSRG never went abov 250 at any given time, NAPtrain you internally was feed so much missinformation by your own and by "Others" intelligence and counterintelligence is EVERYTHING.
Resulting in your UBER blob of fail, you ahve been fighting bob for a year now and still bring numbers that you know servers wont handle so either you were hoping on a node chrash or you jumped in due to the simple fact you dident want to loose face?
A rough rundown Start date: 2008-04-14 End date: 2008-04-15 Kills: 335 + another 100+ this morning = 435 Losses: 107 (And this is not counting the hydra losses)
I for one was OH MY GOD! did they just do that. Bad call from Naptrains FC¦s jumping in it was more like bringing cheeps to a slaughter, props for bringing it.
I have sleept 2 h now sitting at work having my m8tes tauntering me for beeing a MMO geek.
Thanks CCP for the most fun **** ever.

Not much of a fight.
Fighters do not auto-aggress unless you shoot the carrier which owns them. That requires you to have loaded the grid and activate your modules.
To give you an example: nearly all but two carrier pilots could see and target the 100 BS on the gate later in the fight, but those BS had loaded the grid (they managed to kill a lone carrier out of remote rep range, none of us could see them though).
We had to execute a lengthy one-by-one log in and log out plan for the carriers to get them synched back onto the grid.

Fighter drones can be attached to support ships, the fighter drones then auto agro as the Frig/cruisers/battleships are targeted.
You are not on any km's because at the last patch Carriers assigning fighters no longer appear on km's (Bit poo really).
Only if you directly engage a target or as you stated are auto aggroed with drones out do you get on the km now.
Fighters were not assigned. Largely due to few support being alive for long parts of the fight. So no auto aggro. If we got you with fighters it means we had to order them directly to do it. That also means we could have shot you with a bs, carriers are just that much harder to kill. |

Many of us mistake Phobia for true fear. Whereas fear is a gift from God to be used for self-preservation. Phobia are obstacles strategically placed in society by opposers of positive existence. Through stereotyping, innuendo, false documentation, and glorification they'll turn your fear switch to a permanent on. We can change this by changing the small truth within' the lie. Death is a small price to pay for respect. Death is a small price to pay for respect. You know who it is.You know what it is. Peace out.

This is true for the most part, but it's all the fighting you get with those numbers in a system. Seeing the intentions and actions of RZR and MM, im happy it went down this way though. Steamy

Originally by: Butter Dog Lets be clear about the numbers: Coaltion had over 400 in BKG, and 200 jumped in from OP9. Thats 600. They had caps on standby. HYDRA got caught with their pants down on the way, but that would have been another 130. So their numbers were at least 800 in total. Local numbers before they jumped in never topped 270.
Of the 600 who jumped into Z-K, about 400 are now dead, and the rest will die when they log in :)
Lag effected us very badly, but we actively and calmly managed it through various means (such as Darths special ability to see BS no-one else could, and activate his fighters ).
Fighters don't auto-aggro. I know this because my carrier had drones out for 5 hours and didnt get on a single killmail until very late in the fight when I could actually assign the little buggers. However, if you shoot a carrier they will aggro, but that requires you to lock and fire (ie, not be totally lagged out).
We won the fight because the coalitions only tactic was 'uberblob' and I can only imagine they were hoping for a node crash. I have no respect whatsoever for this approach to playing EVE and I'm not going to pretend I do. They got what they deserved.
If you are jumping into a camped system when the other side has numerous carriers with fighters assigned then you have no real option other than to bring a lot more people because you are very often the side to suffer most with the lag, you are stuck in bubbles and so cannot bail out (even if you could move or activate anything).
If you had, what, 250 say in system, then in the current game that alone is enough to cause horrendous lag especially with all the fighters I bet were on the gate, it would have been an absolute idiot that would jump in with 250 to face 250 set-up at preferred range with fighters.
You say "omg you blob" when the game as it is does not give you any real option to do anything else other than just say "well lets all go back home again" which is exactly what ended up happening with the bob/goon war.
Complaining about this kind of blob also totally ignores the realities of the game for most people, if you put a call to arms out you can hope for say 20% of your total numbers to be available and ready to go at that time but if people make the effort then you cant say "ok you 100 extra guys thanks for coming but we think you might cause too much of a lag issue so thanks for staging for 2 hours but can you **** off now". Sure they may be a couple of really hardcore entities where you could get away with this like the bobbits but they are very few and far between.
We had this same issue when there was the big fleet battles in the drone regions (though thank god at least there we never had titans to deal with as well which just make the whole idea of jumping into a laggy system beyond a joke).

Its pretty pointless to complain about blobbing. I hope that Insurgency realizes this and realizes that this is what you will be fighting against from now on. You WILL be outnumbered but you can still win. Just take it as a compliment that they bring so many for so few.

This has only happened once in the era of cynojammers, and that was V's BoB. They lost (as did you).
So lets see what happens this time, shall we
edit: I also might add that in the uber-blobbing of FATAL et al they were fighting a very different kind of entity, in very different circumstances to INSRG
