Hi, I'm a bit intrigued by the Archaeology. It costs 900,000 and requires Science and Survey at Level 5. Which gotta take many days to train so I suppose such high 'cost of entry' hints on some huge returns from this 'investment'. Is it really so? Does training Archaeology (and getting Analyser module) giving some really interesting and wealthy missions or any other occurences yielding good return in a form of at least fun or at most - good ISK?

yea its highly profitable.
you will want to get hacking skills aswell so you can explore 2 diffirent sites instead of just archeology.

Ok, one more thing - how will it all work? I mean ok, let's say soon I train Science/Survey and Archaeology/Hacking and get those modules. So what will happen? Next time I will look for Cosmic Anomaly with my scanner - some Archaeology sites start to appear? Or I have to apply to agents for this specific type of mission? In other words - how do I find such places?

Exploration only, not cosmic anomoly so you'd need the whole probes thing ect...

You need to use exploration probes. Train Astrometrics level 4 and get a scan probe launcher. Drop a multispectral probe in your favorite system to see if there are any Cosmic Signatures (not Anomalies). Then use Quest, Pursuit, Comb, and Sift probes to pin down the exact locations of any sites that exist in the system. Archaeology sites can be Magnetometric signatures if I recall correctly.

... And archeology sites aren't worth the probes used to find them in highsec, are debatable if they're worth the time invested in lowsec, and finally only worthwhile doing in 0.0.
