I am always trying to improve myself as a player. I feel it is the CEO's duty to provide intersting gameplay through his vision and goals. I feel that CEO's should build a working structuree that provides the service of employment to its employees and products/services to the greater EVE community. But that is my opinion. Is there other things I may be overlooking as a CEO? Any replies would be appreciated.
Because when it is all said and done, it is about who has the most isk. |

It would be selfish to speak for myself really (oh hi, I'm a CEO!).
Endless dedication, having to keep the troops updated and coming up with refreshing news/reports/activities every now and again. Being able to broker deals with other entities, being charismatic enough to secure such deals. Think ahead, plot plans in stages, each with a set timeframe and measurable degree of success (resource allocation, recruitment numbers, pvp statistics) and so on, and so on. ---

A good ceo is the driving force behind his/her corporation and is a major player in whatever alliance they happen to be in. A good ceo can handle diplomacy and politics, can make decisions fast, isn't overwhelmed by a given situation, and most important: Can swallow his pride and admit he was wrong.
I consider myself a good ceo. Now I just need something to be ceo of.

Modesty, discipline, maturity, charm, acumen, and gravitas sprinkled with a dash of good humour is a fine start.
And you're wrong when to expect so much of a CEO. They are just playing the game for fun too, and are not unpaid jesters there to entertain you (and the corp).
A good CEO will outlay the vision, but its upto the members to buy in and do the hard work of making that vision a reality.
So says me.... A 'failed' CEO of 2.5 years.

The most important ability of a CEO or Executor is the ability of choosing the random capitol letters you need to add to your corp or alliance name if the name is already taken.
