When I really want to "print" isk for something shiny, and my mission running buddies aren't around, I'll sometimes run all three of my accounts in Lvl4s.
For me, I like to be able to concentrate on one primary damage dealer, with the other one or two characters in supporting roles that can sort of be "set and forget" (I don't multitask all that well).
Currently I use a CNR to pick up aggro and do damage, with a Domi running perma armor repping "tank" (doesn't last long if she inadvertantly attracts aggro) that follows and shield repps the CNR and also provides Ogre IIs as supplemental damage dealers, and sometimes using a third character in a Vexor loaded with T2 mediums. The cruiser can also quickly grab any mission specific doodad after the fireworks.
Of course, this set up is in line with the skills these characters have - but my question is this:
Assuming you had to control two or three accounts, what is your ideal L4 mission running setup? Controlling three CNRs to lay waste (hard for me to keep up on, and hard on the iskies currently in my wallet) or some variation of damage dealer/support? What if character skills were no object, and your own multitasking skills were the limiting factor?

I have done this little experiment myself with a couple of accounts and here is one that works painlessly:
1 x Nighthawk
Warp in, agro and start killing from Smallest to Biggest
1 x Domi
Warp in after agro, release T2 sentries and start from Biggest to Smallest
1 x Cormorant
Warp in mid mission and start looting and salvaging
Cleared WC lvl 4 last night, all rooms with loot in about an hour. I have a 1 month old baby that keeps interrupting me and causing me to look away from the screen.

The corm pilot would be better off in a hurricane. Rig that baby up with 2x salvage tackle and it becomes a salvage machine.

Edited by: Couv Ilion on 21/04/2008 22:13:56 I've done it like this (dualboxing)
1 domi with sentry drones + supertanked. highs has shield transfers and drone link augs. Also has a flight of shield heavies if needed
1 raven fitted for DPS, minimal tank
1 geddon fitted for DPS, minimal tank
both the raven and geddon have 1 flight of medium armor rep drones to help out the domi if needed. also carry 1 flight of t2 lights for anti-frigate.
Both the raven and geddon have shield hardeners fitted for when they get aggro (i know, i know, but the gank fitted is sick). The domi can keep them up for a pretty good amount of time with the transfers and drones running.
Running missions in amarr space is just ridiculous how fast everything dies, especially when aggro is on the dominix and I'm fighting Sansha/Blood raiders. Can run 1x LAR t2 forever at 65%+ cap.

I am currently running missions with three characters:
1. Gallente - in Navy Megathron, Hyperion or Dominix 2. Caldari - in CNR 3. Amarr - in Armageddon
Each ship is fitted out with a balanced setup in terms of tank/gank. That way I don't have to worry about respawns too much. I try to draw aggro with the ship best suited to the task in that mission. I make sure all the ships have their watchlist on. I set all drones to guard the ship with the most aggro, with focus fire on. This puts 15 Hammerhead IIs out at any given time. Then it is just a matter of focusing fire and switching screens. ------------

Visiting other missions gives me a decent sample of observations. I can tell you that the Chinese guys who do this professionally will typically use Ravens, Dominixes, and Armageddons. The Dominixes (Domini?) seem to be shield repping the Ravens. I can't tell whether the Armageddons are even used in the fight, but I do see them salvaging (or attempting to salvage, hehe) and looting.

2x CNR's (in mission) 1x any marauder (looter) waiting outside and jumpin in to loot salvage when it's done
Will save you approx 4..5 minutes what it would take to dock, turn it in, take marauder with main char, fly back out to mission location, and back in after it's looted/salvaged as you can do it all while mission is already in progress.
If you really want/need remote support then 2x CNR or Golem or regular Ravens and 1x domi or typhoon as remote support with some self sustaining tank also (possible to use logistic drones on main missionrunners on him if he happens to draw agro).
