Oh what a coincidence that TRANQUILLITY has been runnin sweet
for the last 14 hours with over 8300 users, then 45 minutes
before a scheduled shut down, sorry but we have technical difficulties.
This is either REALY REALY bad timing "OR" Certain people should
keep fingers out of systems before a Scheduled shut down is supposed to
happen. 12:00 not 11:30, as i said this is either realy bad coincidence before
a large harware update or **** poor managment. In my opinion im entitled to this
rant because i handed over my credit card, that CCP takes money from.
Now i am left with a character, pre-warp limbo, at .5 jumpgate.
Should we realy have to PAY for a game with not only taking combat and character
survival into account but to add "IS THE SERVER GOING TO CRASH" while im
in a combat or a hot zone low sec.

Lets hope OLD TRANQUEY gets a good overhaul so this "AWESOME",
more addictive than "***** COCAIN", game plays the way it used to.!

Yes, I'm really ****ed off about this, because I had a skill complete itself about 30 minutes ago, but the game crashed on me 20 minutes before that and I couldn't reconnect. Hence I missed my window to start training another skill and I'm now losing 12 hours on this. Well, that's my only problem, I don't care much for the server going down, I have good faith that this isn't really anyone's fault, but losing skill training time because of this really ****es me off. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but still...

Yes, same goes for me. Logged on and started a training which would take 8 min. Didn't get any warning that the server would go down (it crashed?). Now I can't train the skill I wanted to. I f*cking hope they will get the server up again for a few minutes before the big upgrade, otherwise I'll just be mad these next few days and gameplay wont be very fun.

The Servers had a power outage and lots of charas got messed up. Everything should be back after midnight.

That's precisely what I'm ****ed off about. I was fully aware of today's extended downtime, but was hoping to have a skill training in the meantime, and now I don't, because the servers went down a lot earlier than expected. >_>

Actually, I'm in the same position as both of you.. My char hasn't been accessible for the last hour, being stuck between 2 gates, and thus I am unable to start the skill I had scheduled for the extended downtime =/
Sarcastic congrats to CCP for messing up the server JUST before a scheduled extended downtime.

I have the smae prob, too. i just finnished training some skill and wanted to start to train one that would finnish in 7 hours, oh well.

Power outtage, eh? Either they are lying, or they don't have decent UPS backups. Or maybe someone didn't notice the warning light... worse yet, noticed it, and didn't care.
None of those options reflect well on them. These are servers we are talking about... They just don't "lose power".
Someone f-ed up.

hey true BS, the one hour warning goes off and i have 15 mins left to train a skill so i stay online and wait it out. I want to start a long train while the 12 hour downtime. then poof goes the server. I just looked at my char and shes done training, what a messup. Im acually really ****ed about this =/

After all, I think I'm going to be an ass about it and badger them until I get 12 hours worth of skills back. I mean, they're the faulty ones over this issue, why should we have to suffer the consequences?

Good idea. I'm so much of a nice guy this didn't even cross my mind. I'm gonna do this as well, but I wonder how they "refund" us these wasted 12 hours, other than in simple game time, which I don't care for. I want skill points, not game time. >_>

Well, HOW they do it is their problem, not yours or mine, as long as they do it - that's the beauty of it.
I know exactly which skill I was planning to train, it was a lvl4 training that had 12 hours and a few minutes left on it. All they have to do is manage to auto-complete that and I'll consider the problem sorted.

Ok, the server was up , and i got to dock my char, and change my skill, everything is
cool once more. Long live CCP, but why do they scare us like that. :)
