Just a thought
I was talking to a guy on eve the other day and he asked how old i was and i told him (46)- hummm he said never came across anyone that old on eve!.
OK OK Am the grandad of EVE ONLINE or can someone be more"  how can i say....... more wise than me! " lol  
ps:- like the RAPTOR might be old but boy i gotta good bite!

My v. reliable sources tell me that Miso is at least 65 yrs old and really does smell of mothballs and wee.
Apparently she was an extra in the Calender Girls.

is real cool some mature players on line....I get my leg pulled so much at work for playing EVE(bit like an old turkey)it's a young guy thing they say! ,"only guyz in their teenz play gamez"...
Now i can tell them to- "SWIVEL"...JUST COZ I PLAY EVE 5-7HRS A DAY! .

SORRY to burst your bubble dude, but my dad plays on here (Nosmo King) and he turns 70 in July. He runs two accounts and flys around in an apocolypse, I kid you not, I am 30 this year also. I am sure my 69 year old dad is the oldest player on eve - respect the tribal elder!

not sure if this counts one time I had my dog fight in a frigate against some NPCS. He of course lost my Ibis because he forgot to fire the guns =/. Hes also not very good at anything but typing "amiopsm;f". Still if he counts hes about 77 in dog years =)

Well you got to realise there were thousands of multi-user dungeon gamers playing text adventures on mainframes in the early 70s. A lot of them are now in their 50s and 60s but they won't have lost their appetite for gaming, especially now the kids have left home!
Being 37, I'm from the first generation of console gamers.

One of the nice things about EVE is the diverse age group that plays the game. I think if I remember correctly earlier "how old are you" threads have placed the average age of the eve player somewhere in the 20-40 age range, with it more concentrated at the 25-32 ages, though with the recent influx of new players that may have changed. Most of the players in my corp are in the 25-40 range and we have a couple older than that, and a few younger. Me, I'm only 30 so I'm still a young lad.
Since the computer user base is getting older we will see, as the years progress, a marked increase in the mean age of the players. I have no intention to ever stop playing computer games therefore I'm good up until I pass from this world. The age of parents and grandparents on computers is just now in its dawn; the days of the older gamer are at hand.
The prospect of these forums advancing beyond childish bickering is both welcoming and frightening at the same time. (:

This is so cool, we got alot older players and generally i always felt that way because of the more mature aproach from most players. My corpmate is 45+ years, i dragged him into this game and he is my best online buddy for years now. I hope to play many games for many years with him, i know for sure that the ammount of older players in the future will only rise. Who the hell would like to play cards when they can put on a headset and imitate Darth Vader?

Im 34 and have been playing computer games since i was 12. started on the zx-81 then had a speccie. Amiga followed then a mega drive, Jaguar 64 bit then a playstation. followed that with a dreamcast then bought the best console by far.. the Xbox, and had a pc for a while too.
I used to love playing elite and frontier. I had been waiting for an elite style game for years then suddenly EVE pops up.
My dad whos now 63 and enjoys the odd computer game reckons I should grow up but if growing up means turning into an old fart who only gets enjoyment by playing dominoes and drinking bitter then bugger that. I intend to be playing games after they have nailed my coffin lid shut :)
Oh and just for the record so you get an idea of what people who play eve actually do for a living, I work for the MOD, cant say what department though hehe.
