I paid the ransom, as the screenshot demonstrates. You've been warned not to pay. Here is the screenshot along with the killboard:

Most hardcore Lowsec guys honor them, many don't. Last month I ransomed a Dominix for 2 million isk and honored it. I was in light tackle and the rats almost had me dead. He paid after I warped out :D CCP and even the CSM have a lot of hardworking men and women who are very intelligent, working on making New Eden a better place-it is CCP management that I fear the most. |

I figured this would pertain even moreso to hi-sec people. The number of noobs, like me (which now I've learned how CONCORD doesn't act), is really large. If they build up a reputation for not ransoming, they actually lose money, potentially. |

the answer it's easy: when the noobs find out why Concord not shooty, also the same noobs won't fall for the trick (or won't fall again), so basicaly you have no reason (except some stupid and costly "ehonour") to keep isk and release the ship. So as a basic rule don't pay ransoms in hisec and you will be fine.
P.S. i almost forgot: also when you will ask for ransoms in hisec don't forget to pop the guy after he pays, the reason for this (except isk ofc) is his tears/rage, threats, fanmail and so on |

Popular L4 mission hubs are going to be where these people are. If the population there is made aware, they still net loss money from the lack of ransoms.

First people never learn properly except the hard way; imo it's the human nature. Second even when they shout in local about you and your deeds, you can do your business as usual because it's seems nobody really cares.
P.S. Maybe it's douchy but also it's really, really funny and like i said before, in the end nobody cares. |

I ALWAYS honor ransoms and 1v1's. Ransoms are a great way to make money while pirating. I caught an Incursis the other day in my Rifter, then caught his pod too. He had a full set of +3's. Paid me 25 mil for his pod. Why would I want to screw that up? TBH, I wish people would ransom me if they catch my pod. Sig tanking is the new black |

You're right, but in hisec you can't ransom twice the same guy or even other guy from his corp because they won't fall again for this stupid trick. Also it's really funny after you dishonor ransoms how mad they become; it's totally worth it to not honor ransoms only for this (not to mention the isk). |

Fall for what stupid trick? Paying a ransom and getting to keep their ship/pod? That would encourage your victim, and his friends, to pay you again in the future. I don't live in high sec, so maybe I don't understand. Perhaps you could explain to me how dishonoring a ransom in high sec is more profitable... Sig tanking is the new black |

Everyone has their own personal ruleset, it's a sandbox afterall. Me I always keep my word, I do as I say and I say as I do. Also, from my experience, honouring ransoms is better long term. Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.

It is more profitable because they won't shoot you again so you won't even have the chance to ransom again the guy or his friends/corpmates (btw this is the stupid trick: making the other guy to shoot you first). In short you have the ransom, the killmail and loot.
P.S. I forgot to mention, i do this not for isk just for fun (it's a game after all, i play the game for fun not for some imaginary pixels), iskies are just a nice bonus. |

I normally honour ransoms, and I guess I would consider to pay one (even tho I never been asked), but anyone calling it "kk" (or "mio") I'd just ignore by default. this is a signature |

Wouldn't worry about him too much misanth, you generally don't get a chance to ransom in a 10+ man gang |

Not honoring ransoms is just poor piratage . Every time it happens & goes public the balls fall off 10% more of the high sec herd & makes low secs that much more more bleak. Eve... Burn it....Burn it All |
