Whilst that would be an unwanted and unfortunate situation, I have a backup plan for such an event.

Noob, go back to FreeLancer or the X-series if you cannot bear a multiplayer game. As said, it is NOT real life, besides your WORK was flying that hauler, so if you are not attending this, the only one who wasn't capable doing his was in fact you.
You should first understand, multiplayer means, multiple humans. And even if it ruins your image of a world where honey flows and love spreads everywhere, there always will be people griefing, stealing, backstabbing. Sorry, but this his human nature. And rather play the jerk in EVE than in reality.
(That's why some pepl play GTA, cuz they wanna evolve their bad side without doing real harm to people, as an example.) |

a 500 mill loss from the 3 that attacked is nothing they made a lot more then that off of the wreck loot they gathered up.. over 3 bill worth of stuff lost.. this game use to be good and high sec ganking did not happen. till it broke 14k players.. yes i remember the good days. i do not like the way this game is going and now i am sorry i have wasted paying for it for over 2 years.. i will not recommend this game to any real player only to kids and war mongrels.. this game started out as a multi faceted game that covered several aspects of game play and gave a home for all to play.. with this more targets needed it has made the game one of the worse i have ever played.. if you want more targets do something to get the targets to low sec where they are targets not just picking and choosing in high sec where they are the hunter not the hunted.
it has got so bad i have to go to 0.0 just to get away from the ganking and fighting.. after all i get shot at less in 0.0 then i do in .9 sec now that is wrong..
if all the mission runners and miners quit pvp would die.. they would have no items from the missions or minerals to build replacement ships.. if that is what it takes then so be it.. lets all quit and let the kids have their fun it will ware off like wimps of warcraft.. oops i mean world of warcraft.. all pvp games come to an end this one was a good game to start with and could be great but not with all the pvp take over.. if we get back to the basics of game play and make it so as to make it a little better for all not just the pvp side then it may pull out of the slump it is going into..
you say that you have to deal with gankers in rl well no you do not.. in rl if you commit a crime you get punished. well if you add that to the game and make it so if they gank you in high sec you can file against them and they get fined like in rl they will not be so eager to jump you in high sec .
after all if you loose your ship and you do not get the insurance do to it was part of a crime, and you get fined for the amount of the mineral loss for the items you destroyed and or took you would not be so willing to do it.. as well as to make it faster for you to loose your standings for committing a crime and harder to gain it back.. so you can loose your sec status at a rate of 2 times faster then you can gain it.. then you will not be doing it for to long.
i know that only the gankers and pvp players keep up with the forums so this is for the most part a loss.. i do not care..
