IF you think this, you've never come back to a mission site to find nothing but crap in a can. (Crap being ammo, cap boosters, and scrap metal.)
I once cleaned out an entire site following some dude from pocket to pocket salvaging while he killed the red crosses. Got some nice tears in local. "How do you kill that which has no life?" |

Many of them are as butthurt as carebears as well. The one and only time I had some binmen visit me in a mission, I greeted them, said I wish them good luck with the next 'customer' and gave them all wrecks - and in respond they raged in local about my "rage" and how mad I supposedly was. I was just being friendly and nice. this is a signature |

I think it's hilarious how much work some of those binmen put into keeping everything clean. More so if they salvage even in the least profitable mission.
Some days ago I'd done a L4 mission vs guristas where there are just 2 BS and lots of smaller crap. I thought for some time if I should just leave those wrecks in space but then decided there's enough litter. So I Jumped into my trusted noctis and warped to the first bookmark. Instead of wrecks there was an acceleration gate. A quick check told me I'd really turned in the mission, so I already guessed that I'd got a visitor.
Guessing that any profit oriented binman would go looking for greener grass I jumped in nevertheless to find some cans and some leftover wrecks.
I cleaned the stage and jumped to the next one. Same here. Some wrecks some leftover cans from someone salvaging a part of the stage. When I finally enteres the final stage I found a blinky red who, upon seeing my mighty noctis stopped looting the cans and salvaging the wrecks and warped of.
Dear binman, if you read this some Tips for nex time: - If you clean up, do it properly - If you plan on taking the loot as well do so from the start, so it's at least worth it. - A noctis can't really hurt you, so no need to rum away (Or did you think I'd point and web you till my backup arrives? OK, that would have been insidious) - If you properly clean up my missions be so kind as to tell me so I don't need to waste my time changing ship and flying back. (Thats really the only part I'm mad about bro. You successfully made me waste time.) |

I have done true ninja salvaging where they never knew what happened to the wrecks or who took them.
"Ninja" salvaging is given to a type of salvaging that has nothing discrete about it.
If I wanted to steal a beer from a neighbor, he would never know he lost a beer. But if I did it "EvE Online" style, I would just walk into his house and grab a beer, and act like it's perfectly normal, claiming that there was no lock on the fridge nor any personal names actually imprinted on the bottles. Meanwhile, I have 10 friends waiting outside the door to pummel the neigbor if he tries to stop me.
Could I really call that "ninja"?
Real ninja salvaging and loot stealing takes much more work and a little longer, but is more exciting. It's a true cat and mouse game where you don't want to be seen taking the cheese. I would recommend it as good practice for anybody looking forward to lowsec/0.0 exploration.

I have had it happen while mining - I have a hauler with salvaging to clean up the dead rats. I had someone slip in and steal a wreck from me the other day. If he had asked I would have let him have all my wrecks - I salvage mostly to leave a clean belt. If you want my wrecks, just ask. But i suppose he was hoping I was a noob who would sick my drones on him... lol. |

Reminds me of a trick I played on my ex wife once when we played WOW. Figured out a way to kill myself using some amulate too much. So we deuled and when I died when she hit me, I totally got on her case. You can't kill someone in a duel in WoW of course but my trick worked and I had hours of fun from holding a fake grudge about it.

Confirming "Ninja Salvagers" are lacking in that whole stealth aspect of being a Ninja... Being bright red is NOT in the "How Not To Be Seen" documentary ^-^ A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go |

d.
confirming i left corp quietly confirming there was a corp-awox waiting for my measley 210M bounty on Scheenins gate confirming i flew a trip stabbed rifter into a disco party confirming i was on my way to collect my own bounty confirming 210M is chickenfeed. confirming Skipper typed his retort from a pikey caravan in a WalMart parking lot leeching off Starbucks WIFI on a stolen laptop confirming i exploited another 2.8B this week from the "month old character" i was "bragging about" in corp. denying any of this had to do with getting ribbed for getting podded, assuming that is just silly.
