I'll give an honest run down. We had been holding 4DT all day and the enemy fleet were waiting in BKG/Z-K area. They moved off to start sieging random small towers in venal with their gang of about 150.

We decided we would lay a trap for them when they came back, we positioned our fleet in BKG and a cyno pilot in C-L where the enemy fleet was to be coming from. We kept our fleet in BKG until the last second so the enemy fleet would warp to the LXW gate at 0km. When they started warping to the gate we jumped our fleet into LXW warped them to the C-L gate at sniper ranges and our cyno pilot in C-L decloaked and dropped our cap fleet and 1 titan onto the gate.

Lag kicked in 30 seconds later than it should have happened the DD went off killing just 20 out of the 150 man fleet. The rest managed to jump through. Our sniper gang failed to load the grid and so couldnt shoot any ships on the other side. The enemy fleet somehow managed to get out the bubbles and warp off with minimal losses.

I was in the capital gang at the time so cant say exactly what happened with our support fleet but they ended up getting doomsdayed on the BKG gate while again they had nothing loaded. They just watched their ships health drop helplessly.

Essentially what should have been a sure fire win backfired when i didnt think it was possible. The enemy fleet should have been killed on the C-L gate, but they weren't and then a titan caught our gang with its pants down. Good play on that titans part... and ofc we shouldnt complain about lag yada yada... but lag destroyed what should have been an easy victory.

N1 to the other guys for managing to make the best of a terrible situation.

Tbh only reason TRISURGE has to go looking for fights like this is because they completely control 4DT and have been taking down towers at will. Having 200 bored pilots doing nothing but camp 4DT gets old. Also support fights are fun but losing a sniper BS isn't really that hard to replace.

North hasn't even tried to field their cap fleet and jumps them out the second there is any kind of trisurge gang around. TRISURGE have all D4R moons and now have vast majority in 4DT. Fact is north can brag about killing 15 BS in a fight all they want but 3-4 more weekends like this and RAZOR will be smacking from Jita.

BTW if you still wanna brag about ISK ratios consider this

Thats 1,500+ t2 sniper BS right there

I'm suprised that at have to explain this seeing as clearly being in Hydra makes me so inferior.

If for arguements sake you have 50 players trapped in a system with 2-300 Hostiles having to logoff as SS and you send a force to break the gatecamp which allows these players to rejoin the fighting but you lose more ships than the enemy, that is still a tactical victory.

You have to know what else went on before you can decide and there were several other aspects to this operation which made it a clear victory for NC

Wesley, you were on the outbound gate, and from what i was told you fired the cyno with 160 in local, as ppl were jumping out, because you guys, didn't think it was a good ideea to put up a bubble on the gate, even though you were trying to DDD them. :)

Maybe you should have kept the PVP-ers in the alliance Darknesss, they might have known a dictor was needed for such a perfect plan that just so happens that lag made it backfire.
