Or maybe DHB was simply incautious. CCP do say that they won't be responsible for the consequences if you let someone else access your account. AFAIk, it's not bannable if someone else logs into your account after you gave them the ID/PW, but it's tough luck if they take your stuff or start a war or whatever. It could be even simpler than that, honestly. I use some of the same passwords for different e-mail accounts and accounts at various social networking sites. A couple friends know some of these passwords, so if someone really wanted to hack into my EVE account all they'd have to do is figure out my username. My username is an online name I've used for quite some time, so that wouldn't be hard either, really.
