Its been fun fellas, but recently my account was hacked into, and they got everything. CCP and especially GM Krymus did a fantastic job of finding the guy and punished him severly, however they wont tell me who it was, although I already know from my own investigation.
However even with them knowing who it was, it seems they will not return the ships, modules, or isk. So congrats what I once considered my friend you got away with several billions worth, but now your account is banned. Hope it was worth it.
To everyone in Eve, love me, hate me, whatever. The role I played in this game was fun, I loved every second of it. I respect every single person that I have come across in this game.
I will be taking a break obviously but maybe one day I'll be back... love you all 0/

NOOOOOOO. Ok you cant leave I have enjoyed your videos and fighting style for a long time. Taking a break is good but quiting is not exceptable. By watching your videos I can just imagine what you lost and I would be willing to send you some isk to keep you playing. I dont understand why CCP wont help out here. Well no matter what you choose to do I have the up most respect for you and hope you bounce back. If you are leaveing could you please post your load out for your CNR my guys and I are trying to figure out how you got that thing to go so fast. You can eve mail it to me also. It would be nice during your videos if you would scroll over each slot before you engage. It would help me while using your video for training purposes.

Theoretically, this thread should descend into:- "Post your API key and prove it."
But some how I suspect it won't, Right name, Right alliance.
Sucks to be your account btw. Though if this is as you say it, I don't suppose it feels very good to be GM Krymus right now either.

I don't think you get banned for one instance of account sharing.
It looks like what happened is he friend knew his account name or e-mail password and used it to figure out how to get into his account.
Sorry to hear that though, after such an event I can't blame you for taking a break from EVE. Best of luck.

Well that sucks, how did your account get hacked ? IE key logger or someone you "trusted" knew your pw ? Just curious since I would hate to see it happen to anyone else.
Also what was the reason they would not return your ships, modules etc...

I'm not saying that's what's happened, just that it's a possible cause for the effect.
Or maybe DHB was simply incautious. CCP do say that they won't be responsible for the consequences if you let someone else access your account. AFAIk, it's not bannable if someone else logs into your account after you gave them the ID/PW, but it's tough luck if they take your stuff or start a war or whatever.

It could be even simpler than that, honestly.
I use some of the same passwords for different e-mail accounts and accounts at various social networking sites. A couple friends know some of these passwords, so if someone really wanted to hack into my EVE account all they'd have to do is figure out my username. My username is an online name I've used for quite some time, so that wouldn't be hard either, really.

If you share your account/do something that allows other people to find your account details out, it's your own damn fault tbh. Don't really think CCP should have to go through the process of fixing this crap for people when it is really the person's own fault. Harsh but fair...

I hope it wasn't someone from BE. Regardless, that royally sucks. I really hope you change your mind, although we never met in combat (and I wish we had - you'd have got a lot of fancy loot from me!) I've always loved your posts and especially liked that video you did recently.

Well thinking about it and not that i'm an expert in Eve rules and regulations, but from reading threads like this I get the impression that he trusted someone with his account info or at some point in time. He never changed it and his "trusted" friend decided to get sticky hands and help himself to his loot.
Since I believe that if CCP find out your account was hacked due no fault of your own, they would return anything that was taken. Right ?

That is too bad. Looks like CCP don't care too much for its customer base to do what is appropriate. Especially when an investigation they conducted revealed that wrong doing did take place. They should have returned all the items that were stolen from this customer. Instead they decided they would rather affect their own profit margin by losing an account or two. I myself run 2 accounts at about $140.00 every 6 mo.. I know of one player that has 10 going, no exageration. For every customer they lose, they need to bring in 2 more in order to maintain a profit margin.
